Jelly,

I'm keen on shooshoos, but this is my first time ordering, and I've no inkling on the sizes. I've printed out the sizing chart and measured my kid's feet. But it doesn't tell me 4.5 inch is s, m, l or xl, or what size it is in uk or us. How to tell huh?

rains
If I remember correctly, size XL is for 18-24mths. It is best to get XL cos can wear a bit longer.

hi mommies,
Have a question about pre school - if we send our kids to school the year that they turn 3, won't they still be too young? I mean school year starts in jan so they have only just turned 2 in oct. Still thinking if i should delay one year in sending regina.

Shooshoos clearance: if ordering smileys, then it's more worth to get it at wholesale prices instead cos the shipping is about usd 7 per pair if you get direct from them which works out to be about usd27 per pair. At wholesale price it's sgd 30 per pair. No offence to jelly.

morning all. I did not manage to log in at all over the weekend 'cos the bookmark for the page is in the office.

Re Gap PJs, the horrid supplier MIA-ed on me for 3 days and I finally managed to reach her on the phone on Fri. She was not willing to throw in the additional pieces of the popular sizes 'cos we do have quite a few. Hence, for e.g. if for Bee, we have 4 requests of 2T, then I will need to order 4 BATCHES of this design, meaning all in all, I will be stuck with 4 x 7 pieces for this design.

For this reason, I do not think I am able to clear off all the pieces 'cos I am not even sure I have the time to post all the remaining loose pieces on the BP thread.

Hence mummies, I think we have to drop this since supplier is not willing to bend. So sorry. I wanted to let you ladies know ASAP so that you still have time to shop for the PJs.

Sigh... I am quite disappointed too 'cos I wanted some of the designs lor. Apologies again

I have the same concerns as you. So we may be sending Jo to school only when she officially turns 3. That means in 2012.

No problem

yawn! so sleepy today. yesterday rianne simply refused to latch on my left breast. don't know why. so had to wake up just to pump cause it was so full already.

mint,
i'm thinking of delaying too. thinking of sending rianne to playgroup first. and of course have to start getting her to drink formula first before i send her to preschool.

Reflections as a mother
Mummies, today I am supposed to do relief for a teacher whose class was HORRIBLE! They are in P6s, out of the 20 or so pupils, half of them are not interested in their studies. Several of them have NO respect for authority. They just act out as and when they feel like it. Acting like gangsters, etc. I talked to the teacher aide who was in class with me, and well, surprise, surprise, the parents don't give a ****. If it were me from the past, I would frown on the kids. But now, I looked upon these, and I pitied them. They're results of very very bad parenting. I was told that when calls were made to the parents, most of them didn't care. So what if the school provides counselling to the pupils, for 12 years of their lives, it was mostly moulded badly. How to remould? What can remould them? Naturally, they are not motivated to study. I really peifu the form teacher. I couldn't see how I could teach in such a disruptive classroom. It got to the point when the teacher aide had to separate the kids into two groups. One group was left to talk/play among themselves while she taught the other group who was more willing to study.

Let's be parents and be responsible for our children. I reckon these kids were neglected. Their mannerisms are so gangster-esque and their disrespect for authority - sigh.

I just want to go home and hug Jo.

yah (#&$^ forum down again.

on school

I was toying with idea of sending kate to sch next yr (2011 jan) cos it'd make it easier when kid #2 comes along sometime that year. guess it's a sooner or later thing, no time is a perfect time, sch entry wise.

yup my colleagues and I were just lamenting again abt the state of kids these days. and when our kids go to sch, likely to be influenced by brats like that... i believe that even in the so-called gd schools there are rebellious, give-attitude type kids just cos majority of parents concentrate on careers rather than spending time with kids drawing boundaries etc. so there is no escape in that sense. so bleak.

Karen,
I pity those kids too, but I kinda of agreed parents these days are too busy with work and hardly have time for kids. I am very gulity of this too! I tried my best to come back early everyday however this is not working. Hence only weekends are really with them.

I'm getting worried as my elder kid is now old enough (going to 4YO) and even will "lecture" when I reach home late.

dimpletot,
oic... Thurs I cant make it as there's a working lunch meeting. No worries, pls go ahead I will join another time. Thanks!

actually i love the softsoles! all the shoes i bough for rebby, my dad only loves the shooshoos softsoles on rebby... thus all her other shoes are like still BN bcos she seldom wears them...

am going to send rebby to pre-nur in 2011... my parents cannot educate her so i hv 2 let some1 else do it...

my son can only walk in soft sole cos it is light and he can lift or rather drag his feet... but i am amazed he wore out his shooshoos...2 holes in the front and the shoes are like 2 mths old? Gosh...

Ruffles, mspiggy

I can make Wed still! Let's make it on Wed, so mspiggy got no excuse gotta try and join us since we shifted it for her, muahahhaha!

i think smileys more useful for tods who have started walking for abt a month. cos esp when they walk outdoors, sharp things might poke through the soft soles.

or on bumpy ground they get the 脚底按摩 experience haha.

karen,
if you send jo in 2012, it means she'll join the n2 level right? But she'll still be the youngest if that's the case cos being year end baby. Unless skip n1 and n2 then straightaway go kindy.

Yeee.. I had such irritating class before. Had to take them music. On the last day of school i stepped out and said out loud good riddance! Ya like what you said lor.. Bad parenting. The kids were super rude, obnoxious... In short just plain irritants. That was my worst encounter ever in my whole teaching career. It was just so difficult to feel sorry for them when they drive you up the wall. Haiz!

Dimpletot,
