I tried feeding him 120ml, but he could only finish at most 100ml or sometimes 90ml than I have to discard the rest away.. waste my BM, so sim tia. I thought FM should be quite filling and I tried giving him 100ml of FM for his last feed around 10pm, but he only managed to finish about 60ml of the FM and than he will wake up again at 12pm for next feed. I have come to a conclusion that he prefers to have more feeds but each feed drink very little.

Juz now Nic pooed sooooo much dat kena his pants n top. luckily, now i let him sleep on our bed with cloth napkin under him. juz hv to change the napkin not the whole bedsheet.
Then while i was busying cooking, he cried soooo hard till i go to him n carry him. by then got big big tears on his face n he gave me dat "wat took u sooo long" kind of stare. kekeke

i have a side by side fridge and my freezer almost empty with a few box of ice-cream only. already it's out of space. i think cos i store the ebm standing up, so they are like little flat side balls! just started freezing the first bag flat, hopefully will take up less room once i rotate out all the frozen once with new bags.

ytanhn, u rented the bumbo seat sooo early? i hv one 1 at hm too but it says on the box to start from 4mths onwards leh. now still too early coz their spine n neck not strong enough.

same same...eversince my jaelynn comes along, i hardly had time to bring her go walk walk. i tell my husband when bb is about 6 mths old, we can start to bring both of them to park..i love to bring pebbles to botanical gardens..simply nice.

Still dunno wat time to pump when back to work. coz i want to pump only 3x that means around 6+ am, 2+pm, and 10+pm. But my lunch time ends at 2 ler.. phaiseh with my boss if after lunch time i go pump..
My office do not have any special room ler, dunno where i should pump, maybe in the handicap toilet..

yeah, i'm quite scared leh. but just tell myself die die also must handle, so take whatever comes my way. at most me and baby cry for a while then pull ourselves tog until daddy comes home. i told hubby one day he'll come home and find me and his daughter sitting at the door waiting for him. i'll need him to take over and my girl needs him to get away from me too. haahaa

i love bags, create a big storage problem. i was using a coach baby bag that hubby bought for me for my bday, but getting heart pain for using it day to day. needed to get a huge bag as i have a lot of barang to carry when i bring baby out, some times must bring a container and a thermo for warming up the ebm. are you familiar with the pet shop bags? i like the cute dogs and cats, big sucker for them.
i notice the fridge to go guy is married so maybe he has daddy's experiences.

still in KL but may head back to singapore early since hubby's reservist ended prematurely..
would b nice to be back with our lil family (hubby misses us really badly!) but my mum very reluctant to let her grandson go back so fast!
bad news tho, little yeeheng has eczema! sigh....his skin got drier and redder...wasn't sure what it was, and dr here in KL confirmed its eczema..now i have to avoid all dairy products as i'm BF fully....poor little thing...am already using hydrocortisone(steroid) cream on him...so heart pain, tho i know its supposed to b quite common...sigh

I went to IMM bought the mini fridge, they have red and blue.. not bad.. the shop also sells those clay to print our child's hand or footprint. I bought one, once it's done I'll post it here
THe shop also sells (only 8 packs left) the avent's milk bag. but avent dont produce this anymore, so they only have those left.. downside is, it doesnt have zip lock, upside is, it's only $16 ish for 100 pcs

ya, i want to travel first before we really settle down with kids, so for the 8 yrs, we travel every for 2.5 weeks to places that we like to go. so finally we decided to settle down and create new life..and that's how jaelynn was created.

these are teh 2 things i cant live without haaa...my husband always complain i got too much of these..and jete i envy u to have the coach bb bag. was thinking abt it then i made myself say that i cant be such a nice bad n be diaper bag..haaa.. n i everytime go to coach website n take a peek at it. last yr when i was in US, i went to the fac outlet and bring back 6 coach bags (4 for my colleagues) haaa..it was so much fun..
i think we will hv to wait a while before we can travel far again.
hmm my ofc is quite good, there is a nursing room. inside there is an armchair, a fridge and a basin..my company quite pro family one..so i dun think that's an issue. i just thinking how many times i want to pump..i was thinking twice, one at 11 am and one at 3 pm. think i better start next week..to try pump at these times to let my booby get used. i starting work in 3 weeks time...
i still got some red dates..maybe i cook tonight to have some tomolo

Both my furkids will sniff sniff for the first few days, than subsequently they want to lick him! But I don't let them cos Jerome still young. Maybe when jerome completes his 6in1 jab than I let them mingle around.

