Twiggy: Guess you & Joseph won't be joining us then?

Poochi: I wanted to get from AiMummy too! But delay and delay cos my hubby was undecided then now orders full so I had no choice but to go to PG.

Next year, I'm going to target to bake my own cake! ha! =)

Will post Ethan's meal schedule later cos I'm knocking off from work now.

Ueno: Leroy has so much variety in his meals! Me and hubby are paranoid about what we introduce to Ethan. =P

i bought the weight watchers fresh minced beef. sometimes i will buy beef n mince it myself so that i can wash it properly. my MIL has a machine to do it. I give beef with pasta so i will cook the beef separately. i boil it 1st then set aside, when my sauce is ready, i will stir in the beef for a few minutes

i mixed it in his muesli/rolled oats. Then i give him that as a drink in mid afternoon. he doesnt take alot as he is still trying to get used to the taste but he doesnt reject it like FM so i am happy. Yes, im using GF since birth.
 
catherine, ashlee usu have dinner bet 5-7pm. My hubby told me they gave her cereal at 5.30pm today so I asked him to feed her bottle food (small jar) at 7.30pm. She slept at 8.30pm. Tho she managed to nap 3 times today, total abt 3 hrs only. Tomorrow my grandma will cook porridge for her dinner.

I'm following the GF routine since he was 6 mths old. I also copy some of the recipes in her book which is very useful. But for 3rd stage weaning (9-12 mths) she doesnt give timing and quantity to feed anymore. So i guess it varies depending on the baby's appetite.

According to the Gina Ford book, she mentioned that babies should learn to drink all their milk only from beakers and not bottles by the time they are one. Anyone tried that? Where to find beakers???? The last time i used beaker was in science class.

i think what GF meant is to drink milk from a sippy cup or anything else but bottle. I am training L to drink from a cup directly now. Experimenting with water now, alot of it will get onto the shirt. hehe..

Poissons, wow that is such a bad experience. For me i will be baking the cupcakes for Mischa's bday. Finlly plucked up the courage to do it. But i have ordered a main cake for the cake cutting. dun wan to commit myself doing that. i think i wont be able to cope cos I m the entire party planner!

talking about meals, i only feed kaira 2 meals (lunch/dinner). and she has 4 milk feeds
6am abt 170ml
9 am abt 120ml
3pm abt 200 ml
9pm abt 200 ml.

haven't introduced "breakfast" to her yet.... cos dunno what to give her ... so, thanks ueno, for your "list" ... heehee

if introduce her to brekfast, then think i can drop the 9am feed ....

lunch and dinner usually porridge or pasta with veg & fish. one of her favorite dish is egg yolk omelette (with cheddar cheese & sometimes i put spinach or capsicum).

for her rite, she doesn't like her veg/fish mixed in her porridge, so i usually steam them separately and feed her one mouth porridge, one mouth the veg/fish.. i tried to put everything into her porridge initially and she always give me the yucks face!!!

poochi, saw your gratin recipe...going to try it for ms kaira also...hehehe

i think i'm almost like ur lor... hvn't quite introduce bfast to my girl yet leh... only tried giving her some munchies like biscuits and bread, little quantity only...
she will have porridge ard 10+am, then cereal at ard 4+pm... is that too little solids ah?

ash dun have a fixed timing for her dinner? shall we get the infantcare to cook dinner? 3hrs nap & sleep at 830pm is quite good! if she wakes up at 7am, tat's 13.5hrs of sleep. Jovan sleeps at 830pm but his daytime nap (at infantcare) is only ard 2hrs. when he's at home, he can sleep much better. almost 3hrs.

travis dun need to be rocked/carried to sleep? Jovan still need to! dunno how to kick this bad habit. nowadays i try not to rock him to sleep. but my HB always wanna rock him!

