oh no... so sad for the nov mommy..sighhh... my hb also glue himself to tv/internet whole day long..yest ask him to look after bb while i had dinner then he din react fast enuf and kate fell and hit her head ....sighh... i tink depends on what is the cause of the eczema...., that time my hb loves using steriod cream on kate..which i hate... luckily now her eczema are lesser... and i use alot of different kinds of moisturiser on her, though all docs told me i am wrong to do so... kate also has that shang nao joing action !!!!!!! now i am wondering if one of bbsitter's kids had taught her that!? $(#*)$)#$ tx always look so cute!!!

I hvn't let hannah use any walker yet, she is more interested in putting it in her mouth and eating it then she is at pushing and walking...
I used to have no tv in my living room...for 2 years, cos I thot tv "kills communication" and that if we have frens over, we shd be chatting, not watching tv. Then suddenly, just before Hannah was born, we were given a free tv from a relative who didn't have space for extra tv. So, during confinement i watch tv to unwind and started following the channel 8 chinese dramas...much to the frustration of my HB who can't understand mandarin and think that the drama storylines are silly.

hahaha! I think I'll try to limit Hannah's tv viewing...hopefully she won't become tv addict.

Weekend I was at kiddy palace and mothercare and saw the Bfree bottles. My HB say soooo expensive!! which is true lor, each bottle machiam like almost $20 each!. So didn't buy. Haiz
What we did is to take advantage of the 20% sale at JL and bot new Avent bottles to replace all the old ones...dunno if that helps...but I think it's oso good to change the bottles regularly.

MBB, the baby fair is the same as the one at taka in march this year. Usually people are coerced into signing up for the few thousands package bec if count by per session is only about $50 per session but if you pay each time without package then will be $70 which is more ex. Only concern is if 90 sessions is really needed. Now there are so many chiro in the market dunno which one is good also.

Ladies, any of you doing yoga/pilates? I am thinking of doing some exercise for conditioning my body for long run sake since my spine got problems. Very lazy to do exercises and busy so will try to go during lunch. Any reccomendations where is good?

Bloom & Dora, have you introduce fish to your bbs? your bb ok with it? I started Evee on porridge only like 1 week ago and past few days gave her fish and she got ezcema outbreak again. But i happen to let her eat some gerber fruit puffs with wheat too hiaz hopefully she not allergic to fish if not her porridge only got veggies

Bobianah, jia lark we have been reusing the bottles for so many years without changing..but dun intend to change as too costly. Kept thinking last time our generation also uses alot of plastics,etc...life still goes on

actually JT's face is normally eczema free one, so its also normally steroid free, except for 2 weeks ago when she had a bad flare, due to the Nan HA. Her problem areas are the arms and legs.
Er... your hubby can tahan the mess and live there while they re-do the tiling? Ask him to ask HDB to provide FOC cleaning service lah!!

I'm not looking fwd to her teething lah, just tat she kept showing all sorts of symptoms, so might as well have the real thing and get over and done with lah! I can't wait for this solid rejection phase to be over... I'm going bonkers over this!!

I haven't introduced fish to JT yet. She's still vegetarian I intro her to wheat on Sat by giving her the Heinz teething biscuit. so far seems ok, but then she ate so little anyway.
I did yoga b4 preggie at Bukit Gombak sports hall. I found the instructor very good. But I did it after work... not sure if they have it during lunch time. During preggie, I did prenatal yoga at True Yoga at pacific plaza at orchard. It's really expensive, and I dun find the instructor good, cos they are indians from india, most of the time, I dunno wat she's trying to say

I think bb at 1mth is normally not eczema. My PD (who is a bb skin specialist), says most bb will get eczema at 3 mths. At 1 mth is normally bb acne, it'll go off on its own.

