SQin Good that you are persevering to bf your baby. But don't forget to look after yourself too! You need to eat well (lots of protein and carbs), drink lots of fluid (2-3L a day, but can be water, soup, fruits, etc) and rest to have good milk supply for your baby. Jia you!

Bianz No issue to dye hair during breastfeeding, but my dr advise not to dye hair while pregnant. So maybe wait till after you deliver? In fact, most things that you should avoid while pregnant (alcohol, raw food, etc) can be safely taken while breastfeeding. For baby size, you should try...

Dolphin My #1 was OP. Labour was long, difficult and she was delivered via forceps. Now, I'm doing exercises to prevent OP. Best is to go on hands and knees. Baby's spine is heavy, so this position will encourage baby's spine to be outside. Try to do everyday, a few times a day, few min each...

lush most babies will usually deliver between 39-41 weeks. If your gynae is agreeable, why don't you try to wait? I've heard of so many cases where induction fails and result in emergency c-sect... jkids i heard from lactation consultants that it's ok to eat ginger even if you are bf. for...

jac when you are bf, you should drink more fluids, but can be in any form. If you are following confinement practices, just take more red dates tea and soup. Must drink at least 2-3L a day. You need to drink enough fluid to make enough milk

poseidon gal congrats on being able to TBF! The early days are the hardest. If you can latch baby, that's the best, don't really need to pump. Just latch on demand, as your breasts are never really empty. The more you latch, the more supply you will have. Milk production is all about supply and...

emmeline are you having a girl or boy? I read that if you are having a boy, the aereola gets darker, compared to if you are having a girl. But it is normal for pregnant mums to have nipples and aereolas grow and darken. It is to help the newborn latch on more easily. Even though this is my 2nd...

emmeline84 no issue to exercise while bf. Just have to make sure you don't get dehydrated, and bathe before nursing, so that your baby doesn't have to face a sweaty boob :P cyy follow the original EDD given, as that is the most accurate. poseidon actually level of amniotic fluid can...

bianz depends on the health of mummy and baby. Also, different drs have different opinions. My doctor is willing to wait till 42W before inducing. From what I read, unless there are health problems (e.g. high blood pressure, pre-eclampsia, etc), it should not be a problem for mummies to wait...

If you add the liquor to food, then the alcohol will be boiled away, so can BF anytime. If you are consuming it, then maybe wait 1h for DOM, since it is quite strong. I take my DOM dilute with warm water, which helps some of the alcohol evaporate, so I can BF sooner. Basically, as long as you...

Grace I've heard of epi-no too. My hypnobirthing instructor showed it to us. Think it does work, but you might also be able to achieve the same effect with kegels and perineal massage.

jac we should definitely be able to have a say in what our dr does to us. if you have an opinion about whether you want an episiotomy or not, you should mention it to your dr. if he does not listen to your view or spend the effort to explain his point of view to you, then frankly i don't think...

ritz yup i heard that Dr Tham is pro-natural. Personally, I'm choosing not to do an episiotomy. I read that healing is better if the skin tears naturally, than if you cut it.

welenalexis i'm at 30 weeks, just starting taking raspberry leaf tea. this is my first time taking, so no results to share, but I thought no harm taking. Did read some stories online where other women thought it was useful for them. Anyway it is a fairly nice-tasting caffeine-free tea.
