I think Dr Loh will give HL for ER, but if FET, don't think he gives HL. Anyway, my fault for not insisting on him giving me HL instead of MC.

oh, like tat hah?? anyway, u already back to office liao. how s ur workload? did ur boss reduce ur work? my place s veri stressful leh, must hav enough rest b4 get e confirmation. we hav 3 preggies here all about 5-6mth, although we take over some of physical work and make sure they get their meals, but they still look veri tired leh...sometime they dun even hav e time t eat!! aiyo....poor mummy...

I'm back from my scan...I have 7-8 follicles around 12-15.5mm. Today got another jab of puregon and tomolo will go back and scan again..

Just hope everything will be smooth smooth..

I jab lucrin for 14 days then go blood test..but was told to continue lucrin for another 7 days. (so total of 21 days) b4 i start puregon for 7 days.. then go for scan to check size. if not okie must cont puregon...lucrin jab will cont until ER..

sorry but i did not follow the thread recently, may i know where are you doing your IVF and who is your Doctor? and what is your dosage for puregon?

The numbers of follicles usually depends on indiviudal condition, age etc....

7-8 follicles are not uncommon though it is on a lower side, there are gals who has lesser than it (1,2 or 3) and find it no point to continue the treatment and dr will increase dosage of puregon the next cycle. In your case, you will still be able to continue as your follicles do grow but guess will be all icsi to avoid wastage, numbers of follicles or embryos that one has does not affect the final result at all, recently there is a gal here who has only 3 embryos from fresh and none for frozen but she is preggy :) do not worry too much on the numbers.

Thanks for the assurance. I'm doing it at KK and my doc is Dr Marianne. My dosage for puregon is 150. (too high or too low??)
 
oh i forgot to mention..my 7-8 follicles are bigger one (12mm - 15.5mm) total have about 17 follicles but the rest are very small. The smallest one are only 8mm..

Do they wait until all balance up then take out or KK will focus on the ok one then discard the rest??

you have to say the total numbers of follicles, cannot just say 7-8 big ones cos as day passes, it will grow, by the time your big ones grow to 19-20 (ready to take out), the small ones also grow so during ER, you will have alot, definitely more than 10

150 is standard, they will retrieve as many as possible including the small ones and the lab will decide which ones are usable. Your present condition is good and safe too, shd not be getting OHSS too

i'm on both..I have been injecting lucrin for 28 days already and puregon for 8 days...

tomolo go for scan and they will let me know what to do next..this is my 1st time on ivf so I not sure of the flow...only rough idea only.. I think if my follicle grow to suitable size then no need to cont puregon already...

thanks for sharing ur experience. planning to take 2wks leave after ET so can hav better chance to be preg. i need t talk to my manager and confrim my leave. seems like the duration is case by case th, mine maybe dif from urs, aiyo, headache...... scared if i take too early r too late wont cover e 2wks. kiasu..............

Yup, already back to office since yesterday. Workload ok so far. Been trying to take things easy & not to stress myself too much at work. But yesterday was in meeting the whole afternoon, thereafter had stomach cramps (maybe sat for too long).

Emailed Dr Loh regarding my cramps & he said is ok. So, I guess will try to rest more when I can (if during work got discomfort, will go sick bay to lie down lor).

Wah....ur place so stressful huh? I think most workplace is stressful....just hv to learn to take it easy lor (but it's easier said then done, right?).

My stomach been having that crampy feeling (on & off) since 2nd night after ET leh. Emailed Dr Loh & he said stomach crampy is ok. But I'm also getting the bloatedness feeling. Like menses coming that kind of feelings lor. HOW?? Anyone had these kind of feelings after ET?

Btw, if FET fail, how long after ET will our menses come huh?

Don't feel good with all these symptoms leh....doesn't look promising. Haiz~~~very sad.

so u r saying u start in may? tat means u start lucrin in may or june? or r ER is in may? coz my program start from april, but ER & ET wil be in june if u calculate e days of jabs.guess i m on long protocol. how abt u?

pls take it easy... it's really different symptoms for different people so pls do not worry so much. the important thing is to relax during these 2 weeks, ok? the rest, we'll just have to let nature takes its course and pray hard, of course! take care there and pls take it easy at work!

Thanks for your encouragement. I sure hope all will turn out fine. Very anxious to know the result. Btw, do u think it's too early to do a HPT now? My ET was on 22 Mar (now is D12 after ET).

when is ur blood test by ur doctor? why don't you wait till D14 or D15 b4 trying the HPT? but i understand that you'll be excited to know the result. I would be very kancheong too in your position.

Blood test will be on this Sat. Just very anxious lor. Not that I'm being pessimistic, somehow got a feeling that I won't be that lucky this time round. Haiz~~~

oh, then did e nurse giv u a workflow thing state that how many days for which injection? if urs like mine, the whole process will be 1.5-2mth. tat means u wil do e actual act in june or july? wat did e nuese told u?

stay cool, though i knw it's veri hard. it's ok u got some negtive thinking, never mind, it's normal. like for me, i also like t prepare myself wif negtive thoughts, the worst one. so tat when e result comes out, sure wil be better than e worst one, or at least e same. i won't feel more disappointed. kind of covering my own eyes, hehe....

my 1st IVF (fresh cycle) failed ..now preparing for my FET next mth.. but i was only upset for about a day or so after I got the blood test result.. so.. dun be so stressed up over it ok?

Anyone know how to reduce bloatedness? I feel so terrible.. Sit also cannot.. lie down also cannot.. what to do? please advise?

they asked u to cal on ur 1st day of menses in may? then i guess ur cycle will start in may. did they explain to u how long will ur cycle be? mine wil be in this mth after my 1st day of menses, the whole program wil take 6-8 wks frm 1st day of menses till ET. so my ET wil be in june.

drink plenty of water, but not e gassy ones. do u hav ur Dr's email address, u can email him ur symptom and ask him for advices or meds. if u really cant take it, just ring the IVF center for help.

Yeah, check with your gynae. But I used to take raw egg whites for the bloatedness, not cooked ones. Also, u might try taking smaller but more frequent meals so that you won't feel too full at one time.

Well....just as I'd guessed or felt....wasn't successful this time round. Cried after I heard the results but somehow was prepared for it coz' had a negative HPT 2 days ago. Now kind of got over it.

Haiz....just had to wait for the next round.

Yup, will be going for next round of FET when my menses comes (hopefully soon so that I can start asap). Since I still have quite a lot of enbroyos left, I don't think I want to go thru' the fresh cycle again (but I understand that the success rate for fresh cycle is slightly higher than thaw cycle).

I'm not going thru' TCM coz' I'm G6PD deficient & thus can't take some chinese medications.

pls take care... its great that you are already planning your next steps!

maybe can try taking some DOM or Yomeishu to strengthen the body? I took a small portion of DOM (about 1/4 of a shot glass and I'll mix it with some hot water) a few nights a week before embarking on FET. I think I started taking it a couple of months before FET. well, not too sure if this really helps but just did my blood test and its a BFP! check my blog for details... http://nafeeza.blogspot.com/
