2WW - for those TTC-ing

Hi ceraine,

I'm so sorry to hear of ur AF reporting.since i started clomid,& bai feng wan,my AF also quite heavy.this cycle,i've decided to stop everything.i tot i'll give my body a rest.very good,no mid cycle bleeding.sometimes i don't know if it's coz i stopped all these,or my body took so long to heal fr the stillbirth.

u r like me,it's not a hormonal imbalance or hubby's swimmers no good.it's a physical interference.so frustrating,right? the 1st time i conceived so easily,heaven must be on my side.hubby must have shot in the correct direction & i O-ed on that side.it took me 9 mths to find out where to aim.that also means for me to have a higher chance of conceiving,i need to know which side i O fr.& my right cavity of the uterus is smaller,& i'm worried if i conceive in that side,baby will be in danger.that almost 1/2s my chance of conceiving in a yr.ppl get 12 tries,i only get 6.but gynae said ovulation is random.doesn't always alternate.mine seems to alternate leh.so the last iui,it was almost set up to be a failure coz i O-ed on the right,then i didn't know which side gynae placed swimmers coz i didn't know i could feel.the picture is finally clearer to me now.

i hope AF doesn't report man.that will be the best mother's day present ever.had iui done on wed,wah,until today,cramp like crazy.so worried.but good thing no bleeding.a bit of staining after iui only,& i think that's normal.cramps dying down now.somehow i feel different this cycle.feel more confident.don't know is it coz i feel everything has been done correctly.guided gynae to insert swimmers to the left,sort of figured out how to get hubby to insert on left too.then no mid cycle bleeding.but i think we all know,the higher the hopes,the bigger the disappointment.hopefully for me,it will be elation.

Either to see dr fong during my O period for the "talk" so he could scan if i O naturally without medication?Else shall drag to two weeks later, sat, then see him.

Somehow,my heart is telling me to take it easily, let things fall into pieces when time is right, and not go against heaven's will.

probably a year later, or mayber never, that we'll be parents.
probably we'll be in for surprise when we are less focused to get ourself preggy every month.
probably.....so many probably....

dun lose heart. All of us TTCing should hang on too. We have already come so far after months n months of TTCing. When there's a will, there's a way. I always think that it's a test for me to show how much i really love kids. Maybe if kids come so difficult for me, i will learn to be a better mummy to them and cherish them even more. See, i really tink heaven's watching and has its plans. I had reacted well for my last attempt at so-iui, yet DH not ard to act. Now he's back, we're both too sick to go for the next round...Isn't tis telling us that time is still not ripe? But i won't stop here. I tell myself i must try hard, both for myself and for my DS (he wants a companion).

Failures can be disheartening. But let's work towards success!

The last time i see her is before my soiui, suppose to do accu 5days before soiui but i only do 2times as i thot same as euyan sang.. 3times are enough.. If didnt do soiui, think one week twice before ur o period will do.. Am start seeing her this mth to tiao first since i am doing soiui next mth..oso hope that this mth's cycle will shorten to 30days and not like last mth 46days.. As i want start do iui soon..Ya, i think the point shd be the same.. Btw, i only try her accu twice so far..;) guess wht, me oso seeing her tomorrow for her accu.. Wht time u going? When is ur last af date? Maybe same as me?

I think ur thinking same as me.. I oso long wish to get ds a companion even if hv to do ivf *touchwood*.. Did u conceive ur ds naturally last time? How old is ur ds le?? My boy is already coming to 7yrs old this yr.. Am so sad to start do iui only this yr.. No matter wht, i hope to conceive by this yr as the gap will be 8yrs le so do not want to drag further.. Thot can conceive ds naturally so i shouldnt hv any problem so yr after yr keep waiting for it to happen but no result.. So am not going to try naturally anymore.. Will do whtever i can to help to conceive..Sadz.. Hope can conceive a healthy bb thruout 9mths soon.. Wish all of us luck to give our ds a companion soon..

come to tis stage, we will try all means to conceive. ya, i conceived my ds in my 1st month of attempt. Last time also blur blur, din even calculate O days, test tis or tat...Just struck like dat lor...Tat's Y i nrv tot conceiving the 2nd can be so problematic. Back then, i was even worried that "accidents" might occur. Now, how i wish such accidents will REALLY happen! How irony! My boy coming to 5 alreadi liao. i started trying since he turned two. I only decided on so-iui when i chanced upon this forum. How i wish i had started it much earlier. Lost so much time. Me too, dun wan such a big gap b/w siblings. Otherwise, they will have a communication gap.