so now there are 3 preggie mummies here - pig, cindy & kittybride. really kudos to the 3 of u. i cant imagine Jovan#2 in my house. i think i'll became full-time zombie mummy coz they'll wake up at different times at night! oh yah, long time neber hear from pig, dunno how she is. Michviv, my hubby got it from the party supplies shop at Bugis. The rental is for 3 days, so we got it one day b4 her party and return it one day after her party. The helium is $50 but u hv to pass a cash deposit of $200 (refundable)

cat:: at night, we try not to carry him to bed. haha so for about 2 months now, he falls asleep on his own ON our bed first, then we move him back to his bed. so usually he zzz at 9 to around 3 to 4am, then he will get up, and call out to us, then we move him back to our bed till next morning 7am. HAHAH!! and ya. see, last night, he zzz after taking only 40mL! Wasting MILK and my MONEY!! wa laos!
haha i can't imagine travis #2 too. Sticks like glue, doesn't want his dad.. ahha! terrible. So i'm hoping this one is a girl, so dad can know the feeling of something sticky sticking onto him. haha!! When i last scanned, at 18wks now, gynae say looks like girl but he dare not confirm. so WE WAIT again, but either way, i take it that it's girl hahaha!!!

Dreamer, thanks for ur comments! I think the kids really enjoy themselves! Coz once after cake cutting ceremony, we distributed the balloons!!

HEhe, i very bad... the day b4 her party, i told my hubby that the latex balloons can be distributed during the party but the foil ones can only be distributed after i say ok. And the rabbits on the cake are NOT to be given away to anyone including his nieces & nephews. I told him, i will voice out if anyone tries to take the rabbits!

Evil hor! But no choice coz later my MIL will distribute away... then I LL liao.... Haha

For brekkie I started givin her pancakes and bread wif cheese (jus cut to very small bite size) she can self feed and u can eat wif her. But mayb u can start wif oats & fruits. I actually grind the oats b/fhand and wen wan to use mix it wif hot milk. If kaira like yorghurt can also give dat. My mom says my bb very westernised ha ha eat all the west food!

hopefully when i pop, chloe can walk and communicate better instead of just babbling/screaming her ways...

ya, same same here... we let her sleep in our bed then transfer her to babycot. then after the midnite or early mrng feed, she will 'insist' to sleep between us in our bed liao... very sticky.

i have to 'siam' her everytime she wana doze of coz will keep turning n tossing, then slap her arms (usually target at me and not her daddy!) or slam/hit her legs way out to both directions... very chor lor lah my gal... buay tahan... i scared one day she might even 'kick' her little sibling! ahaha...

Haha, thanks for telling me what a beaker is! hehe.....at first I thought like those used in chemistry class. :p Joseph sometime chokes when he drinks from sippy cup. So I only let him drink water from that. Hmm... maybe i should let him try milk from that instead.

Congrats on your no 2 on the way!! It's great, so now the two will have very close age gap, can play very well together. I want also!!!

I put in raisins, time out, some Japanese snack, one balloon, 2 pencils &amp; 2 party favours(got from spree) in the goodies bag. My colleague commented that i put in alot of things!

Cindy &amp; Kitty, now i know y ur babies more sticky! Coz both of u are PREGNANT!!!! Fighting for attention!

Ok, time to share on Ethan's eating habits.

7.30am: 250ml of milk + half portion of fruits + 2 spoons of cereal
Around 8.30-9am: Zzzzz time (Usually 1-2 hrs)
11am: 1 bowl Brown Rice Porridge + chicken/fish + 2 veges (baby spinach/beans/asparagus/pumpkin/carrot)&amp; 150ml of milk
2pm: 1 bowl fresh fruit + 2 spoons of cereal (mixed) + 150ml of milk
5pm: 1 bowl Brown Rice Porridge + chicken/fish + 2 veges (baby spinach/beans/asparagus/pumpkin/carrot)&amp; 150ml of milk
8pm: 280ml of milk

Me &amp; hubby try as best as possible to buy organic food for him unless its super expensive then we will buy normal foods. So my boy gets a mixture. As for meat, I only give him Kampung/Sakura Chicken and cod/threadfin for fish.

He also gets biscuit snacks or his baby potato chips in between with water. My boy has tried nearly every fruit on the planet! To date, he only dislikes 2 foods - tomatoes and yogurt.

thanks for the cooking tip. my boy dun really like pasta, he's like his dad, prefers rice and porridge. the last time i cooked the organic star pasta, he pwee pwee all the way, i was so upset

cindy, no la not compulsory to switch to beaker it all depends on ur child. For me my girl is still mastering sipping fr the mag mag ,she sometime sip too much and will spit it out! And she'll start swinging the cup like she's watering plants.. cant imagine if its milk!
