It was really tired to organise a party for my DS. 90 Adults and 30 kids attended to his party. I hv to hire a event mgt company and a balloonist to keep the guests entertain and occupied. But I dont think it will be necessary for me to do it for his future birthdays so might as well do a grand one for him since it's his very 1st one. (And oso becos he's my 1st child)

If you know of someone who is a memeber of SSC, u can get that person to help you to book the place for any parties or event. The food portion that they provided is very generous and most of the guests commented the food was GREAT!
There were about 20 diff types of food served that day from appetizer, main course, tim sum, laksa, rojak, nonya cakes to hot n cold dessert to fruits. My hubby even ask for them to serve beer n red wine to the guests! Faint!

Hey Bloom,

My cornea is actually slightly thicker than normal, so that was not a consideration. The surgeon recommended for me to do epi lasik if I can afford the down time, so I went along with his suggestion. My vision is still fuzzy now... hoping that it will get better after a few more days.

Quite troublesome to have fuzzy vision for so long. Ended up today my dad and FIL had to jointly help me send my car in for servicing....so paiseh, simple car servicing turned out to be like one big family affair like that, with my mum and MIL and little R all tagging along.

Ok, really can't see well enough to type too much. More next time.

Hello Mummies

Had a busy weekend cos Hubby is finally back!!! No more travelling till next year!!

Update on JT's care arrangement.... my cousin who is a consultant on early childhood has offered to take care of JT at her home for the 2 days per week in Jan while she work from home.... afterwhich it'll be the poly long hols till Apr.... then we will put JT in childcare as per original plan... cos she was saying 16 mth can put childcare already if she can walk ... looking at JT, I am confident that she can walk very well by 16mth... and my cousin says she'll put her on a typical childcare routine and let her get used to it... yeah!! At least can get a load off my mind now...
Hubby is on leave today to take care of JT... this is the 1st time he takes care of her alone for the entire day.... let's see what happens hehehe....

Oh dear... poor Kate...that time when JT was sick at 7mth, the doc says that babies are very prone to sickness when they're 6-7mth and 12-13mth... he says nobody really knows why... but that's what the stats show lah... glad to know that Kate is as good as new liao...

i'm stil 100% moo moo leh... (maybe i shd get the cow cake for my own bdsy...haha) My mum has been asking me whether i wanna start intro FM to lucas since i am so busy, i hardly have had time to pump this last week so my ss is dropping a little.

Anyone know whether BF at 1yr + still got benefits? Or is FM better for them - like got more added vitamins etc? The lady GP i bring Lucas to says BF not much more benefits past 6mths so i can consider stopping at 1yr old. Really? Its tough work and i think of all the time i spend pumping (at least 1 hr a day)...maybe i can spend it playing with Lucas instead? But then again, i will be very sad to stop... howww?? hahah

need advice fr u... anyway giving bb one drink gain iq? cos my mum kept on telling me not to give this as she said tx's poo poo is so smelly than when she took the nan 2. I told her she 'xin li zhuo yong". so confusing shd I continue to give gain iq (so far she has been on gsin iq once a day except sunday (twice) for the past 3 days liao) or shd I give nan 3?

my frenz is telling me that nan is more bland than gain iq, which I find that it is true cos gain iq so yellowish and smell so vanila kind of smell.

PH still can afford 50% BM bcoz i got some frozen stock.. but they r depleting really fast.. he will need to take FM next wk onwards.. i'm giving him enfapro A+ step 2 now.. dunnoe if shd give him enfapro A+ step 3 or gain IQ.. not giving him nan as he got rashes when i gave him nan ha 1 when he was 6mths old..

i received a phonecall fr somewhere too.. similar.. free 2hr photoshoot.. aft tt, can take back 2 photos.. they even give free makeover.. we went there once.. PH was cranky.. he can't tahan the flashlight.. was sulky throughout.. think the photographer there not used to taking photo of babies.. dun need to recommend me lah.. coz dun want PH to go thru another round of "flashlight attack"..

Ya, You are rite! The event guy only assist me in coordinating and planning the party, design and print my invites, do up a slideshow on my child birth stories and pics and entertain the guests. The major bulk of the job still comes from me. I have to plan 3 months ahead for the venue of my DS party, purchase the cake and decorations, balloons and goodie bags!
But seeing how much he enjoyed himself on that day, I feel all my money and effort spend on him really worth it! By the way, I only spend 2 weeks planning my wedding as compared to spending 3 months ahead planning for his party, so funny, rite???

Hee Hee, actually for Marcus' full month party, I have about 200 guests. So for his 1 year birthday, I already excluded a lot of ppl but still seems so many hor!

I cant afford to faint! I have to entertain so many guests and their kids. And not forgetting to foot the bill! Haha!
But I think the best part is I lost weight and oso my sleep in organising such a big event for him.

She was sooooo happy, although the elder sis Nicole had a bit of sibling rivalry, as she was not used to all the attention on meimei rather than her!! Will post photos soon....

but i guess if i get too tired and ss not enuff (cos no time to pump!), nothing wrong with giving FM lah... so see how long i can sustain lor

maybe after my deadline on 31/12 (i may be spending new yr's eve in office!!) then my ss can go back up agn

i got many tins of FM from the FM companies leh... small size one. Just go their website ask for a sample. Then they will deliver to ur house... guess u can taste test or let bb test see if they like... I was intending to do that when i switch to FM. I guess if they like and their poopoo not hard or smelly then shd be a good choice?

Only dunno how long to "test" tho... 1 week? anyone can teach me in case i need to resort to FM?

I just started Hayley on Gain IQ recently for her night feed only. She seems to like the taste a lot and can finish 240ml at one shot. I believed Gain IQ is much sweeter as it contains vanilla flavouring. In the past, I have a hard time making her drink Similac stage 2.

As for her poo, I not too sure.. will observe during weekend. Anyway, nowsaday her poo very smelly ever since she started on meat and fish.

PH fell down n knock his head etc several times liao.. now i already accept tt falling down is part of growing up.. as long as he's okie, i let him explore on his own.. sometimes when he knock againist things, i act like i din see it.. n he's actually fine.. onli those hard hard knocks will make him cry out loud..