Put JT into the NTUC trolley on sat for the 1st time cos saw that they have new trolleys

I was inspired by Hannah's Alisan hat, and also Bloom's DIY hat, so I went Daiso to buy sponge and felt to do a no-bumps hat for JT. So the cost price is $4

This is the 1/2 finished pdt, there's another strip across the side. But she sweat like mad after a while, so it's not quite practical in Singapore's weather.

no. Javier dunno how to ride. i need to stand behind to push the car wif one hand, while the other support his back. He will fall sideway when i push the car. This car is veri cheap. less than 15bucks. actually is meant for toddlers who can walk stablely. But since my hub bought it, i might as well let Jav ride on it. keke...

actually i hav tighten the walker so tat it will not move. but tis jav too active liao. tat morning i left him on the floor to crawl around the hse. end up he go n explored the walker. wif the walker support, he stand up n managed to push the walker which i had already tighten it to prevent it to move. his strength is veri strong nowsaday. i even have problem carrying him when he struggling to come down. headache leh.. now always hav keep an eye on him as he always crawl around n try to stand up when there is any support.

do yr bb sweat a lot? bb tx will sweat till her towel (4 layers) wet man...this little missy can change 10+ over towel within 2.5 days.so when she went back to my mum'plc, got a lot of things esp towel to wash.

hai...this week - fri, I'm gg to D n D so won't be brining bb tx back. will bring her straight to in laws 's hse on sat late afternoon.

yup, hand waving and up, bb tx is still consuming the Heinz cereal every morning with ebm - from rice cereal -> bannana mulitgrain (she dun like it but force her to eat 2 boxes since I bought it) -> multigrain (have been consuming 4 boxes liao and still left 2 more boxes to go) -> gg to give her the Apple Cereal when she reached 10mths.

I took abt 2 hrs to do the hat cos I am hopeless in sewing! of course I measured her head cos if it doesn't fit nicely, it will drop off mah. I couldn't even tie the knot to the end of the string properly! In fact, hubby tot I was going to use superglue when I said I was going to make a hat for JT. In the end, I managed to handstitch everything, use the red felt cloth to wrap around the sponge. Half way I ran out of red string somemore cos I wasted a lot of string trying to tie the knots hahaha.. this is how bad my sewing skills are.... but in the end hubby was very impressed.... he said this is really the power of a mother's love

JT still on rice cereals. I haven't started porridge cos she is refusing solids, so now have to be very liquid and somehow pour into her mouth... haiz.... I know how tedious it is when bb refuse to eat... let's support each other ok!

So tired...E been waking up 5-6 times every nite for the last 2 weeks. The tiredness has been accummulating n hit me full force these last 2 days. Now everytime E takes a nap, I also hv to lie down, else will collapse in the evening. Really envy those mummies with guai guai bbs. Dunno when I will c light at the end of the tunnel.

Like wat doggiebb said, wait for the avocado to be ripe, the skin will turn black. I will mash it through the sieve cos sometimes it will have quite thick fibres. JT only likes smooth food, any lumps or anything she will pui pui then zip up her mouth, hubby says she likes FINE DINING wahahaha

Actually I know what works for JT's eczema, the $18 for 1 week Mustela lor... just tat I was keep experimenting for cheaper alternatives... I told hubby no more experimenting liao, shall stick to that... bought 5 tubes at a go from the PD haiz...
I won't give JT the pearl powder from China cos I dun trust stuff from china I make sure the fruits/veg tat she eats are not from China one

Aiyo poor thing... JT also had a few episodes like tat, but she will normally pass after 1-2 weeks. Hope E starts to sleep more soon. Yah, must take afternoon nap, I also tend to sleep if not will collapse even before hubby comes home at nite

As doggie say just wait for avocado to ripen. What I do is add half a mashed avocado into cereal n milk. Else my boy gets abit jelak with just avocado cos too creamy. But if it is ur bb's 1st try dun add too much avocado 1st. My niece was allergic to it n broke out in a bad bout of rashes.

Thx...really hope this is another passing phase. JT only likes smooth food. Better get her used to more texturised stuff soon. I know of bbs who r so used to smooth food that when they grow up (one of them is now 7yrs old) they hv difficulty swallowing solid food...keep gagging one.

I once put Ivan in the ntuc stroller too...he seems to like it..bt he lick the stroller bar here n there..bt i have already use wet wipe to clean all...JT only wear diaper in the stroller? u very creative can come out with such nice hat!!

Yest i tried potato porridge with pork..he seems to like it...but tink hubby realy fed too much n he vomited out..

so heartpain...we tot he can take it n like it cos mouth kept open..n when hubby was slow he fussed....

initially i tot potato porridge was yucky but actually quite nice!

I have tried pumpkin,carrot,spinach,broocoli n now potato...wat the next veg tat i can try? i wanted to try zucchini but not sure how to cook it? i love it when he like the porridge!

