Ladies, is really a bad sign on my fall this morning. Just now, my boss suddenly skype me and asked how long i intend to BF. Straight away i knew cham liao. I told her at least 6mths. U know wat?! She say then i'll need to 'pay back'. My gosh! Cmon, everyday i came to work at 7am, sometimes even before 7am (my official work time is 8am), shldnt it be enough if she wanna 'pay back'?
Now mood totally spoilt liao!</font>

Veniz, one motivation factor for me to BF oso coz i know this company is pro family and even had lactation room w facilities. But i nvr nvr think tat my boss will asked this lor. Even before i delivered, i oredy so-called annoucing to her i'm goin to try BF when we were chit-chatting. When i'm bak, i told her my BF schedule so tat she know where am i. She didnt said anything when i told her tat, only today she suddenly mentioned this pay back thing.
Moreover my each pump session only limit to 15mins, then plus washing the most is 20-25mins. Twice a day.
Thinking back, i'm really silly lor, tot tat i take the initiative to come in early to work can 'compensate' but ppl just dont appreciate it. *sigh*</font>

I was thinking maybe the work/ project she lined up for me before my ML cannot proceed coz my collegue left. She's trying to squeze more workload for me.
1st Oct got gathering har? Shall see if my hubby can bring me there. (coz hubby is working nite shift.) Thinking to bring #2 but sure #1 want to follow. If hubby cannot make it, high chance i cannot join oso, not able to handle 2 kids.</font>

My 2 cts worth of advise. You should officially inform ur sup that you come in 1 hr earlier is to 'compensate' the time lost in pumping. Perhaps ur sup was being questioned by others if u are taking advantage of the lactation time.
I bf my son for 13 mths. I told my sup tat i would come in earlier every day, have half hr lunch only, but will 'disappear' to pump milk twice per day. I even told her if she was uncomfortable with the arrangement, I will claim my leave and convert it into timeoffs for the pumping sessions. Of course my sup wont ask me to take leave. She will be in trouble if HR knows I take leave just to pump milk. Pro-family leh.. so I express without guilt. Gradually, I extended my pump fr every 4 hrs to 6 hrs and only need to pump once in office. Tats when he started on solids and I don hv to store too much milk for him.

I had the same thinking as you. Thats why before ML i already told my boss. Then as for collegue , i oso inform them.
And our dept ppl jolly well know i always came in early to work, but of course i din mentioned is to 'compensate' the time lost in pumping lah.
In fact the ppl in our dept always came in late to work, just dont understand why this 'pay back' thing only happen to me. Maybe 'compensate' must be in term of goin back late but coming early dont count?

I also come in early to 'compensate' for the lost time due to pumping too. I used to come on time or a bit late. Also, bec now less time to do work and sometimes cannot finish work, i try to come earlier to complete work. however, my manager see me go off work on time, she tot i am very 'eng', until i explain to her tat i have to go off on time bec' i need to fetch my bb.
hope tat u are ok, read tat u have a fall carrying the medela pis backpack. it is indeed heavy
maybe u want to consider to be like, just carry on Monday to office and back to home on friday, then the rest of the days just carry parts and bottles?

btw my ger start to teething liao last week cos me saw a white white thing on her lower gum so me touch and true enough tats her 1st tooth. So fast hor now she is only 3.5mths but she is drinking more 140ml every 3hrs. She also enjoy her own drumstick (fingers) and suck like nobody so nice until got sound somemore and nowasday she enjoy talking also. Flipping over also.
