may mum,
many offer sweet potato, carrot, papaya as first foods. If one food intro is done slowly add leafy otherwise they wont like it and prefer sweeter type of veggies.
No need to feed rusks, finger foods etc., regularly. If you read labels carefully they say "No added Salt/ sugar" Doesnt mean it doesnt contain salt/ sugar. No sugar/ salt added is altogether diff. word.
Now manuf. becoming smarter if consumer is checking for ajinomoto they print as monosodium glucamate/ MSG. If consumers aware of it. They mention as natural identical flavours, perservative class (type) etc., Even though if label looks very clean to feed baby, we never know. I have jar foods for emergency/ go out only. Even go out I cannot pack porridge so I pack cereal. Its really IMPOSSIBLE to avoid ready made foods as even I feed her biscuit, bread but then regularly not good le. As said there are some useful sources for medical journals, research thesis etc., (authentic AAP also) read through relevant topics I understood that they will give you hint but not openly agree.