Yup yup .. Me oso know abt soiui when i get to know this forum.. Which i end of last year and indeed i felt lost alot of time too.. Had oso been trying since son in 2yrs old.. How i wish time can go back.. I had oso try only 3mths and conceive my elder one.. Didnt know it will be so diffcult to conceive again..sigh..My son age gap will be minimum 8 yrs now since he is going to turn 7this yr december and i dun think hv enough time to give birth by this yr le..

Hi ladies... my hubby is willing to go for Semen Analysis and I do want to go for blood test and ultrasound scan as well... but i do have many many qns... hope someone out there can help me....

1) I have done papsmear test last year... erm, did ultrasound... is it the same kind of ultrasound?
2) I read thru some pages, only managed to get a gynae name Dr Chew. Any other good gynae that anyone can recommend? Can gynae check for my hubby too?? or not advisable?

(FEEDBACK: My hb & I saw Dr. Tan Lee Kee of Ying Chuan Chinese Medical Hall in Jurong East 4 yrs ago. We spent a few thousand dollars on her and a Gynae at Glenages recommended by her. We were told that I have PCOS and my hb sperms not good.

FEEDBACK: The two Chinese physicians are recommended to me by a Chinese physician(from China).
Both of the Chinese physicians are holding doctorate degree from renowned TCM University in China. Both of them had spent at least a year in China hospital for clinical experience.
Dr Tan Kian Sing is currently the head of infertity group in Singapore Chung Hwa Medical Institution. He is mainly solving male problem. There is another female Chinese physician who is the head of infertity group in solving the females problem. As I am not comfortable with a male physician, I choose Dr Tan Siew Buoy to solve my medical problem. She is the expert of solving female problem.
I hear a lot of things about some local Chinese phyiscan who is very unhappy if their patient tells them that they are doing IVF or IUI. Some local Chinese phyisican even feel offend if they know the couple going to see another Chinese phyisican.
Both Dr Tans are very open as they are aware that we are seeing two phyisican. Most of time we will ask them to write their TCM treatment so we can pass to the each other. This will help to provide the best treatment for both of us.
Both Dr Tans are aware that we are intending to do IUI or IVF. They advise us to receive TCM treatment for preparing for pregnancy. The womb must be ready for pregnancy. If your body is not in a good condition for pregnancy, there is no point of trying many cycle of IVF or IUI.
FEEDBACK: I have just tested positive last week. very happy indeed. I have been tcc for almost 3 years. No luck maybe because of my age (38). BASIC LESSON ON TTC

CD is Cycle Days, counted from 1st day of your AF (menses). If today is your CD19, it means it’s been 19 days since your AF came.

DPO is days past Ovulation. Usually we O about 12-14 days before the AF comes, this is called our luteal phase. For eg, if you have a regular cycle of 30days and your luteal phase is 14 days, then 30 minus 14, which is CD16, is the day you ovulated. This is why there is the term 2 Week Wait 2WW after your Ovulation Day. Cos if after 2WW, AF not here yet, higher chance of being tested BFP (Big Fat Positive).

The gals here usually use OPKs, BBT and monitor EWCM to help us gauge when we O.

OPKs - When tested positive by dipping the strip into our urine, this means we're gonna O in the next 24 hrs and as the egg only stays alive for 12-24 hrs, when OPK is tested positive, we usually BD consecutively for 3 days or at least, on alternate days. Each strip, bought from UK website, costs about 50cents.

BBT - We measure temp the FIRST thing we wake up with the morning. We need to try and maintain the same environmental conditions (aircon/fan) and take at the same time and sleep for a minimum of 7hrs and try to have uninterrupted sleep and not move about too much. Temp during AF is rather low, temp during ovulation will dip very low, and after O, it will increase. If temp stays high for 2 weeks, BFP is almost confirmed. If temp dips when it's your DPO12-14, AF is almost sure to come.

