Hey Cactus & Ellysia,
Think usually when i go see Dr. I didn't paid much attention to the weighting machine.. The one they use is pretty old model one. Not digital. =) so didn't got to see =)

Think tomorrow i will ask the nurse =)
 


My gynae still haven't call me. I tink maybe the nurse didn't even pass the message to her. Just now i call the nurse also a bit rude.

Anyway my bb kicking actively just now and now also.. so i guess shd be alright ba. If gynae didn't call me, i just wait until wed appt.

Experienced colleagues told me some people will gain a lot of wt during 2nd trim but slow down in 3rd trim, whereas some people is opposite (gain less in 2nd trim then sudd shoot v fast in 3rd trim).

Whatever it is, i understand that if weight of bb shoot v fast, likely will get stretch marks cos tummy has to expand v fast.

I tink my bb just have a growth spurt cos recently my tummy sudd expand and become heavier. BB kicks are also more obvious and harder.

ya, this is my 2nd times fainted.. very scary moments.. it just few seconds only then suddenly giddy and faint.. i have to be more careful also.

No signal fainting v hard to "rescue" yourself in time.

Do u have signs of light headed or goggy before fainting?

You are right about the increase in wt gain in 3rd trim. Cos that's wat I heard from frens as well. Scary ya?!! Based on home machine, I have also put on around 6kg. Will use gynae's machine as the more accurate one.

By-the-way, u guys did the scan for every visit? Is it request or standard proceeder? Y my gynae so wierd one... Detail scan no report given n no additional pictures, scan not on all visits... Haiz. My next visit in early March will not be scan. Have to wait 2mths then can see my princess...

me too. since 0 mths till 25weeks now i total gain 8kg too. but gynae said is normal. its time for bb gain weight. i think we both should be normal ba...

Hi Ellysia, I hope you are right leh!! I did hear about growth spurts also. Luckily so far my tummy still dun have stretch marks. upper legs have some faint marks liao.. sigh.

Tera, YES! Scary. I just hope can lose weight quickly post delivery.

i do not have any signal before fainting. only when after alighting the bus and almost across the road that time suddenly i cant see clearly on the road at all... so i directly just grab stranger to hold me while... sigh~

Sharon, my doctor scan every visit. One thing my doctor didn't ask me to go is the detailed scan... For me, this part is a bit scary cause my blood test reveal that my bb's spine might have some problem and suggested me to go for detailed scan.. but my Dr said dun need, it is fine. So i am looking forward for tomorrow scan to ensure bb spine is ok.

I am thinking is your Dr pretty old kind cause they might be those who are very experience so they felt there is no need for you to visit. However i feel you should ask your doctor to pull the appt to three week or one months... U can share with him that you would like to see your baby. =) I believe the Dr will understand. To me one month is already a bit long.. If possible, i really wish to go every week. =D

WAH all on same day leh.

My original appt is on tue 12 Feb but i postpone to next wed one. Actually it has been more than 1 mth for my original appt, so now after postponing will be 1mth and 2weeks difference.
 
wah.. tera oso check up on wed.. so many updates on tat day.. hahaha.. i tink feifei is the 1st to update after the detailed scanning..

If tummy itchy, means that it is expanding. To relieve the itch, u have to apply the stretch mark oil/cream.
 
Eh Shycloud, my aunt told me if it is itchy, it means the skin is stretching so all the more must apply. I dun know if it is tru,e, but I find that it itches less than I apply prob cos of moisture. You may want to give it a try!

My package with gynae got include scan. So usu will have scan nearly every visit. Scan got extra cost one.

Mary rauff dont scan every visit. Same for my case the last pregnancy. But she knows her stuff. So you are in safe hands.

yah, we all scanning on same day but i also know you all pushed back cos usu you all earlier than mine. my apptm's has been quite fixed on wednesdays. but got to push it at a late time so that hubby can make it.

Cactus is right. My pregnancy book says if tummy itch, it is bec it is expanding.

So all the more must apply those stretch mark cream or oil. Usu when i apply the clarins oil, tummy itch will cease.

My Gynae is old. She was my mum's gynae, the one who bring me out to this world. =D
Got to talk to her during next visit. She's always busy and the nurses din't explain well enough.

Understand scan is another cost. But i don't know if my package does include scan anot.

Anyone can explain to me what does the following checks for:

1) 2 ultrasound/obstetric scans (at 22nd and 32nd weeks) to monitor the growth of your baby
2) Up to 2 CTG sessions to monitor your baby’s heartbeat and movements
3) 1 post-natal consultation

Yes, I got to know that she's flying off early June. So hope my BB will come out in end May. If not she will get another female gynae. Cause i told her I doesn't want male gynae.

My gynae's clinic is at Mt E also, so he took around 15 min to come by. I waited longer for the anestathtist. Took me 5 hours to go from 2 cm to 4cm. Only 1 hour for 4cm to go 7cm.

Midwife said I very fast. Tell me for #2 will be faster. Gynae himself also never expected 4cm to 7cm so quickly. Think it's really up to the individual. Can't predict beforehand.
 
hi Sharon, I received my detailed scan report at my following visit with the doctor. Cos my scan was done by a different doctor. And that doctor needed time to created the report and sign it after checking.

yes, very intense pain. I was screaming in pain. My hb said I was like siao za bo.... loudest in all the delivery suite. at one time vision went blur, can't hear anything around me too.

my previous gynae didn't give me report too. His sonagraper was the one who did the detailed scan. So as she measured and filled up her form, she explained to me what the measurements were for. My gynae just followed up and gave an all clear that everything was normal. That day bb didn't pose very well, so didn't get any photo too.
 
Piyoz, I think 2nd delivery should be better... at least your muscles would be accustomed to all that expansion. I dread to think what mine will be like!

DH was smiling from ear to ear during the scan. Even the sonographer noticed and commented.
We are welcoming a GIRL into our family....just nice - 1 boy and 1 girl!
