<font color="ff6000">apparently the last time the baby related incentives were announced, the incentives were backdated to the start of august! so we have hope, gals.

taking MM's comments as a hint, it's likely to include more paternity leave, and more subsidized/free childcare?</font>
 


yesterday i also ate three types of fruits. red apple, green apple and pear. for lunch.

then for dinner, rock melon and prunes.

whitepaper - serious?! My boss will faint when she hears the extended maternity leave thing!! Esp when I am gonna self-extend by clearing my leave consecutively too!!

I keep needing to burp to feel better these days. V uncomfortable.

i think dun have so good 6 months maternity... england also got 6 months though.
 
lilbluey - gd to keep yr boss in the loop so they can do resource planning. I already indicated to mine that I will take maternity leave upon delivery or when my doc advise me to, all the way till mid-Jan next yr.

Ladies - it will not be 6mths lah. Even if extend, it will be a 1-2 wks longer I reckon + paternity leave and some form of childcare subsidy?

For me, I alrd told my bosses that my EDD is ard 2-3 wks of Oct, might be earlier it depend. They asked me to take 3 mths in full so that they can arrange for a contract staff to come and help out. But I might go earlier becos I nd to clear my compliance leave as well so still in the midst of planning. :D was hoping to go back to work after CNY.

now paternity only got 3 days. maybe they'll make it one week. I oredi told my hubby to take 2 weeks off. so if they get one week maybe he can take 3 weeks! haha. but doubt his job will allow for that...
 
yah, got ask gynae he said can start from beginning on Oct lor.. so i apply from 2nd Oct for 9weeks 1st, lata see how on Dec.
She ask me to cum back on Dec as its busy period but i haven confirm the infant care yet.

tot of use all maternity leave plus annual leave till Jan then cum back de.

i'm also extending my leave until mid jan.. keeping my leave till then... even though lately my boss made some noise abt it!!! duh!!

really hope whatever is changing.. we'll get to benefit from it!! any days extra would be good news for us to spend more time with our newborn!!

I oso told DH to take 2 wks leave to help out in the initial stage, like your DH his work oso doesn't permit him to go on long leave! hmmmm....

paternity leave got 3 days, supposed to take when your wife gives birth.

childcare leave is separate i think, each person (dad and mum) got 5 days each (i think - not too sure abt the days - experienced working mums can comment?).
