Hi, congrats to all mommies who have given birth! Just to share my experience with everyone, I have popped my baby boy on 21st Apr:
21st Apr
1:00am - Felt contractions, but irregular ones.
4:30am - Contractions still kicking in constantly, but the intervals ranges from between 4-8mins. Wasnt sure if it was braxton hicks or real contractions.
5:30am - Decided to check into hospital
6:00am - CTG and contractions measurement done.
6:45am - Midwife says contractions are still far apart, and only 1.5cm dilated. Estimated that the labour will take another 12hrs.
8:00am - Decided to take epi-dural
8:30am - Waterbag bursts by itself
9:00am - Gynea examined - 6cm dilated.
12ishpm - Arrival of baby boy!
Just to assure all new, first-time mommies like me, the whole labour process wasn't as scary/painful as I thought it would be!
But that's also probably cos i had the epidural.
The stitches was also of bearable pain, I didnt have to take any of the pain killers administered and could get out of bed the next day for some walking.
Enjoy motherhood!