EWCM - Egg White Cervical Mucus. Try stretching the vaginal discharge using your fingertips nearing your O day. (no, it's not disgusting :p) If it can stretch for more than 3cm, you're most likely gonna O or is O-ing. This is nature's way of preparing our bodies to create a good environment for the spermies to swim better. If you need lubricants, only use preseed (can be bought from local pharmacies off the shelves) as it is sperm-friendly.

HSG: Some gals go for HSG to check if their tubes are blocked, causing the egg to be unable to come out and meet spermies. And for some gals whose tubes are a little blocked, the dye that flows through your tubes MIGHT help clear up the tubes a little.

Egg Scanning: At a cost of time and money and effort, you can opt for scanning of eggs to check if your egg is about to be released from your ovary as this process measures the size of your egg/s. At about 20mm (2cm), it would rupture, ready to meet the spermies.

TCM: Traditional Chinese Medicine. For some gals, their womb might be too cold, lining too thin, constitution too weak, etc. TCM helps to nourish our body, warm our womb, strengthen our health, making it easier, if not better for conceiving, via herbs (either pills/liquid/powder/brewed) and/or acupuncture.

SA Test: It is also recommended that your DH (Darling Hubby) goes for a Sperm Test to check if he has enough healthy sperms to meet your egg.

U are good leh... btw u are visiting Chee Seng Tong also? i was there for 3-4 months... apparently menses are pretty regular but not as regular as taking clomid. with wat u said... i m wondering if i should go back to TCM to tio my body...

I've personally seen the TCM Ban Choon Wah at Serangoon North. Not sure how come there was a negative feedback about him but I guess he muz have been too 'proud' of his achievements. He oso kept highlighting to me that he was prob the only TCM who places much emphasis and knows how to read BBT.

Anyway, the point of my post is juz to say that I've actually had 2 m/cs before seeing him. It was about 3-4mths after my 2nd M/C tat i decided to see him. After seeing him for 3 mths zhun zhun, I was preggy again. My son is already coming to 9mths now.

So i guess there's always both sides of the story. I cannot cfm if he did help me, but i guess to a certain extent, he prob did, esp mentally. (u noe ur body is stronger after taking TCM, so u tend to relax more)

Oh, he didn't request and I didn't give him any token each time after seeing him. juz paid for the medicine and left. kept telling hb.. if we are successful, should give him a token. up till now, nvr go back to see him le.. haha</font>

want to get some advice here..
i had passed my 2ww, my menses came 2 weeks back but this time the menses is veri short, only for 3 days and only have brownish and red blood.. i had cramps also as if for normal mense cycle..

right now after my menses end, i still feel naseous at times and back pain and shoulder pain...


i am puzzled what is happening to me..
i had also tested hpt but all came back negative...

can anyone give me some suggestions?
 
wana share my experience with Ban Choon Wah.
Saw him like 2mths/3mths plus but switch him off.
Felt he is not willing to listen to problems and always feel he is right.

my hubby is taking his med too and feedback its too heaty for him etc. Doc only commented, no wont,wont, u just take.And months after months, i repeatedly hear the same diagnosis. if your BBT drags further, you'll be preg.

the last straw came when he saw my bbt a particular month and keep saying ; so wasted you should have BD when and when.
the thing is, we have already past the dates, no BD, then how(hubby was on night shift)!!was pissed off that months after months not preggy, yet the doc make me feel so guilty with such comments.
i cried right after taking medicine. Sat alone at the bus stop, crying, feeling lousy, wondering when would my turn be etc.

hence end my relationship with him

u better go and see a doc. don't mean to scare you.. but might be ectopic.. the last time my doc asked me to look out for symptoms such as backache, cramps and nausea if my menses very light or never come.. just go for a blood test just in case..

oh, fixed an appt with Dr fong next Tuesday to discuss more on the video hysteroscopy as well what other options i have, chances etc.

meanwhile still faithfully going for my TCM, hubby too.

shall decide after the gynae visit.

how about u....hows things? following with your gyane or taking a break?

now waiting for menses to report and see how... read from the IVF thread that some of their treatments have been cancelled due to the H1N1 flu..
 
Sharon, TCM takes time.. it's not like you will effects once you take the med...

Gynae's med takes effect fast but with side effects.. so they are pretty different.

TCM is to "tiao" your body to prepare for the long run...

