(2007/03) March 2007 MTBs

Hey gals, tks for the myth thingy abt zoo. I didnt visit the zoo when i had ah bian but i went to the birdpark instead. It was like few daz before i went into labour. Think i walked too much dats y deliver 2wks before due date. haha...so hb warned me this round not to walk too much nearer to EDD.

Ok in the case, i shall avoid zoo then...but can go birdpark when im in later stage bah. heee...

mejo
i also bought a black dress from jshopper
the old folks prefer the kids to be dressed in brighter colors.
you just put a big bright hair clip or sth to make it brighter lor.

SQ,
Kekekeke... same tots on Mejos drawers.

Psst.. I know i will be scolded for this but I sleep with my lenses on. So 99% of the time, I am not blind. :p

The bbcream can mix one ah??? I am clueless with all this stuiff. I tink wait for the workshop den see wad saffy can do to the bbcream. :p

Mejo,
Dun overload the drawers lar. Lidat will cause it to sink.

Pink,
There are some goods, some bad. All down to luck.

shopping queen: My eyesight similar to yours before my lasik - 925 plus 250 astig and 1000 plus 200 astig. After my lasik, almost 6/6. After Lasik only 25 astig and 50 astig.

Best thing, I did it jsut before i got pregnant so I can wake up to see baby without groping for my glasses. I used to have dry eyes due to prolonged use of contac t lenses until I cannot wear contacts anymore. But after Lasik, no more such problems. I think you have to find a good doctor. I went to mine based on recommendation and not by the "adverts". Only now my astig keeps going up, but I still don't need glasses - 2 years liao. My best ever 5K investment.

carol,
U lasiked too?? where? where?? Kekeke...

Michelle,
WAd happend to WS dat need stiches?? Too much action?? :p

SQ,
Will check the tt later. Thank u.

QQ,
I tink u bought those compressed softwood thus u see flakes. Dun overload the drawers. The material is too soft to take the weight.

Linda: I won't advise you to do that, unless the lenses stated so. I used to work with a contact lens company and there's a lot of horror stories. I abused my contacts lenses until I suffer from dry eyes and cannot wear anymore.

wa mrs lai,
you give me hope.
your doc really that good?
ya lor, really have to grope for glasses everytime man!
like during delivery, in hosp, feeding bb etc. sigh... and i hate glasses cos i find that i'm confined to the rims, can't see all angle. the lucky thing is i'm fine with lenses for > 10 years *touch wood*

where did you do yours?

linda
you dun push your luck too far. wear lenses to zzz? the few times i KO and forgot i had lenses on, i woke up in a panic with my good vision!

Mrs Lai,
Yeah.. I know its bad but i am plain lazi. The things i do with my eyes and lenses, I tink i will be killed by any regular person if I disclose. Thats why i am considering lasik now dat its a common practice.

shopping queen: I did mine with Dr Lynn (something - forgot her surname) with Asia Medic - it's at lucky plaza level 5. I am considered as a good candidate cuz i got thick cornea. Have to be assessed if it's suitable or not first. But the prices at $5K - more exp than those adverts you see.

Linda: If u really want to wear to sleep, then change your lenses to those u can wear to sleep (extended wear) - i forgot wat was it called? Night and Day or something by Ciba and B& L got another. I forgot if J & J acuvue got anything similar or not.

Mummies, im not eating healthy meals this round of pregnancy. Blamed on my laziness + im not a fruity nor a veggie lover. I wont grab an apple fr the fridge and munch it like a burger. When i had ah bian, i was staying wif inlaws so i do take alot of fruits cos MIL alys ensure fruits to be served after meals.

And this time cos of poor appetite, im alys having sandwiches for dinner and drank quite abit of soft drinks. Also had abit of mint candies cos feel like puking. Poor baby,im not providing enuff nutrients....

Linda: anyway to share - cuz i used to work with those otpom kids also (when they still studying) and they said they won't wear the extended lenses to sleep, cuz they did some research and the amount of bateria and dirt collection scared them off :p

SQ,
Bingo on all.

Mrs Lai,
I tink lasik is the best solution for me. I shall have lasik before 2009. *Resolution for Q4 2008*

bbgal,
1st trimester is the brain cell growth. Take more vitamins to cover the lack in food nutrients. U can improve ur diet in 2nd trimester to support the bb weight gain.

Ask ur hb to buy and cut fruits lar.

shopping queen: I think so - for me, all i dared to hope for was 100 to 200 degrees shortsightedness. To be near perfect I was estatic! Then my dry eyes problem solved!

Only thing though, most people have this night flare problem. I have it also but I always had bad astig, so it doesn't really affect me as much. Somemore I got night blindess :p

Shopping Queen: wat does your hubby do?

bbmar
eat whatever you like. you'll be fine. it's better than not eating at all. i ate all kinds of junk when i was preg.

