Allow me to introduce myself here.
I went through an uncontested divorce in 2024. The entire process took about four months.
My two precious children are under my care and control from Monday to Friday.
I asked only the children maintenance fee.
Our HDB flat was sold on the open market and the sale proceeds were divided according to our mutually agreed ratio.
It didn't end here.
My ex insisted to pay children maintenance fee directly to children's bank account instead of mine, which was not in accordance with the interim judgment. I filed three maintenance enforcement applications with the Family Justice Court and attended two hearings this year. Justice was served, and the Enforcement Order was issued in my favour.
It still didn't end here... that's the reason why I'm here.
My ex told my daughter that he would stop paying the Diploma course fee for her, and asked her to approach me for the subsequent course fees.
So I guess, the journey after divorce does not simply end upon official divorce.