Aiyah, I think all men are mummy's boy one lah... that time JT was sick and got lots of phelgm, so MIL went on abt her no veg no fruits theory cos very cooling. And my hubby actually told me not to give JT for that week.... then last weekend JT kenna constipation again lor! Haiz... mummy's boy wat to do??! Now he tells me to give JT quietly dun tell MIL ?!?!
Was Ivan the one who dun wan cereal but eat porridge? Hmmm maybe I should start JT on porridge and see??
Oops... no lah, JT wasn't in diapers on... she was in her romper, no pants cos NTUC nearby only mah, so lazy to change her just brought her out in romper I also wiped the handles and everywhere with wipes. But she was so KPO looking ard, she forgot to bite things, for once!

thanks, but i only see the green avocadoes for sale at supermkt, rock hard. how long does it take to ripen and turn black? i bought one before and waited quite long (at least a week) and it was still "green" when i cut it open. had to throw it away after that, such a waste. after that i didn't dare buy any more.

another qn - any way to stop the avocadoes from turning brown? i intend to mash it and freeze immediately.

*pat pat* i went thru tt phase. i was like an octopus.... one hand feed, one hand dangle toys/objects n change them at hi speed.... sing... dance...then still had 2 make sure she doesn't smack e cup/spoon/bowl... or smear food all over her face!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! i was really going crazy!!! tt was when i wondered y i tortured myself, being a sahm. n i had 2 do it 5 times a day!
once i brought her 2 my frens place, all 3 frens had 2 help me dangle toys, entertain her.... haiz..
but one day, she just started eating n drinking again... now she's fine, thk gdness! i tink it's cos her tooth came out. n i tried 2 relax n nt force it.in turn, she felt less stressed....
no hurry on intro other food now lah. main thing is 2 get her 2 eat!!! gd luck! hope it passes soon.

mandy is v naughty now leh. her character is shining thru n frankly, i'm nt really enjoying it. i usu let her hold a spoon while i feed her or she'd grab mine. she dropped e spoon once n saw me pick up. NOW SHE KEEPS ON DROPPING E SPOON!!! purposely only.... she'd leave it on her thigh, look at me all wide eyed n innocent... but her sly little fingers wld b pushing e spoon bit by bit till it drops. then she quickly look 4 my reaction. she'd oso pull my hair n look at me, waiting 4 me 2 scream. once i scream, she laughs... so sadistic...
i tink she's trying 2 communicate w us but can't so is v frustrated n she'd go "ARH! ERGH! HRMMMMMMM!" v angrily. red faced, fists clenched... n she wouldn't stop e shouting!!! ah, once i feel like telling her "OI! say properly lah! shout shout shout!" i was so irritated n 4got she can't speak!

Actually I dun think that avocados r supposed to be allergenic cos it's one of the foods that can be given to bbs frm 4 mths. But somehow my niece was allergic to it n developed rashes so severe they look like boils. Quite chaam. That's why with any food must try a little bit 1st b4 going all out. Avocados turn brown due to oxidation of its vitamin C content. Can prevent by adding abit of lemon juice but not sure if our bbs can take it yet. Normally I use half n avocado, keep the other half whole with pit on. Before using I just scrape off the brown bits which r still edible just dun look appetizing nia. But I think if u mash n freeze immediately wun turn brown gua...

I never tried freezing, just give fresh nia.

How abt sweet potato with pork or fish? Sweet potato is super nutritious n taste yummy so I use it alot esp with fish else fish in porridge quite tasteless. Can also puree asparagus or garden peas n put into porridge just b4 feeding.

BB yoplait contains gelatin (frm beef bones, sekali got CJD prions) so I dun want to give that to my boy. Been looking for other yogurts (non berries) but so far hvn't seen. Anyone found any other brands of yogurt?

lyricist , fizz, i have no prob with the green avocado ripening leh... usually i will leave it on kitchen table after i bought it (not fridge), and it will ripen in abt 3-4 days. i puree then freeze the remaining avocado didn't turn brown leh....

fizz, what kind of physio exercises did u do for cae? cos sometimes i look at kate i also think her legs bent inwards leh... duno if paranoid or what... to me, having no 2 = having maid..but i am paranoid abt having maid!
