when i went sydney, i haven't started solids yet, so anywhere oso can feed hannah milk. Anyway, nowadays, if we go out, whenever we are in restaurant with high chair, I'll put hannah in it to feed her the solids. If no chair I just put her in stroller sitting up position lor. Else, I ever put her on my lap to feed before. Alternatively, solids feed in the daytime before going out and when back in hotel.
At that time, late afternnon we usually go back hotel to rest. Then go out again later. Mvoing around was easy. If no escalator, my hb carry the stroller. haha! That's where carrier can be handy...

wah, u buy so many things at the fair...
i always buy the older models for hp...hb and i dun believe in spending more than $200 for a hp...so my hb always say our hp $0 trade in value. hahaha! But we change every 2 years.

Hah hah, Regina is also getting the same 'over-loved' treatment as Hannah. Hb's extended family simply couldn't get enough of her, kept calling and wanting us to meet for meals so they can see her. Until hb felt so harassed he had to come complain to me.... say pple think he come back SIN no need to work.
We brought Regina to the office yesterday morning. It was quite fun to have her meet our colleagues again after being away for 7 mths. As usual, Regina always behaved very well when it mattered, charming everyone with her laughter and antics.
Now that we are back, I find that SIN is quite stroller-unfriendly. Lots of shopping complexes and main underground passes do not have lifts. In europe, it was a big no-no to take the strollers onto the escalators, but I see Singapore mummies doing it so deftly... all so well-trained already while I'm still jittery abt doing it.
I will be starting part-time work from next week onwards. On days when I need to go to the office, Regina will stay with her grandparents... let's hope things work out ok.

hi mommies, just back from kate's 9 month assessment. she is now 7.1kg and 65cm..failed the 'mechanical' hearing test (using the handheld machine with the freq) but pass the manual one (where she shake toys next to her ears)..ahhaha..
dora..seems that the thermal pot is the next item i wan to buy hehehehee... i saw some brandless ones at NTUC or somewhere before..definitely < $50... maybe those will not work
QSG, if its veg can be leafy veg or potato/carrot/etc mah... how abt minced meat? should be easier to break into small small pieces. since now kind of confirm evee is allergic to fish then maybe intro again after she is 1 yo loh...

actually the newer stocks for the pigeon refills are all made in thailand. I think there's no difference in price leh. I checked the ones that I bought at the taka bb fair in Mar, they are made in japan and also same price as the made in thailand ones that are sold this time round. I think it's the distributor that brought in the thai made ones and sell them at the same price.... higher profit margin mah

Before this current phone, all my phones were the $0 or <$100 phones... cos I dun use the camera or mp3 etc...but now like you said, a good hp camera comes in very handy. esp we are not into photography, so we don't even own a camera (duh!) Sigh, eczema baby really very ma fun... sometimes I also worry if they are missing on important nutrients since they can't eat so many things... so that's why I haven't started porridge, cos at least rice cereal I can add milk so have more protein.
I went for a talk at polyclinic. The nurse said can scrap a piece of lean pork with a spoon, then put the scrapped pork in a bowl of hot water and stir, so that the pork will be cooked and dispersed in the water into small bits, then pour the water and pork into porridge and cook a little while longer. The pork should be small enuf to eat even w/o teeth. Think I will start JT on that cos fish is a potential allergen leh...

You'll have to consider lor, esp if you want a 2nd one. Cos if you stay at home, and with no. 2, you'll have to stay at home for a longer period of time liao... even another 2-3 years. Would it be easy for you to return to work after tat? You'll have to consider this point carefully.... but the joy of taking care of our own baby, seein their every developmental milestone is very fulfilling as well... see which is more impt to you lor...
As for housework, I am PT SAHM lah.. I virtually can't do any housework leh... but maybe all the "free" time I used them to do my marking lah... but can be quite tough one lor... but I think maybe when the time comes, your hubby will still help out a bit here and there?