For those who had experienced failed so-iui, do you know if O will come earlier for the next cycle? i suspect I'm O-ing almost a wk in advance.

not sure, i am facing the same issue too.
lst two mths on iui, fail.2nd mth o came early.
this mth, not on anything, but on cd5, felt some twitchig pain and puling sensation. today as well, but not so intense. intend to test with opk to monitor.

you still have the kit? probably test around the same period as ure iui O timing?

i always feel the slight pulling sensation on my left side.when i was 19,i even did a ultrasound &amp; biopsy coz i tot something was wrong with me.doesn't matter which side i O,the sensation is always on the left,strange,hor?

sometimes,i'm worried it's menstrual cramps or PMS.the truth will be out after mother's day.i'm a lot more relaxed than b4 already.after encoutering failure so many times,i guess i'm getting used to it.i'm trying to keep my spirits high,think positive,but the fear is there.fear of disappointment.I will read into every symptoms i'm experiencing.fatigue:that's a sign of pregnancy! coz i was so dog tired for the 1st pregnancy. headache: sign of pregnancy &amp; not enough rest,coz the 1st pregnancy was also like that.guess i'm driving myself mad.

i keep feeling down whenever i read that girls who already have no.1 are trying for no.2.ceraine,u &amp; me don't even have no.1.we only had a taste of pregnancy,not motherhood.

fyi, last mth, i had headache for nearly two week. learned from nurse its after effect of clomid/puregon

my taste of pregnancy was really shortlifed and tremendous fear.probably i am not fated yet,but i believe a day, that day, will come.

Though we already hv no 1 but will feel very sad whenever i see my son so lonely playing and usually he will want us play with him.. So dun be upset even if u hasnt had no 1 yet.. I oso feel very sad of not giving my son a sibling.. Think most lucky one is those who can get pregnant easily and worry of conceiving each time they hv sex.. So envious these pp..;)
 
oh,is it? i didn't take clomid for 3 cycles already.but had Ovidrel to ensure proper ovulation.but i also always have headaches b4 period due.aiyoh,if it's a sign of pregnancy,i'm willingly to put up with the headaches for 9 mths!

until now,i still rem wat my cousin said to me after the stillbirth.she said,"one day,u'll have a baby of ur own."hopefully that one day will come soon.somehow,that statement gave me lots of hope.

wow, its a very impressive list... I also see TCM but its not in the list above. But he did stop my haywire AF cycle and 2 cycles later after seeing him, strike le. Duno whether does that mean he's good or not, he's a man of few words

Someone did tell me before (u know who u are :p) that it seems that most people she know have problems striking for no 1, but once delivered, no 2 comes easily within a few mths of trying, its as if having no 1 kinda healed the womb for no 2 to come... so stay positive, once u strike, no 2, 3, 4 will all come

May i know how many days you rest after ur iui before u go back to work again? Dun read too much into symptons and give urself so much stress.. U hv already try ur best in moving one step to do iui, the rest will up to heaven.. Hope he see our effort and give us one bb soon.. All the best and rest well..

i din test. But i was surprised to have lots of clear discharge on CD11, which was exactly the day i was supposed to undergo so-iui last month. So i diligently BD lor...i tink the side-effects drag into this cycle as well..headaches, nauseous, backaches etc, somewat similar to preg symptoms...

Would like to ask if anyone of u encounter such problem. Do you have clear discharge the next day after you BD? Is it true that eating clomid causes adominal pain? and is abdominal pain a sign that i am Oing?

I mc once before i had my no 1... from mc to no 1, it took me abt 6 cycles which were quite screwed up and needed the tcm help to strengthen my womb...

decided to take a break this month and not monitor anything except bbt, go for accup and take tcm med (still sound like quite a bit of work eh?)!

glad to have chanced upon comments abt the possibility of earlier O date (due to clomid). guess gotta watch out for the signs since no more opk to test.

right now, i'll be glad to just have #1. whether there would be anymore, i really don't mind already. anyway all of us have a common goal!

sorry i was not in time to reply to your msg. i was with dr zou on Mon at 2pm. did accup with her for the 1st time and the accup points are different from dr tan's (clementi tcm). the electric pulses are kinda stronger too. ouch.
getting used to her med that doesn't seem to dissolve completely and will go for accup sessions twice a week and 5 days consecutively b4 next month's iui.
