since our bb are alrdy 1 year old, hv u started training them to sleep in their own room?

my boy still sleeps with us in same room, and once or twice will wake up in the night. i hv to pat him back to sleep. how to let him sleep in own room like that?

Happy birthday to our little ones!!!!

Sippy or straw cups...I have introduced bothtougin quite sometime back... But the sippy cup tends to choke him whereas the straw ones are fine..

I am planning to kick one the afternoon bottled feed to the cup... Maybe a sippy?????? Not sure yet. Hehehe still deciding..

I have always put ugin in his cot to sleep but he will be in my room... But middle if the night, when he wakes up.. He will cry for me.. Then I will bring him next to me to continue the sleep..
I wanted to boot him out.. Tried leaving him in the cot yo sleep.. He kept standing up... Moving slightly away fro
his sight.. He will stand at the edge.. Stretch out his arms and cry murder...
So pitiful... So I gave in alot of time.. Anyway Joe hardly at home... So the room willbe ugin and mine... What the he'll... Think he will bunk in with me for a real long time to come

my boy also like urs, if wake up in the night, will look for me. he will sit up, or stand up and look around. i tried to make him lie down to sleep again, but he keeps reaching for me. in the end, i hv to carry him, pat pat a few mins, then put him back in his cot.

my hubby will ask me to put him between us to sleep but i try not to, although my boy can sleep really well in our bed, mayb more comfy or got more sense of security? but i dun want him to form the habit...later even more difficult to get him to sleep alone

I had stopped breastfeeding for more than 2 weeks already. But seems that my body is still producing BM coz when i sqeeze my B, there is still drops of milk coming out. Should I bother about it? e.g express my BM for the last time or should I just leave it there, will my body absord the remaining BM somehow? What will happen if I don't do anything abt it? So far I think I'm ok, I don't feel any engogement or discomfort. Does it mean that I don't have to do anything?

Now that my body doesn't produce as much milk as I used to, my B become very sagging and I have 1 B smaller than the other by 1/2 - 1 cup size. Pretty sad when I look at them in the mirror...

My advise is too pump only when U feel full or just squeeze to clear when U having shower. Now I also down to once a day when I feel full. And when we stop BF its better to do message on our breast for at least 1-2 mths before we total stop doing it. This is what the consultant at Thomson medical told my sis to do, so I did do it when I have #1 and now #2 I will do so too.

time flies real fast.

does any of your kiddos still wake up for milk at night? mine still does so twice but he doesn't finish his milk at all. He'll take more than half and leave the remaining 3/4.
how to stop him from waking up for milk? is it too cruel to cut him off like that? my nanny says it's normal and they will do so til they are 2yrs old where they will only wake up once for milk.
My colleague who had two kids told me she rid her kids of this 'habit' when they are a few months old by feeding them water or totally ignoring their cries for milk in the middle of the night.
anyone can advise me?

My boi still wake up every 4-5hr for milk. Now, we're trying to drag his wake up time to 6-7 hr.
Whenever he make some noise, we immediately pad him to sleep. Sometimes, it works, sometimes no.... he will raise his voice, in this case, no choice have to prepare milk for him.

Yes indeed, time flies!

1 or 2 months back she still woke up for milk. I didn't stop her of this 'habit'. The main reason for this is she is underweight so if she's asking for milk I'll just give it to her, even if it's at wee hour. It was ok for me. I mean it didn't really affect my daily life too much except that I had to wake up maybe once at night to feed her. It didn't really affect me much so I just let her be. To me, it's a phase that will pass, when she's ready to change, she will. Always remind yourself that every individual is different. No matter what method you choose to apply, you must ensure both your little one and yourself are comfortable with.

my boi norm will hv his last feed b4 he sleeps... then he'll wake up ard 6-7am in the morning for his first feed of the day...
if he didn't hv his last feed, he'll wakes up btw midnight - 1am for his feed... so i'll try to give him b4 he sleep so he can last till morning... my gf's bb ger now 18 mths oso wakes up for milk in the middle of the night, her PD asked her to give her water instead and it works... now her bb ger can sleep thru... u might wanna try it out but diff bb might react differently ba...

Am still giving my boy cereal + fruits + FM (sometimes). I may add flaxseed to the cereal as well. Sometimes, I will give him bread while preparing breakfast, or some puffs / cheerios. After breakfast, I will bf him.

Just tried steamed apple + blueberry + cereal this morning. He finished every bit of it. I tried and it tasted good.
 
Hi piggysg - my boi is impatient and when he wants milk, he wants it fast.
even if i give him his pacifier or pat him, he'll still cry very loudly. haha

lizy - im feeling the strain about waking up twice nightly to make his milk and give it to him. it doesn't help that work got alot more stressful than before. i feel so emotionally drained. it doesnt help that hb doesnt help at all. he slept like a log even though his son is tearing down the house with his cries.

sunshinebaby - i will try the water method tonight or nearing the weekend but i dunno if it will work cos this method may work better if he is only few months old and when this 'habit' of waking up for milk is not really established. hopefully this will work for me.

like lizy, i too wake up to give her milk feed when she wants... i dont think she is that thin... in fact she is getting heavier... whenever i lift her out of her playpen i can feel the weight... havent had any chance to weigh her though... hmmm... she actually drinks a lot of milk during the day as well... and night feeds are really a B***H especially when i have to wrk the next day... she prolly wakes up for night feed 3-4 times a week... *panda eyed* i still give her lor... actually, you cn always read alfafa's post in her fb... she did type a blog abt reducing the night feeds i think... as well as sleep training... or cn ask elita/cindy for advise becos she did it for trishelle as well...

hmm if he is really hungry he will finish everything loh. no reason to have a few mouthfuls in the middle of the night when one is tired and wanna sleep. he might already developed a habit of needing to take a drink whenever he wakes up (via his natural sleep cycle) and is dependent on needing a drink to get himself back to sleep, so prob why he super cannot wait for the milk when he wakes up? if it's this case then ya u have to sleep-train him out of it. good luck!

eh, maybe try and up her solid in take in the daytime? i find that when my boy hasn't eaten all his meals in the day on time (stupid nursery) he guarantee will wake up screaming in hunger. THE opposite is true if he has completely stuffed himself at mealtimes and in between i give him additional bites of food to try.