wow, y'day, came back fr my half day course, a chaos at hse. hubby said tx dun want to eat cereal (which is not possible cos I'm all along feeding her is fine...) and she pushed and cried during feeding. wow, hse in the mess....see until wanted to 'faint'....ask him why anyhow place this and that thing over that, he told me bb tx crying so just leave those thing there. ai-yo...man huh...I do not have this kind of problem.
more chaos is, y'day was a rush for me, came back eat lunch at 1+ after pumping, sleep for half an hr (disturb by bb tx, she woke me up by scratching my face), go and bath, pack up, 55 pump ebm at 435pm again (see how much can sqeeuze so that my next pumping has to be ard midnight since I got to 'delay' or miss my evening pump) and then ask hubby to warm up the brown rice porriage and then feed bb tx. after that, took her for the bath(hubby bath her) and then I put her clothes and left her on her playpen. she wanted to slp liao cos she kept rubbing eyes. so left her with hubby attended her and I went off at 0615pm.
hubby sms me saying that she cried a bit and doze off at 0705pm. when I got back from d nd 10 mins b4 midnight, I asked hubyb how is bb tx? he told me she slp at 0705pm and then woke up at 0730pm then cried. after that, hubby got to carry her to prepare milk cos when bb tx was being left alone, she cried (ai-yo, not my case, I dump all her toys in the basket and left her sitting to play with, she ok...hai..man huh...shake head). after drinking the milk, bb tx cried again for almost 1 hr before she doze off at 0900pm+. ai-yo...

I introduced tofu to bb tx when she is 7mth loh. she loves it very much. sometimes add it to her porriage but sometimes, let her eat like a dessert during tea time.

oh, I see. told hubby abt few mummies brought their kids oversea for holiday. hubby mentioned that ai-yo, kids so young, they dunno anything, wait for they are at least 4 yrs old onwards then bring them so that parents can explain to them the surrounding etc.
hmm..last week, we also increase bb tx milk supply when she is at our hse. morning feed will be 8oz liao. she finished it and then on top of that, she will also drink abt 20-40ml of water.

yup, Dora's suggestion fr taking a short term no paid leave is gd. a gd for testing water as well as bonding with Jav.

Sometimes when I complain to my HB regarding his sister, he will tell me straight in my face that "is my sisters so irritating" After that, I said, I cannot complain issit, then nowadays, I just complain complain abit, else I will directly said it out straight on his sister's face if I don't like it.

agreed with what Dora said. Depending on what you want. For me, I don't mind abt the career climb(though I wished for it last time), now that I"m home with my kids, my "career climb" is when they had grown up and when I realise that the effort I put in can see improvement in their behaviour and of cos, the attachment to me. That's the satisfaction.
You see what you want deep inside your heart. Advise here will be:- the FTWM will ask you to continue to work and the time when they are w/o the baby and SAHM will tell you all the joy in taking care of our own bb and yet complaining abt time when we can't leave home w/o them.

Nowadays i minced up half portion of yao ruo and mixed into the porridge for Reyna. DOn't need to really mince much after cooked, cos mostly will be in very tiny pces mixed in the porridge liao, so she gets to eat the meat as well. I will only be started to give her fish next month.

After 2+ mths, I must say that it does help somewhat. So instead of offering her purees, we offer her selections of table foods.... and she's now happily opening her mouth for rice, brown rice, big pieces of fruits... basically adult foods. She was so gleeful eating sushi rice fed with chopsticks at Sushi Tei yesterday. Oh well, as long as she eats, I'm beyond being bothered about standard practices in introducing solids.

now, i'm pumping ebm.wow, dunno why some mummies can use e pc while pumping. for me, I nedd to use my arm to support another bottle/funnel. anyway, just felt veri pissed off juz now by mum's remarks.
bb tx cried very loud (as usual her thunder crying) when my mum's feed her porriage. I told her porriage is too hot and she said no and start her defensive words liao. saying that bb tx scared of something lah cos this wk, she returned hm on thru nite, on fri, she was lone with hubby, hubby might scared her etc. next time, told me not to let bb tx with hubby. wow piang, what kind of logical is that? can't daughter n father alone meh, need to be so defensive, dun admit tat it was her accidentally fault tat the porriage too hot. i told her can't she see the hot steam meh and she asked me to taste it. I told her by touching the plate, one will know it.
then I wanted to go over bb tx, she just carried away and kept on saying ok ok dun be scared in chinese. bb tx kept on wailing and eye direction keptstaring at me and her body lean twd me. then maybe no choice then my mum just let me carried her. hai...
luckily, hubby is not ard that time, he went out.pised off man...

