for making FM, put water first, then milk powder.

For example, need to make 180 ml of milk plus 3 scoopes of milk powder. Add 180ml of luke warm water, then add milk powder. The final product will exceed 180 ml as the volume includes the formula which is ok.







There is instructions printed the the tin. Can follow the instruction.

may i know what's the termperature set ? Best at 25 and 26 o C, and don't let the air con blows directly at the baby.

enfalac quite rich, easy to cause constipation, so after that I changed to Friso which the milk is more watery, closer to BM in terms of solubility.

according to PD, seafood best given after 2 years old, ecpecially if the child has allergy or sensitive skin problem.

For thaw milk, if I am giving it tomorrow, I will bring down from freezer in the afternoon.

Hi Felicia, MLP, my baby also had stuffy nose last nite from 2am to 5.30am.
I couldn't get the the mucus out with the nose aspirator, so end up with a fussy baby the whole nite. He kept asking to nurse, guess it was for comfort suckling. Think the stuffy nose is because of the air con/dust. I dont think he is sick as he does not get stuffy nose in the day when it is warmer.
The past 2 days, I had been able to get the mucus out with the nose aspirator and it was really a big chunk.

Felicia, yeah, not easy and my baby dont like it too. But once out, he slept for whole 3-4 hours after I get the mucus out 2 days ago. Normally, he just wakes up after 2 hours, like a alarm clock. I read from baby center that some ppl used saline drops before sucking out the mucus. Dunno whether we can do that with babies below 1 month?
 
Hi Sarahteddy, my aircon is set at 25 to 26 degree celsius and it's not blowing direct at bb...

FOr the nose aspirator, we can just buy it off the shelf or must get from PD? How to use? I cannot see any visible mucus fm bb's nostrils lei. If visit PD, will PD help to suck out the mucus?
 
my boy oso slps in aircon rm.. i set at 26 or 27.. he will have mucus too.. every few days suck out for him.. i dunno issit norm.. seems like many of u here experience tat..

for FM making.. put water 1st den powder..
say 90ml - u will put 90ml of water den powder and the drinking amount will be 100ml.. so if say u putting hot water to 40ml mix powder.. make sure u top up the bottle to 100ml if not the milk will be thicker..

the sound hor, my ger also hv, its due to her nose hv some bi shi leh...heng she managed to sneeze out slowly lor..so now better liao...Maybe u see if there is anythng in ur boy's nose..

Hey mummies,

do you bring yr baby out after yr confinement?

I heard pple say must bring them out so that they'll not be afraid next time and will not be "mountain tortoise" (dunno how true lah). Also they'll start to recognize places they've been too.

Had been gg out with baby via bus, MRT and taxi to in-law's hse and shopping centres. Usually go out before peak time and come back abt 9pm at night.

Yup, brought my bb to my mum's hse in taxi,brought her to NTUC b4, thurs going to bring her go shopping too...she loves it but most of e time sleeping..

My bb also have a lot of muclus, his aircon is 28 or 29 degrees.

I dunno wat to use to suck the muclus out, need to get anything from PD?

Just check with PD, wanted to take the 6-in-1 jab this week but PD recommend take at 3rd month then this week only take Heb B jab.

BB rash - my bb rash cease once i stop eating confinement food. tink it too heaty for my bm.

Woah, didn't know the blocked nose thing is so common in babies. But for my boy, I can't see the mucus. Are u all able to see it from outside the nostrils?

Previously, got some dry mucus and she sneezed it out. this time round, I don see that.

so ve u been trying out the massage at hm? so far i oni did it on her twice n not even full sets. think mine also sensitive to the avent oil cos rashes started appearing on her forehead tat nite &amp; i quickly use warm water to wipe, now the redness gone oready but spots still there...</font>
 
my gal also have stuffy nose with thick mucus... i manage to use cotton butt to dig it out... after taking it out, when she drink milk will not make so much noise... hee
 
Hi mummies here,

I'm so worried about my loose stool that I went back to my gynae whom gave me jab to stop my diarhoea. My loose stool comes about 4 to 5 times in the night, very watery and dark brown colour. Do anyone pass out so much stool? My stool will be accompanied by lots of gassy sound from my tummy... lots of wind... is this normal? No pain though....really scary...tot I'll be dehydrated if this is to be continued....

I have been religiously drinking green papaya with Fish bones soup till yesterday. Today didn't take coz went to MIL hse. I am now very headache with what to do with my gal, always want to be carried. Can't even let her lay down by herself for 5mins when she is awake. Haiz.

Crystal, babies will grow out of their baby looks, I am sure Gwen will also. I find Gwen looks more like your hb, that's y she looks boyish now. Mine gal also very boyish look now and mil keep saying that she will grow up look more like her gor gor. Not that I mind about her looking like my #1 but when her friends commented my gal looks a bit like me, she kept saying rubbish, she looks more like my hb and #1. Just let her get all the frame and glory lar.

Priscilla, I thought no CL around its more tough? For my case it is lor. Haiz, esp when galgal wants to be carried around and I cant do things. I have not been having proper meals yesterday as not much time to prepare, scare MS will decrease.

my bb muclus i can't see it, but can hear the block nose sound whenever he sleep or drink milk.

My CL not with mi from yesterday and have been taking care of baby myself lor... she got fussy period from 6pm till 11pm... she jus refuse to sleep and have to carry around...

yesterday after carrying baby got backache liao... jia lat dunno how... today also the same..
 
Pris, haiz, how, if baby wants to be carried this way? Although I have 2 children, I still dunno how to make her lay down, guai guai.

I wanna get a nursing tank - bought from them before for my #1, i find their bras very comfy !!

Fenugreek : personally, i didnt find this very useful, i took the prescribed dosage and i started to smell like mapel syrup

tt's one of the side effects.

to increase milk supply naturally : try taking oats and black sesame - i drank quaker oats when i was nursing my #1, as well as the black sesame desert, and it worked for me !

Hi all the breastfeeding mummies,
wanna share what type of chinese herbs did you avoid while breastfeeding during your confinement?
My cl told me cannot take tang gui cos it will reduce milk supply and my sis told me cannot take ginseng while breastfeeding....anyone know of other herbs not to be taken while breastfeed?
how about alcohol?..how do you all take such food while still breastfeeding?
