Kris

My hb has been to etonhouse due to some work thing, and he is v impressed. I tink it is also v good, but is v costly. so me and my hb won't be going to etonhouse. also i tink a lot of expats send their kids there.

roxy

if buy from spree, the shipping can be v costly. and hard to collect from spree organiser?

Ellysia, Thats wat my SIL say. She say they hv water, sand play... Very creative. But I think the fee is crazy. I called them last week. They mention 8 kids form a class.. Some ppl tells me that if too little kids in the class next time when they go primary class with so many kids, they might hv problem getting use to it.

Sharing my personal experience.

Mummies bringing out BBs...
Before going out, try to make sure BBs;
1. Have enough sleep
2. Not close to milk/mealtime
3. Not close to poo poo time/days
4. Are in comfortable clothes, not be too warm/cold
(If one of the above don't meet, forget the trip, else this will be your 1st & last one)

By public transport;
1. Bring a light stroller
2. A sling/carrier

Drive on your own;
1. Play BB's fav music
2. Some safe & hands on toys if possible
3. Your fav stroller, sling/carrier as back-up (shopping use?

)

as long as BB is;

Last weekend,
our family were at the Singapore Expo.
Once we reached, I asked hubby to CHOING to the Harvey Norman warehouse sale to get his "limited to 1st 50 sets only" printer.

I carry Cornelius in my sarong sling,
hold Athena & Besper, one left & one right.
As we were walking... Besper speaks my "Oh NO!" words...
"Mummy I want to pass urine"
Ladies toilet full-house, handicapped toilet occupied.
Thickskin me asked a young couple to help,
ask the guy to bring my boy to the men's toilet.

Ta da!!!
So ladies,
there's lots of mummies on the road,
if you need help, just ask, many will help.

Jia You, Jia You.

Kriss,
it is really possible,
just need to try the 1st step.
Try going to nearby malls for a start.

But bear in mind,
once your BB loves to go out like ours,
they'll bang on the main door, take out your shoes to tell you,
"I WANNA GO OUT Gai Gai!!!" hehehe...

8.30am - reach my parent's home, bath him & play
9.30am - latch on Cornelius
10am - on our way to JB, on the way he sleeps
11am - mummy eat brunch then shopping

LengLeng,
I always bring my son out, so much that even when one of us leave the room he'll cry and wan to follow. Just that I nv bring him out alone, always arrange someone to go with me. Cause he is like a worm, cannot sit still. So if i wan to buy something, I can;t even take my wallet out. hehe..

<font color="808080"><font face="tahoma">Leng2,
Thanks for your list &amp; encourages me to perserve on breastfeeding, although i was thinking if I should stop, as recently, got bitten few times now that Jared has 4 teeth, he didnt do it on purpose, but sometimes when there's distractions while he was latched on, he will pull out &amp; that hurts, etc, really thankful that i saw your list &amp; i want to stay free from bringing so many barang when out with him for as long as possible</font></font>

Leng Leng,
Don't cornelius take porridge or creal?
Everytime I got make sure Lucas finish his meal before going out or rush back to eat. Else he'll make everyone look at me by shouting and screaming (Cuase he don wan to drink milk or eat).

Kris,
active BBs are healthy BBs,
give them your keys when you take out your wallet.
happy.gif

Fennie,
yeah yeah, that's why I wanna continue to BF too.
happy.gif

Use Mag's method, press your boobs against his face,
he'll stop the bite.
happy.gif

Kris,
he's ok with or without food,
his main addiction is BreastMilk... hehe...
I'll feed him when we're at home.

Last month when we went Cameron Highlands for 5 days,
he only takes grains of white rice from my bowl... hehehe...
Other than that, Breastmilk &amp; strawberries!

<font color="808080"><font face="tahoma">Kris,
I call my Jared a snake, he never sit still, when carried, he will wriggled, and very quickly, i had to put him down on the floor, and then he will want me to carry, but when carried, he wants to move away, i dont know what to do with him.