TMC is offering for 2 sessions on Sat, I think is 1.5hr each session and the fees is $98 (somewhere around there, but less than $100). The next class is 3rd Nov, but they have not yet given me the timing. Let's all go for the massage class together, it should be fun seeing our little ones enjoying the "rub rub" from us.

I used to give leftovers to my dogs, but they are getting real fat, so I have to cut down on giving them milk. Where is ur office? Mine is near Lau Pa Sau area. U shld try to pump during lunch time in meeting room cos this timing usually there will be an interval which is free. Last time, in my ex-company, i also pump in meeting rm, everyday hoping no one use. If got pple, then, i actually pump in store room.
My new company had a meeting rm for nursing between 1-2pm and another in HR with a proper nursing room with tap. Intend to pump at:-
1) 8am - in meeting rm before work,
2) 1pm - in the HR nursing rm during lunch time,
3) 6:30pm - in meeting rm after work if i stay late. Or else, i will pump when i reach home.
4) 11pm/12mn - At home
Ideally, am trying to increase my pumping from 3 times to 4 times a day. Currently i pump at 10am, 5pm and 11pm.... But i cant pump at this timing leh...

Didnt look at the cots, but I did see some people looking at a white oneif I happen to pop by tomorrow will let u know. Current storewide sale has been extended till the 21 of Octthey keep extending it every week.
Cosco sells everything. Everytime I pop by LA, Ill make a trip to Cosco around lunch time, so I have a full lunch just by sampling everything, then fill a huge trolley with all sorts of nonsenseI think my in-laws bought the latest batch of Playtex from Target though
Playtex: Storage system as in the One-Step, i.e., with breast pump adapter, caps and liner ring? Yes, Ive used the first about 2 times, just for the fun of it. Most of the time my Medela bottles are enough for storing my BM. The latter 2 I use all the time, not for BM, but to make batches of FM to chill in the Medela cooler bag, as the cooler bag is too short for me to put in the whole Playtex nurser with teats and cap, so must use the One-Step cap. This way, in the middle of the night, I just warm up either FM or BM to feed baby, no need to count out scoops of FM powder, mix and cool down really one-step way, ha! Ha! Personally, I think its a better system than using milk bags for storing EBM, as it eliminates the need to wash bottles.
As for nipples, youre referring to Playtex or Medela? I didnt think that Playtex teats could fit into Medela bottles because theyre so hugeThis weekend Im going to place order for 1 box of One-Step and a few sets of Variable Flow Naturalatch teats, as I think my baby is ready for medium flow teats already, and I only have the slow flow ones which came with nurser set. My baby uses 3 types of teats: Playtex and Avent Silicon (the former is softer, but seems to make no diff to him) and the NUK latex 2 (with the Medela bottles). So far okay. Only problem with having so many different types of bottles is that when its time to upgrade the teats to the next flow level, you have to go round buying the different typesvery troublesome, thats why now Im going to buy variable flow for both Playtex and Avent, as it allows for slow, medium and fast, all in one teat. Not sure if Nuk has variable flow too.

Stylux: Its a brand of electrical products ranging from multicookers, breakfast makers, fondue sets etc. They have a showroom in Commonwealth, I think. You know Simply Her magazine? They always give Stylux products away when you renew your subscription at Guardian Pharmacy. Next time you go by Guardian, look out for the Stylux Grill set. Last year I got a deep fryer cum Fondue set when I subscribed. This year I received a grill set. Their products are reasonably priced and quite innovative, as they combine many functions into one product.

I agree that family is more impt. Family can provide a support system that no one else can givemy hubby also wanted to migrate to US several years ago, coz he studied there and really likes the life there, but my parents are here, whereas his have passed away long ago, so we decided to stay put. I think so far its the right choice for us. How many years were you living in US?