forget to add... bought the yoplait bb yogurt for kate and let her eat..first 2 bite she 'shiver' cos too sour for that..but after that she did quite like it... finished 1 cup bet the 3 of us.... eheheh.. anyway to 'control' the sourness if we slef made yogurt? anyway yoplait is low fat yogurt...so cannot fatten her up using that....

so fed up with MIL last nite. Had a gathering with hubby's uncles and cousins etc. His cousin has a bb boy 8 days younger than JT, and he is huge lor... 10+kg (90th percentile). His cousin's parenting style is the more traditional type, started feeding him porridge with meat from 4+mth... never feed him veg... then MIL say to me why I never start JT on meat and porridge, always give her veg and cereals, no wonder she is so skinny... and because I always give JT water at room temperature (she calls this cold water), her stomach got wind so that's why she refuse to eat her solids...the other baby will open his mouth big big.... haiz.. but then even before I intro water to JT, she was rejecting milk when she was 4-5 mths mah... this girl always has problem with feeding mah... haiz... then hor... that baby is a boy at 90th percentile... if JT is same wt as him, wouldn't it be scary?!!? and on top of that, the bb boy's father is >100kg, he takes after him mah.... and I told her cannot start JT on fish etc cos she has eczema on doc's advice, then she told me if I never try, how do i know?? I tell you hor I really want to peng san... and then JT didn't co-operate by refusing to eat when she was there, so there were abt 10 pple trying to play with her to make her eat... so MIL feels no face mah... so we kenna lor... haiz... really sian...
But that boy cannot even sit unassisted leh, let alone crawl, but JT can crawl and pull herself up to standing position liao le.... so every baby is different mah, how can compare like tat haiz...

Wat size did you buy? If it's the 5L one, can cook porridge for the whole family wor! You just put the rice and a lot of water, then put the inner pot on the stove and bring it to a boil. Then put whatever ingredients you want and let it continue boiling for 20-30min. Have to stir occasionally to break the rice grains so that the porridge will be more nua. Then just put the inner pot into the outer pot. Then you'll have nua porridge later! I dunno wat's the shortest time that it'll be done lah, but that time I opened after 5 hours its done liao.

Mummies, last nite encountered a drama. Seldom do we bring evee out as difficult to juggle with 2 kids esp feeding time. Yesterday finally we brot evee along for dinner at a jap restaurant, aiyo..she kept licking the table and the baby chair...yucks and no way to stop her....gave her a few baby bites...after that she bored again and kept licking again..the drama came when the waitress serving us lost her balance..drop everything on her serving plate on the floor(got fire as sizzling beef)...and accidentally splash abit of the hot soup on evee. Fortunately evee only kenna some on her hair i assumed from what i can see as Evee didn't cry. But the supervisor was very apologetic and she told us that the waitress actually kept crying in the kitchen bec she was so afraid that she could have scalded evee. After that teary-eyed she came out and apologised to us ...for the dinner, no discount leh but got compliementary one scoop of ice-cream for me and hb. I was thinking so scary to bring Evee out

thx 4 e webbie. i've been wanting 2 let mandy self feed 4 a v long time but din haf e courage. keep shelving it when i tink o e mess. hehehe... i tried finger food w her - steamed potato, banana (not mashed) n steamed apple. she can chew well. basically i just need 2 pop one big chunk into her mouth n she'll chew chew chew n open her mouth 4 more. but she won't feed herself! she squishes all e food into a pulp n drop them all over e place... faint... wanted 2 let her eat bb biscuit but cldn't find any brand i like. bellamy is hard like shit. she can feed herself tt but has no patience to wait 4 it to go soft. all other brands i come across has added salt/sugar.
tink i'll just hafta keep letting her hold e food. maybe one day she'll put them into her mouth.
