so cute your boy crawl army style heehee. Maybe he's teething thats why woke up middle of nite. My gal woke up middle of nite too.. few times i woke up and found her flipped on her tummy looking around wanting to chit chat haha. But sometimes she will cry too. Then i'll give her milk and she'll fall asleep while drinking. But till now I still don't see any teeth coming out le..

My friend say use a clean handkerchief and gently rub my baby's gum to help the teeth come out. I dunno whether it works..but im going to try tonight. My baby refused milk totally. poor dear...kept crying the whole night and i almost lost my cool too.

Bad News! Gymboree finally replied me. They are not able to accommodate our request to shift the music class to nov as they have already blocked book the 10th and 11th oct class for us. So not able to shift the class. Sorry mummies tried my best to ask them to shift but they refused leh

tat's wat my PD advised... i oso puzzled when he told my hb today... tot aft 6 mths need to chg to next level as their iron intake will be more...
mayb my boi poo once a wk, tat's y he advised me stick to NAN Pro1 first till he's 1 yr old... coz NAN Pro1 similar to BM (easier to digest) while NAN Pro2 more towards cow milk...

ok i'll try that too. Don't worry too much, he will start drinking when he's really hungry. Maybe he feels uncomfortable and sleepy at the same time so no appetite to drink. He'll catch up with the milk intake soon. My gal doesn't want to drink milk when she's 3-4mths old. PD advised not to force and don't be upset cos will affect bb's mood too, just let it be till bb willing to drink when really hungry.

I'm using Dentinox for the gums (recommended by my GP). Can be bought off the rack from pharmacies.. I put in fridge n apply it cold onto the gums. My boy loves it, he will open his mouth the moment he sees me taking the tube of Dentinox.

Speaking of Cambodia, A's godpa went there for a voluntour. Saw this initiative to help cambodian women find work. They sew baby quilts for sale worldwide. Proceeds go towards their families, most of which are very poor and uneducated. He is thinking of importing them. Do you girls think there is a market for them? He bought one for A. I'll take a pic next week to show you girls if interested

.... ladies, pls send starflower some love and support. Poor fella was crying at my house earlier. She had a traumatising week with keenan having a prolonged, unexplained fever ... no dianogsis (sp?) but they did find an extremely rare and potent bug in his urine sample. This bug apparently is found mainly in patients in the ICU wards. Keenan is also suffering from mouth ulcers and sore throat as a result of the fever. The thing is, this whole incident coincided with Star's hubby's extremely busy time. to make it worse
rats she woke up liao. 10mins nap. wah lao.
to make it worse star's co-worker was on compassionate leave and star had to take over all the duties PLUS run up and down the doctor, dash for lab tests ... waiting waiting for results ... all the uncertainty etc etc is wearing her down. Poor girl was so upset that she broke down and teared when she came over to pick up toys earlier.

vernice, huh no I meant she got the ET LH in black/dark grey. DH good friend so he really wanted to go. If you are family member, it's min $1k. And nothing to wear!!! I just read the protocol for what to wear etc, stress. Need to wear formal suit, cannot wear certain colours.

hey, the quilt for baby is a good business i think as long as the quality is good & of course with the reasonable price. Baby's stuff is a BIG business so long the quality is good. I think all mummies don't mind to spend for the precious little one.

Maid - hi hi, i knw a maid who is good... not sure if have experience with babies though... she was looking after one of my patients (ah pek who is bed bound) for the past 4yrs... he jus passed away recently... she will be with the employer for 49days... have to carry out some rites? then after that i think will go back to agency... frm indonesia... i was actually keen to employ her myself but HB says no... -_-" Anyway, lemme knw if anyone keen, il sms the employer to check if she is still avail for transfer...

dear mummies, thanks so much for your support. it's been rough not knowing what's the cause and keep seeing him having fluctuating, 37-38.4. His appetite is still good, can poo but not very interested latching, so have been pumping/bottling. He's dropped from 7.9kg to 7.7kg since monday night when the fever started. We are now waiting for 2nd urine sample. Teething fever is ruled out as it normally is 2 days only. I dread monday's call from PD but at the same time, i must be prepared it's not a contaminated sample. The procedure is an injection of a very strong antibiotic which side effects include hurting the kidney and possibly stomach bleeding. i dont really know what to think anymore..... *mind blanking out*

I am at the KK hospital with Anver now, coz he still having fever this afternoon at 38degrees+. The doctor said normally after fever for 1 week should be admitted to hospital already. Now they are taking a series of test to check what is the causes. Blood test cleared already, now waiting for nose test and trying to collect his urine to test also. Strangely that his temperature now is 37.4 degrees which to the doctor and nurses are normal,but at home 37.7+degrees to 38+ degrees.
Till now still unsure of what causes the fluctuation of his fever.
Haiz.....hope he can discharge soon.

Kome - what do u use to measure temp? ear or forehead? sometimes have slight difference... hope all is well... its good... fever has gone on long enough... shld find out the real cause soon... take care!!! *hugs to anver and you from Kirs*
