Re: Engorgement
I felt like a dying woman last nite when fever strike me at 40.1 degrees. Worst, my #1 was pressing against the engorged side which made me feel even more painful. Basically, i could only lie on the bed and rely on my helper to bring baby to me for latching. Couldn't even find the strength to burp her. Popped 6 panadol cold tablets in all yesterday. Luckily, fever subsided to 38+ by 11+ at nite and i could carry my gal properly and latch her. My gal insist on being latched on at nite before she will sleep. But luckily, she is not the latched to sleep type. Latch, burp, rock then sleep. Fever has finally subsided this morning.
Hi Tinklesmum
It is not the length of time that determines whether foremilk or hind milk will come out. However, the first to come out is foremilk and later hindmilk. So long as u have almost emptied your breast, the ebm will contain a mixture of foremilk and hindmilk.
Just brought my gal to market in the sling to do marketing with my helper.Luckily she did not fuss and only cried for milk when she reached home. Phew.
