My aunt used to have a Malaysian cake who would bake Pandan chiffon or Orange chiffon cakes...like you mentioned, will pound the pandan leaves and squeeze out the juice. For orange chiffon, she will peel the thin layer of skin for the smell. Bengawan will use food colouring of course. HaHaHa.

I just called the agency to help me look out for another one...my present one is getting more stubborn, refused to learn and talks back. Something which I cannot tolerate. Headache man.

My MIL oso knows how to make kueh lapis, han zi dan (potato balls).... cant rem wat else she knows liao... Coz my MIL works in a shop selling ang ku kueh de, then she always makes these extras there.

last last time...we did both the bake & snow-skin type..I like the snow-skin most keke..I rem we did do 4ea type & bring bk home.
The snow-skin u no nd oven so u can also do at home using HK bakeware keke...i m hoping to do tt tis yr but got to dig out the receipe
