janet... my son is better.. no fever alr, but think his throat is still painful... pd says ulcers wont recover so fast... so he's not drinking milk lehz..

he has lost so much weight... so heartpain..

I know what you mean...very heartache to see the children suffering. If he has no fever, then at least he is recovering. My son also lost weight during the 1 week he was sick...no appetite to eat at all, whole day lethargic and sleeping.

Wonder if your son is too young to take some Manuka honey...my 7 year old is taking 1 teaspoon of the manuka honey with UMF 10 everyday....supposed to help with sore throat, sinus and has healing properties & good for the body.

Very stress up with my baby now. I'm all alone at home with him and do not know how to handle him. He's not drinking much and struggle when I feed him FM. I feed until I burst into tears. He's only drinking 60ml at 2-3 hrs interval (max 90ml after several attempts in half an hour). I believe it's too little for a 7 week old ba. Really at a loss now.

Dun worry. Acutally it's quite normal for a 7-week old to just drink 60ml - 90ml. It's about from 2.5 months onwards that their milk intake will slowly increase to about 100ml - 120ml. Right now it's important for you to not "force" bb to drink or else next time he will have phobia about drinking milk. BB when hungry will cry for milk one. Dun worry. Just feed him on demand can liaoz.

I know how stressful it is cos I looked my 2 gals myself from the time they are born till they are 18-mths. No mother, no MIL, no relative or even maid to help. Everthing o myself... bb care, housework, etc. It's not an easy job but the time for bonding you have now with bb is irreplaceable.

Taro.. dun worry.. like what acthia said... that amt is normal... i have frens whose babies are 9 months old but also drinking 120ml every 2-3 hrs... every baby is different.... if u need help, juz come here and shout.. where u stay? if u need, i can pop by and give u a helping hand??? not sure how much of help i can be of lahz.. but if u need....

Baby's drinking a mixture of FM and BM. I keep forcing him to drink cause I keep thinking he will be hungry. He does seem to have a bit of phobia. Guess I'll have to stop once he refuse else he will hate me for that.

Yr bb is only 7 weeks old, still very young. When he is hungry, he will cry for milk. As long as he drinks, don't worry about the amt. My daughter has never drank 7 oz of milk even when she was 1 year old...Every bb is diff.

When yr bb is sleeping, you take a rest too.

Sometime the bb is frustrated because they are confuse with FM and BM...the bottle and the breast...you should take note of his liking...they sometimes will go on strike when they dont like it..But there again max of 90ml is ok...everybaby is different and on different stage of growing..Actually bb needs lots of sleep in order that they grow well..
My bb also go on strike when I bottle feed him though is BM..he just dont want the bottle..so I have to bring him everywhere I go now..Sometimes feel vry stress too...like last sat he was so cranky until I lost my new Hp..so sad and felt so helpless then I cry out.. But then time to relax must relax ourselves or else will g crazy...You take care

I didn't even see any rose design HK stuffs in Central Phuket lor. Nothing new there oso. Only those normal stuffs which Feifei brought back. The fan is reali worth it lor. I like it very much too. No need adaptor, juz use those 2 pin plug can use liao. Coz BKK, they use 2 pin plug one.

Hope yr BB get well soon. Muz be reali sad to see him lose weight right. I can understand though me got no BB of my own but I love BBs. Especially since yr son is so chubby & cute. Dont worry, he'll get well soon and then u can slowly put him back on more weight.

Yup. Agree with Janet. When bb is sleeping take a nap too. If you're not tired, this is the time to do something for yourself. You can do a mini facial, paint your nails (of cos not in same room as bb lah), watch TV, or simply veg-out.
It's always important to have some "me" time. Dun worry... it's not a "selfish" act. It's a time-out for you to recuperate.
After that you'll be fresh and happy again to handle bb.
"Jia-you and stay strong yah.."
