Support group - Miscarriages

I do think doing a confinement after an mc (be it any kind) is important. My first bfp ended mc when foetus stopped at wk13. I did confinement for a strict one month. 3.5months later bfp again. But was mc too because blighted ovum. But i believe it was the confinement which helped me to bfp. Because after the 2nd mc, the confinement that followed I cheated a lot. Maybe that's why after that no bfp for next 1.5 years!

So must do confinement if the intention is to ttc again (I mean good also if otherwise).

I was impatient. I stopped seeing her after my chem preg. I went to book tsb. So see tsb once and just nice I already strike. Cox they say tsb like can help strike early mah. Haha I impatient. But I stopped tsb meds after 3 doses cox I has diarrhoea and may not be suitable for me. To take with steroids bcoz of my recurrent loss. Tsb also scared meds clash.

If u asked me I prefer dr Su meds. Easier to drink and my hubby can take her pills also. After I deliver I intend to see dr su again to tiao my body.

For now I'm taking too many types of western meds so I'm not taking anymore chinese meds in case clash. When high risk I be more careful. Dr shelia and prof mahesh also advise better now cox we don't know what will clash.

After 5 mcs I very scared. This time is very precious so trying my best.

Hi ladies. I just mc last thurs from my first fresh ivf at 5wks+. I suspect the preg tissue is not expelled yet. Any advise if any food can assist in this?

I think maybe you can call and just confirm? I very scared give u wrong info. Coz mine says PLC. and usually end of the mth apt on MONDAY afternoon is with the recurrent loss unit.

maybe u can ask if PLC means for that unit? if it is, u will also get to see prof Mahesh. they will see you together.

sorry to hear abt ur loss.
usually for 5 weeks, the sac is very small, so the tissue expelled will be small clots like from period. I not sure any food can help, better don't anyhow take. we do drink the "shen hua tang" to help clear. but safest is to just visit gynae to make sure no tissues are left.

Hi hopeful_mum, thks for your reply. I passed out clots last thur but when doc scan on fri, he can still see the sac and yolk. Tink I will consult tcm... At loss wat to do now.

did ur gynae ask u to go back for further reviews? sorry ah, im not dr just sharing experience. when my early mc at weeks 6+ I managed to have natural mc no need to D&C coz its very small. but I think its also dependent on individual body. impt thing need to have the things cleared out or it can cause infection and affects future fertility.

take care okay. if u don't feel right just go and see dr, coz the scan is always more accurate.

Yup seeing him next tues so hopefully I can expel naturally by then. I wana skip d&c as much as possible! :(
 
hm, your doc give not give you any medicine to simulate cramps and expel the rest?
When I had my 2nd MC, my body did not expel all also, I bleed full af for like 5-6 days after that it taper to bleeding that doesn't fill 1 pad and it lasted for 3 weeks, till I see my gynae again for review. She gave me some kind of gastric medicine which simulate cramps and sure enough next day start my af again and this time I took "sheng hua tang" and it did clear up like a normal period.. Phew...

Yup, its actually like one normal cycle, but cos after mc, hormones may go haywire, so sometimes maybe longer than 4 weeks. Depending on individual body conditions.

I see. This really depends, my first one happened at 9th week, waited for 2 weeks also nothing happened, in the end have to do d&c. Second one was at 6th week, within 3 days started spotting after hcg drop.

I think wait for a few days. coz our body reacts differently. which is also why sometimes the body hasn't detected that we are having a mc
 
I see, give your body time to clear. You can drink "sheng hua tang", help to clear the womb also.
Keep warm, drink red dates, longan drink.
I bled for 3 weeks, although i mc at 5+ week.
 
ya sometimes our body just weird. by right after D&C bleeding shd be lesser. my first D&C I bled for 3 weeks! in fact for my natural mc, I bled for abt 10days and was okay

I mc at 5wks+ too! If u dun mind, can u share what is the cause of your mc? Gosh so i hv to be prepared to wait 3 wks.

Blah.. I hope to get over this soon! So I can embark on my next ivf... Sorry girl, I din really get to read the past posts.. What is your current update now?

Choy, I was unlucky that why gotta wait 3 weeks, my body let abit never expel, that y my gynae give me the gastic pill to expel it.

both my Mcs happen at 5 weeks, both kk and Nuh doc don't have a reason. KK doc say sometimes its just chromosome issues, the egg was fertilized but did not stick to my womb. Maybe my body feel it is a bad egg then decide to expel it. Nature way of selection.

Doc say some pp don't even realize and think it is just late menses. I realize because my period is very on time and I test on the date that I missed.

I conceived naturally, so doc never ask me to what ovulation test, instead ask me to do thrombophilia test, SLE and glucose test.

I had 5 mcs in short over the past 3 years. then im pregnant now, at 16weeks. blood test found out that I have sticky blood, so could be the cause for my early miscarriages.

so now just taking one step at a time and trying to stay as positive as possible though still very scared.

hope u can embark on ur next ivf journey soon. jia you :)

this thread though many heartbreaking stories, there are also many success stories that bring us hope :) so I say we can conceive, we mustn't give up. meanwhile, u tiao ur body. rest well okay :) though I nvr been through ivf I know its a tough journey.

Wow! You are great yourself too! This bb is yours for sure la! I've cried enuff the past few days, now I'm back on my feet ! :) okok will tiaoooooo very soon.

Hi sunflower! Ivf is my only option so no choice. I've high pain threshold I must say. Afraid of needles no more! 'Evil laughter'. Even if I tiao I tink ard a mth only coz I anxious to embark on my next ivf.
 
IVF was my next option if I couldn't conceive naturally by next year. It was a pact I make with my husband, he is not into IVF.

I had draw blood for about 8-9 times this year, highest record was draw 9 tubes of blood. hahaha

I think you need to drink some tonic to tiao your body. Exercise also play a part. I starting slow jogging with my hub this year.

u are very strong! but sometimes may still feel sad, if u do just let it out. don't bottle up feelings.

if u believe in TCM, they say TSB is very good in helping those doing IVF, u may want to consider.

Ya ivf is definitely the last option on the list. Tell me abt it, I did so much blood work and eat needles during this ivf journey! The furthest I go is tcm bah, exercise nt for me..

I am really sad the last 3 days..
But nice pple ard me talk sense so I decided I must pick myself up, so here I am. Oh in fact I'm visiting TSB before my ivf. So I'm gg bk to her again!

hugs, we all understand how hard it is. ya go and see her. she probably ask u to tiao first before attempting ivf immediately.

erm personally I very notti, I believe in trying within 3 mths of mc, coz most fertile. but I after my 5th mc, the tcm told me if I try and fail again, I may stop ovulating and menopause may start early. I was in shock, like mc already very sad, and she tells me I may not have babies at all, I was really sad.
but she meant well for me, so told me to tiao and rest min 3 mths, or preferably 6mths before continuing.

so for 3 mths I wasn't actively trying and managed to strike on the 3rd or 4th cycle. is like I rather take things slower than hurry, but I was still hurrying :p. so much contradiction. age catching up didn't want to wait too long.
 
I also notti.... I MC in Jan and Mar, see so close... But my hub think we should just try again in Apr coz fertile ma... :oops:
That y I scared to see Dr Su, coz she told me to rest for 6 months. hahaha
