Yes! I think we make them feel secure.. Mine also will cry until I latch her den she'll open her eyes so big n look at me, like very poor thing like tat. Haiz.. But I think if I stop latching, I'll feel sad so jus continue until she self-weans or no more supply..

For bbs who jus learn how to walk, u can buy those softer soles but with some rubber sole for friction n light. Andrea tried a clarks pair (mary janes), she couldn't walk cos too heavy. So the best is to let them try n walk arnd the shop. What I've been told is tat don't buy too big, shld be almost right if not their toes will be too spread out n can't grip properly.
U can try collette (united sq and jurong point) for the pre-walker shoes.. Leather n andrea walks well in it. Bubblegummers (bata) also good, about $20 a pair n its soft on the inside but with a gd rubber sole.
Pediped is really gd n v v v v v nice n v v v v v v v v v ex! $80+ for a pair of shoes. Sure very heartpain if the shoes get dirty or scratched when they fall or drag their feet :/. I was very tempted but didn't buy in the end cos andrea will outgrow very quickly. I let her wear bubblegummers n collette for daily wear n bought her a leather pair from shooz4kids (plaza sing, united sq) for more "formal" outings!
