Me already on leave on 7th, coz 8th my birthday and I kanna got lesson, so took leave to accompany my mum for her facial. And to make myself free from hateful work.
Really envy those SAHM!

haiyoh! I dare not give Hannah the nestle brand food...so far, it's heinz and gerber. The other day I just bot Healthy Times Organic Brown Rice cereal for her...Now i wondering if those oso have... aiyoh... oh well...i guess cannot worry too much.

Ya lor...scary right. I think Heinz/healthy times cereals r ok cos they dun hv much added ingredients except Vit's and minerals whereas Nestle cereals all hv added milk n DHA from vege sources etc...that's why got trans fat. BTW, Farley's rusk also contains trans fat. I only give E Nestle stuff occasionally so nebermind lar. Normally I cook my own porridge so sure no trans fat

went to see GP coz my irritable bowel resurface liao...

told the GP tt i'm breastfeeding.. he said his medication okie one.. but i still dun trust him.. coz he said without thinking one lor.. went to check out the web.. it's NOT RECOMMENDED FOR NURSING MOMS!!!! it will pass into breastmilk and make bb drowsy.. wat r these docs doing??? pay them liao still lidat!! shall go to a breastfeeding friendly GP this wkend instead.... hai~~~~~~~

today on mc and for 2 days liao. doc said I got virus infection. left eye pain, headache and sore throat (phlegm green + a bit red).so just woke up at 11pm only(replenish my slp). got to out to deliver ebm.

I was on half day course last fri, the trainer is so interesting, the way she talked and her presentation was so amusing that I have a gd laugh half of the day. she is 61 yr old and a AP of NTU who she taught principle and teacher when they came and attended courses. so interesting that her friend and family celebrated her birthday at Macdonald.they played music chair and other kid's game. the macdonald staff tot some kids will be attending and they are shocked when they heard that some old folks are celebrating the birthday party there. haa...acc to her, almost all macdonald staff will peek at the room when they walked by to see what the old folk can do during the birthday party.

will kate lean against u when u walk pass? now, after having dinner and pump, while my mum is carrying bb tx, bb tx 's eyes hawk on me. the moment I finished all the thing, she will utter some word 'mama...' and then auto lean against me. now, bb tx is like a koala bear. when my mum do the bao bao action, bb tx turn away (haa evil grins) and cling on my should with her head (so nice feeling).

went to see doc, the doc gave me lot of medicine (flu, cough, anti-botic, pandamol, sore throat) cos me $13.65 (anyway, dun need to pay, just flash csc card ) and I told him I still bf, can all these affect bf. he said "SHD NOT BE" wow piang, only shd not be only...same same without thinking.

I even requested obimin fr him and he told me am I preggie. I told him preggie then can eat obimin meh.then he can normally, we already get much nutrient fr our daily diet liao and anyway, he still prescribe it to me.

yup, promotion no joke. more work, less resources (co cut down staff, 1 transfer, 2 resign and 1 no pay leave), leaving each of us taking 1 pay but do odd job. so stress, our team all high in mc man...

same same, changing diaper is like a war. bb won't stay till, trying to flip. usually, I will prepare few items to grab her attention and change item when she bored.

pull up pants ex loh. my mum use it at night. hmm bb tx now learn how to do bye bye and hi 5 action liao. we only do the clapping hand action when she finished her milk. she will be happy then.

I sometimes do take leave to go out with my mum and baby only. Coz my mummy always kanna tied at home taking care of my baby, so must sometimes jio her out, else she kanna cobwebs..

But on the other hand, if your company knows that you won't leave no matter how they treat you, then your life is going to be tough! I think there's no harm for you to take a look at what is available on the job market if you are really unhappy there.

Most ready made products would have some trans fats lah, esp those with veg oil. Cos high heat can cause normal unsaturated fats to turn into trans fat naturally, so that explains the <1% trans fat found in those trans fat free products. They dun add them in, it's the process that may cause it. But it's really in a very very small amount. To detect the trans fat, anything that has "hydrogenated oil" or "partially hydrogenated oil" would contain trans fat to some extend.

Great to see you and the babies today. This is my first time out alone with Regina in Singapore, so a bit garang gabor. Roy is so smiley and cheerful (when he is not crying for mummy), and Reyna is very sweet and adorable. Regina was so busy today that from 10am till 5:30pm, she only slept 10 min and drank 2oz of milk (luckily she had a farily good lunch, heh heh). She finally fell asleep half hour ago after finishing her milk.... whew.

Ya ya, actually I dun really mind giving food with some trans fat that's why I give E some Nestle prods n Farleys biscuits also. Besides, like you say lor can't help there being some trans fat but hor it depends on the total fat content in the product also lor. If the product has got high fat content, <0.1% can also be quite alot mah. So dun be fooled by % numbers.

That's the thing abt GP's I really hate lor. They r always rushing n dun bother to check anything. Last time when preggie I had hives this GP also anyhow prescribe me antihistamine saying shd b ok. Then my gynae referred me to skin specialist n at least this guy bother to open up his medication reference book to double check really ok for preggie b4 prescribing. Better be sceptical everytime u c Dr's esp if u hv some condition that requires u to b extra careful.

Hah, today E finally 8mths old. Seems like it took ages to get here. Still long way to go b4 I get to see easier days. HAIZ!!!......

Bloom, starluster, Dora, Bobianah and Afcai, thanks for emphatizing with me.Just after i returned from ML in feb, boss asked me to see him, bring me on merry go round, finally told me no variable bonus for me bec i went on ML. I told how how can penalise me bec i go on ML so my work and effort for the rest of the months for that period not counted and can't even give me abit? He said he believe giving all the bonus to the best so can't give me any. So ridiculous, on one hand govt is encouraging us to have babies on the other hand we get penalised for having babies at work place.