I am rarely out alone with him, as I am worried if i need to go to the toilet, then don't know how. So if i need to be with him alone, like hubby drop us off some where, then i must relieve myself before my hb leaves us, and usually i will carry him in my pupsik, cos i find it easier to move around, although he is about 9.5kg now, sometimes it can be very aching if carried him for too many hours

Now when he sees me carrying my bag, i think he knows that i am going out, when i put on my pupsik, he will be very excited, and when i opened the door &amp; leave without him, he will cry</font></font>

Tera,
that's what we're here for,
encourage one another,
MUMMIES UNITED!.
happy.gif

Fennie,
maybe he wants to go somewhere,
&amp; wants you to carry him there! hehe...
If you are walking, does he wriggle too?
Train him to sit in stroller, else no go out,
then can push the stroller into the handicapped toilet to relieve yourself.
happy.gif

Tera,
he loves to squeeze &amp; mash the strawberry between this fingers,
then eat the mashy ones... *so gross yet so cute* hahaha

LengLeng,
He's co cute!

Fennie,
I went to Japan last month. I was so amaze with the Japanese. In the woman's toilet there is a baby chair in a corner of each cubical. Isn't that so thoughful. I think S'pore should do that.

Leng Leng,
haha, sounds cute from your description!
happy.gif

Kris,
wow, that is very toughtful. I heard from my Jap coll that the baby rooms in the shopping centers in Japan are very well-equipped (eg free diapers etc).

Leng Leng,

i bf but i didn't bring any extra clothes out usually. Just find bf room.

Usually me and hb go out dun carry many things. just carry diapers n wet wipes.

My boy maybe neutral to bm or solids bah. as long as is filling to him.

Fennie,

when i wear outside clothes and he see me leave w/o him, he will crawl towards me and cry also.

U can pinch his nose hard when he bite. must pre-emp. after a few times will know when he is going to bite. my boy always bite me esp when he teething.

<font color="808080"><font face="tahoma">Leng2,
Hey!i never thought of going into the handicapped toilet, there's another problem, i super afraid of using the escalator with the stroller, have you heard of anyone who fell down from the escalator, here it is, my 1st time using the escalator with my mum when i was about 13yrs old, and both of us fell while on the escalator, but later on learned how to use it, i know its very funny, pleasse dont laugh out loud!.

When i carried him in the pupsik, he is usually very quiet &amp; may fall asleep if I am walking, but if i am just standing, he will wriggled until i have to keep adjusting the pouch to hold him properly, so that he will not slipped out of it</font></font>

Fennie,
use the passenger or goods lift.
happy.gif

He loves to go out &amp; walk walk lah...
That's why wiggle, cause you stopped.
happy.gif

Try engaging him in your "shopping",
show him things, colours,
before he puts them into his mouth,
give him another &amp; "exchange",
keep changing.
happy.gif

Ellysia,
I scared puke, poo poo leak out,
dirtied by food lor.
happy.gif

it's something good to have.

Ear phone! cool...
happy.gif

<font color="808080"><font face="tahoma">Kris,
Ya, Japan is so advance, wonder if SG will do the same

Ellysia,
Have you noticed babies these days are getting smarter &amp; smarter as compared to our own time, my mum told me we would just sit around &amp; play by ourselves, and she has time to do things, and not like ours, need so much attention

Leng2,
I will try, thanks for the tips of the day, yes, i think he loves to go out, because most of the time, he is at home, so when you say "gai gai", he will let whoever wants to carry him to bring him go gai gai</font></font>

Leng leng,

while u r here.. can ask u when we can teach bb to feed themselves during meal times?

Fennie,

Ya lor.. but anyway my boy from birth is ored v hard to take care one. v attention seeking. Even my mum and my MIL also agreed.

Fennie,
u r most welcome.
happy.gif

ellysia,
look out for Qs from your BB,
they'll usually start with self-feeding biscuits.
happy.gif

Be ready for a HUGH MESS when they just start to self-feed.

<font color="aa00aa">Bizznow,

I dont think i'll be able to join the birthday bash as my #1 is down with some nose infection and now spread to her eyes. As not to coz any prob to all the babies there, i'll pull out. (i'm not sure how fast she'll recover but as just a week, is better to play safe)
However, i'll still make the funds transfer to you if there's no more chances from oth mummies.
