celyn, depending on where i want to pump, i'm considering these 3:
1) avent out & about set (manual)
2) avent isis duo (electric)
3) medela pump in style (electric)

i think 2) and 3) can run on batteries, but dunno if the suction will be weak since i'm not using direct power. it's like using vacuum cleaner w/o the power, haha.

this scan was longer as baby refuse to let us see her fingers!!! after all the pressing and knocking etc, i actually told the dr i'm going to throw up. hehe. had to lie on the side for awhile before trying again. hubby feels it's money worth spent to ease my paranoia. at least now i'm sure of what i want

qiqi, i was also quite lazy for awhile but once i got into the momentum, it became easier. in fact, for the last few sundays, i felt like having a short nap before going to swim, heehee.

twin stars, my bb also quite uncooperative. he was covering his heart area (according to hubby), so radiographer cld not get the readings she wanted. she tapped my tummy a bit and asked me to shift sideways also. my scan took abt 1/2 hr.

dr ho normally will not say much if he find that the baby is doing fine. maybe he felt that less comments ===> less worries for mummy. but i know lah, esp for #1, mummies will want to hear more about how's bb doing. i cant comment much as my DS is not done by him. but i believe he will comment on those impt points like whether bb heart, lungs etc are developing well...
just curious, why do u need a 2nd opinion? i mean my case is because i got pre-existing illness,that why i need to have my DS done by another gynae, but if ur bb is growing well & your pregnancy is progressing well, why u need to do so?

gemini, my gynae also doesn't talk much. his scans are so chop chop, i think he just looks out for heatbeat, then explain where's the head and the legs. his machine also not very sharp, and i have to turn to look at the image. so overall, not very satisfying whenever i do the scan. have become used to this ritual anyway. not too concerned about what's happening inside as long as the report comes out postive and everything is ok.

krex78, i rem my colleague bought the uno and it's battery operated and comes wif manual option as well. cos sometimes she gets fed up wif the slow pace of electric pump and switches to the manual pump.

initially i was abit worried whether my bb is underweight/small size coz saw the rest all heavier than mine. Feel abit guilty, wondering is it my fault coz I haven't been eating much. I mean I still eat 3meals a day but it's normal portion as b4 preggie.

Went for my DS today. Aiyoh, my girl so un-operative or rather I should say she was very comefortable lying on her stomach. End up I had to walk around the hospital and spent about 2 hours in the hospital. And I was the 1st one to get scanned somemore. Told hubby, daughter follow him coz he likes to sleep on his stomach. Seems everything is normal but I think KK scan not as detail as the other hospital coz never see things like fingernails, shape of nose etc. Only that vital organs are there and normal. They also don't measure weight coz she say baby too small now. Will only do it in 3rd trimester. Oh well, as the DS cost less than S$80, I guess that's the difference lor.

Err...must buy those shawls huh? But look quite nice though. Got OS or not huh?

Ok..now must seriously look at pumps, baby bed, strollers and car seats.

no worries. As long as bb is healthy, is good already. After all, what's more important is that bb gains weight after birth.
I kind of expected my baby to be a bit on the small side, if she takes after me.
Heh.. i feel guilty. Just ate a KFC Zinger burger, cannot resist temptation.

Heard from my mum that beansprout pillow allow the baby to sleep better cos of the weight. Baby will not be awaken by sudden loud noises etc. My newphew all have them...Must buy the beansprout, take out the head only and dry them in the sun...

beansprout pillow is to put on top of bb when they sleep to avoid bb to get a shock due to loud noise or other external factors.
my gal used it when she is small, so far so gd lah.

me thinking of buying the beansprout chest bolster from the BP.

actually for newborn, it's recommended not to put any pillows in their cot/crib becoz scared it may accidentally suffocate the bb.
So i'm only planning to use the chest bolster during daytime naps when there's someone ard watching the bb.

the size of the bean sprout pillow depend on where u wanna place it.
on tummy or leg area, the bigger size.
if on hand, smaller 1 will do.
but not advice to place it on hand, incase bb push it onto their face instead lor. =P

i also don't know about low lying placenta..i as my hse has stairs and i did walk up and down the stairs quite alot recently etc...my neighbour told me not to do that as it will worsen the situation. she also had low lying placenta and she's a teacher. her class is on the 2nd flr, she had to climb the stairs everyday til she bleed. the principle had to shift her classes to the ground flr for her then her placenta moved up. but like no choice for me not to climb the stairs lei

nevermind, iet's jus hope by wk 28 placenta will move up by then.....if not c sect liao lor

however dr is very sure the placenta will move up lei so i guess no need to worry ba

oh....the one the bp is selling includes head pillows and bolster. i don;t dare to buy as i don;t know if it will fit whatever bedsheet sets i'm getting.
u can put pillows at the cot etc but not unattended..that includes stuff toys. also must make sure bumpers are fasten securely