Playtex: Storage system as in the One-Step, i.e., with breast pump adapter, caps and liner ring? Yes, Ive used the first about 2 times, just for the fun of it. Most of the time my Medela bottles are enough for storing my BM. The latter 2 I use all the time, not for BM, but to make batches of FM to chill in the Medela cooler bag, as the cooler bag is too short for me to put in the whole Playtex nurser with teats and cap, so must use the One-Step cap. This way, in the middle of the night, I just warm up either FM or BM to feed baby, no need to count out scoops of FM powder, mix and cool down really one-step way, ha! Ha! Personally, I think its a better system than using milk bags for storing EBM, as it eliminates the need to wash bottles.
As for nipples, youre referring to Playtex or Medela? I didnt think that Playtex teats could fit into Medela bottles because theyre so hugeThis weekend Im going to place order for 1 box of One-Step and a few sets of Variable Flow Naturalatch teats, as I think my baby is ready for medium flow teats already, and I only have the slow flow ones which came with nurser set. My baby uses 3 types of teats: Playtex and Avent Silicon (the former is softer, but seems to make no diff to him) and the NUK latex 2 (with the Medela bottles). So far okay. Only problem with having so many different types of bottles is that when its time to upgrade the teats to the next flow level, you have to go round buying the different typesvery troublesome, thats why now Im going to buy variable flow for both Playtex and Avent, as it allows for slow, medium and fast, all in one teat. Not sure if Nuk has variable flow too.

went 2nd jab of 6in1, rota n 3mths assessment for Melcolm today, the GP say Similac may make my bb hav constipation and poo lesser cos it happens 2 his child last time.. he encourage to switch to Enfalac.. hwever, my bb oledi on 3mths of Similac and i don wish to change leh.. haiz.. wonder wat he say is true or not boh cos he is not a PD..
btw, melcolm is 5.65kg at wk12 and 58cm.. he so skinny to me but GP say is normal weight at 50 pecentile..

I pumped my bm for the whole of today so i got 1 bottle and 3 packs of ebm (used milk bags cos not enough bottles). as i am going out from my mum's place, i told my mil to keep all the milk in the fridge and the 2 ice packs in the freezer (mil and fil were on the way home and so met up with me and hubby near my mum's place so tat i can hand my bb and my ebm to them to bring home). guess wat she did???!!! she placed the bottle of ebm in the fridge and the 3 bags of milk in the freezer!!!! she leave the plastic-bag-type of ice pack in the freezer and leave the medela container type of ice pack at room temperature!!!!! wat i am angry is that she actually leave my fresh ebm (those in the milk bags) in the freezer!!!!!! these fresh ebm can be fed to my bb. now i have 17th oct ebm in the fridge!! by right, if 17th ebm cannot be finished on 20th oct, i will transfer them to the freezer and the 20th ebm will be the 17th's replacement!!!! wow lau eh!!!!!! now 1 date missing!!!!! wow biang eh....now have so much old stock!!!!!! if i freeze the 17th now, i will not have enough of fresh ebm cos my 20th stock are now all freeze!!!!!

i have more than 16bottles of ebm in the fridge and i told her to give bb the oldest ebm first. to make things easy for her, i always label the bottles with the date and time and each bottle contains the correct amount that bb needs. she need not have to bother with the amount needed.i also arrange the bottles in chronological order and yet, she can still take the wrong bottle to feed my bb and i resulted in having old stock more than my fresh stock!!!!!i keep having to freeze my old stock while i dun have enough fresh ebm to replace the old stock!!! so angry....
i know i really have to thank her for helping me take care of my gal and bb but requiring her to do simple tasks like tat also cannot....wow lau eh...my heart very sim tiah ah!!!!!!!

Bottles are labelled nicely, n put in order for her but still she very "luan" juz take any bottle n feed when bb cries. fainz.....no choice lor. wat to do.
Also, last time, i purposely bought a small tray to put bb's stuff like cream, powder, ru yi oil, wet wipes etc so it's convenient mah. alamak the whole tray can go missing n bb's stuff all over the place! i can pull my hair man. for it's easier for me to close one eye coz we dun stay together n own mummy easier to handle lor.

so sorry abt the fiasco.. i guess it's like that when we ask someone else to do stuffs.. my hubby oso when rushing can just get the wrong bottle instead, or if he's too tired he'd put the bottle in the warmer too long cos fall asleep and then it's too hot then must cooled down again which ruins the vitamins.. but I just keep quiet laa event was a bit upset.. but his intention is sincere to help me.. since my breastfeeing book guide said can keep in the coolest place in the fridge for 8 days (same as Adelynn's PD advice) I just make sure the stock in the fridge is just enough for 1 day and if there's extra I move to fridge..