*siam before ganna harm-tarm by other mummies for the bad advice*

Linda: kekeke then u better do research on which doc you want to do go. Somemore cannot wear lenses for 2 weeks before going for lasik. By the time u are done with research, not much time left to go for 2009 heheheheheheh

mrs lai
i got everything you have. including night blindness. that plus color blind, you would be advised not to take my car when i drive at night! haha... my hubby's in the medical profession. his patients will go to him with all kinds of gross things in their eyes. then he has to either remove them or send them to hospital i think (never really listen. haha...)

linda
you should really thank your lucky stars.
enuf said.
wear those lenses that mrs lai recommend lor

linda, hit your pat pat, cause you should not do it. I' have eye dryness if i wear contact lense for more than 3-4 hours. i can oni wear it during my sports, then have to take out liao. the longest that i wear (permanent lens only) for whole day was during my wedding day. but i have to take out and let my eyes rest for few hours in between .

This was my resolution in year 2008 cause i have a scar inside, then do everything together woh. ok lor, now me ok liao.
mrslai, thanks for your affirmation cause I feel better now. haha! i am a kiasi person, i wanna see tian get married next time.

Mrs Lai,
How to put it. I know the harm dat I am causing myself with my bad habit but its been ard for more den a decade, so its become part of my routine. (or rather non existance routine)

I hv optician frens, doct frens who told me everything they know and I know the kind of trouble I am getting in but I am plain lazi. (Ok, this sounds irresponsible)

But I am improving. I have invested in extended lenses, start monitoring no of days the lenses are in used, ensuring dat i dun go beyond the stated days....

BB, can you tell your hb to put in one apple into your bag everyday? or muesli bars? or get your colig to help you?
my hb used to put in food stuff into my bag everyday last time (oni when he was back in sin for a while). Then everyday i like to search my bag for surprises.
then my colig also make sure i go for lunches with them. somemore some of them very ngiao, willcomment if i cannot eat this and that. but i was a good gal last time, got eat a lot.
weekend you can go home and bu3 your body.

linda, you ah. my friend told me abt shinagawa lasik centre. you can consider. dunno whether it's really good but it's a tie-up between shinagawa japan and singapore national eye centre (snec) associates. should check with audrey...

linda
does this mean you oni take out your lenses after a few days/weeks kind? in between you dun worry about them and they don't give you problem?
when was your last eye check?
ok?

Mrs Lai,
Kekeke... I was tinking juz head to snec. Ditch the trouble of looking ard. (I always talk many, many, must start action.)

bbmarch,
Yes, its u i wanna direct.. paiseh... I blurz..

QQ,
Ok, ok... eh.. u remind me at end of the yr if i hvt schedule for appt ah... Kekekeke.....

Moogen,
U said a magic word! Suddenly I feel like gg to dat clinic IMMEDIATELY!!! LOL....

SQ,
I use them as per reccomended period sans the daily removal. I check annually, last was 10 months back, so far normal.

michelle, why ws needs to go for stitches? wah. sounds serious.

SQ, Linda is the one who needs a little bit of scolding before she gets her butts move a bit. *siam* but really not good la.

mrs lai, u have big eyes, i cannot imagine u wearing super thick glasses with 1000 degree. very chim hor. good la, now ok liao.
night blindness is due to high astig right? then i also have a bit. not blind, but not so clear at night last time. now also same as last time.

QQ,
LOL.... u know me lar.. always 'iron teeth'. :p

Juz a tot. If u are offered a job in UAE for 2 years with uplift of 100% - 150%, full allowance for housing, meal, transport, etc... Will u make the jump?? If u do, will u bring along the family or leave them behind. ** This is qns to MUMMIES.

Linda, let me be your first one in your survey.

what is UAE?
dun care la.
i will go, and bring my family. mr lai can choose not to go and it is only for 2 years. that's how bad i am to him.
happy.gif

QQ: My glasses small small cuz the lenses very heavy - already using high index 1.7 glass so end up my eyes always look v small!

dun think my night blindess due to high astig. Like now, if my gal's room is in total darkness i cannot see - need to grope around and on the night light. Even if my gal is sitting up watching me and the maid tell me where my gal is, I cannot see! everything is in pitch darkness to me! I think i just see it as a lot more shade darker than what other pple see at night :p

Shoppingq: My driving at nite not much better, esp if it's raining!

Linda,Yvonne

SQ, Linda, QQ,
yeah, my hubby now works closely w medical industry, cos need to interface machines w IT network etc... so now he talks to many doctors and nurses, so he knows much more on lasik loh. That's y he say better dun go for lasik loh... so i am still thinking loh...

UAE - United Arab Emirates (the middle east)

QQ,
LOL.... FAMILY = HB + Children lei....

SQ,
Definitely it will be postive in personal $ gains and experience. But family wise, it will be a risk coz education is a issue if u move there. But if u dun move the family, there is gonna be a huge gap in between the 2 yrs....

Somehow, for the daddys, this seem so much easier. For mummies, dunno why, but things get more complicated. OR isit the mummy dat complicate things?? hmm....