Think in my case my boss probably think i will stay put so give all the crap to me and dun bother to raise me up. He din even bother to revise my pay to be on par with market even if no promo and some of the people i work with is getting from bad to worse (the nicer ones left sometime last year already). Think i lose out also bec i dunno how to 3leg people. Its just not me. I have been persevering for the past few years bec of my kids but think this time i will be looking out, have to take a risk that working hours may be longer as now everyday is such a dread. Next thu, that girl is giving promo lunch, really dun feel like going and i have also planned to take leave to go pak tor with hubby. But if i dun go think others may think i am petty.

Mummies, i am planning to start Evee on milk powder this weekend but haven decided which. May i know what milk powder are you giving your bb? How do you go about deciding which?

I remember one of the rule in MOM that dunno how many mth of preggie, the employer cannot ask the employee to leave. yr co u work with is not family pro one.

qsg, being so much underpaid sure does not feel good. i'm also underpaid compared to my peers. but then again, i see how hard some of them slog i tell myself, i'm contented with what i have now. i've also been here for 7+ yrs and bu she de the colleagues here.

i guess, if you keep comparing and thinking abt the underpaid part, then you'll not be happy. look around, maybe you'll be able to find somewhere you'll enjoy more and definitely pay you more.

Think I have previously replied to Kimi that I've given Regina biscotti, apple, cantaloupe, pear, watermelon, solid rice, solid brown rice, bao and bread. Most of the time, I still feed the little girl. The part of blw approach I adopted is the idea that we can offer babies more types and varieties of foods rather than sick to purees and porridge.

I m stil feelin very moody now...esp now tat Cae is not drinkin milk...n no pd seems to b able to help...

madeleine is home!!! n it means i'm home too!!! back to a real bed!

madeleine has been a real trooper. she came out of the OT at 12+ on tues but didn't really wake up until about 4pm. in between she had periods of wakefulness every hr when she would smile at us n even tried to laugh, with no success. when the sedation wore off n she woke up, she wasn't so smiley anymore, but she wasn't wailing n sobbing like i thot she would be. it was a struggle to feed her in the first few days. we started by syringing her 10ml of milk every 4 hrs in the first day n 30ml on the 2nd day. that girl is so rebellious she would use her tongue to block the syringe. n her tongue moves so fast, sometimes the milk comes spraying back into my face. i think less than half the water n milk we fed her actually gets in, n the more she struggles n cries, the more blood comes oozing out of her nose n mouth.

we tried sneaking the bottle into her mouth every now n then. to our surprise, she accepted the bottle at midnight yesterday. thinking back, there must be too much pain killers running thru her system. who would drink fr a bottle 2 days after palate surgery?! she drank 105ml of milk that feed n vomited almost all of it out 15min later. think her stomach wasn't used to so much milk after starving for so long. now she's drinking 100+ml every feed, n since i'm feeding her ebm, her stitches were very clean, so we got discharged today. yippee!!

we were so happy to be home that all the adults forgot to give her pain killers. it took an hr of her whining b4 we remembered that it was time for her painkillers.

yes, i made biometric passport for hannah. after like 2 yrs will probably need to change. I asked the ICA ppl liao. Initially I oso thought "sian man, every 1-2 yrs must change cos her face will change and they dun allow just putting in a new photo. So expensive" But wat to do? we have to travel and cannot put off making her passport. So, use it as an excuse to travel more lor. hahaha!

Yup, hannah oso chew on the shoulder strap of the ergo... I find the hood strap ok so far.

yes, i leave hannah at my IL's and visit daily, bring home on friday evening. But dun forget, my IL live just 3 min walk away from me, so its not tiring for us. Plus, I hire a part-time cleaner to clean my place once a week.

ai-yo, then u got to close one eye and dragged yrself to work everyday loh. last week, have attended the course - substaining yr passion and enjoying yr work. the trainer told us that most of our time are spend working so if the workplace is like hell, one mood will be down. but hor, dun be angry abt the ppls in yr workplace and dun let it affect yr family as well. think of it not worth being angry. if boss dun like one face, just avoid and do one own work, live day by day loh. if not, change job. that's the advice fr the trainer.

my thermal pot is brandless one... those endo and iona at least got brand, but mine dun even have a brand!! That's why its so cheap lah... $49.90 for a 5L one... but so far it works well for me leh... I've cooked all sorts of soup, porridge, stew and even curry chicken using it!

Maybe the difference with the branded ones is the durability? .... I've used this brandless one for 1 year liao still working very well... dunno when it'll conk out..... maybe the branded ones can last 10 years?
I want to buy a small one to cook porridge for JT mah... mine is sooooo big!! I saw the iona one at courts liao... no good. The upper layer is plastic one.... at least my brandless one upper layer still stainless steel.

I've started JT on FM to add to her solids. Due to her eczema, the PD recommended soy, so now I'm giving her Isomil Advanced to add to her cereals. Since Evee also has eczema like JT, you might want to be more careful.
Haiz.. I think your boss thinks that you "pa si buay zao", so he can treat you in any manner you one. I remember attending one of those soft skills training, and a HR consultant said that nowadays in Singapore, if you stay in the same job (meaning no change in job scope/promotion etc) for 5 years, then some bosses would view you as no market value... haiz... very sad lor....

Jav used to wake up 2 times for milk in the middle of the nite. think he is not really hungry but he need the milk to comfort himself to sleep. Nowasday he no longer wakes up for milk. If he cries in the middle of the nite, i will pat pat him abit n he will fall asleep. tink is only a transition period. hope is the same wif ur boi also.
