No eggs till at least about 9 mths old and even then give egg yolk first. i didn't give egg white till Joshua was close to 1 yr old. I think the jab that she is referring to is the MMR jab taken at 15 mths cos there's egg white in there. So it's best to see if bb is allergic to egg white. BUt i'm not sure what will happen if bb is allergic to eggs cos this jab is a mandatory one.

As for bananas, i read that some don't recommend feeding a young bb banana as 1st food because of the fungicides that are sprayed on them. Banana skin is porous hence the fungicides are absorbed into the flesh. So it's best to give organically grown ones if you want to feed bb with it.
And also some are concerned that the seeds are not easily digestible so they don't feed the middle portion where the seeds are.

forgot to answer you earlier. J didn't self-wean from the yaolan overnight. it was a gradual process cos he was at the infantcare so no yaolan anyway except during weekends and in the evenings.

i shldnt weight lesser than pre-preg coz i eat like a pig now. so got weight loss i v worried. this morning i weighed and i gained some weight. so happy. 4 the 1st time in my life, i actually felt happy i gained some weight! but then when my weight goes up up and up, i start to worry again! WOMEN! nvr seemed satisfied! haha

tell me abt exercise man. i nvr used to do tt b4 preg and all the more i will not start now. alrdy hardly hv enuff sleep, dunno where to find time and exercise.

Yep, pretty busy with work recently. I now like 1 person doing 4 ppl work. Really KNS at work, till I sian to come to office. On leave also sian, cos come back a lot of work to clear.
You like PIS ah? I dun like leh, cos I always got problem with water droplets found in the 2 tubes and it has the back flow problem. I need to use at least 20 to 30 mins when I use PIS while for Ameda, I only need 10 mins. I find PIS suction pain leh.

A close up of the cake that I ordered from Room For Dessert. Quite satisfied with their customarized cake. I was worried it didn't turn out to be wat I want. Thumbs up! But hor, the butterfly cost $1 each and I kena "scoldings" from my bro haha...

But at least we talked, he say tonite we'll try to think of a solution again.

Regarding the egg yolk thing I remember my Mum testing that on my yoiungest bro b4 and he was allergic and so the jab was delayed. But I also cant remember which jab. let me ask my Mum, but I doubt she remebers, 16yrs ago lia. Caleb ia always so stylo like you. Now he even look hunky.

my last visit to polyclinic hor, heard e nurse told new parents to only give egg yolk at 8mths.. start 1 teaspoon per day, slowly increase to 2teaspoon then 3 over a period of 2 weeks.... i think its also e MMR jab tat wil trigger same reaction as egg yolk, so give bb egg yolk first to "test" if they r allergic...

i think i'm probably one of e "rare" ones here.. i get along very well with all my ex-bf's mums... some of them even dote on me more than their own daughter... so never tot of "need to marry a guy w/o parents"... but my MIL now, prob cos we got "communication" problem.. she speaks hokkien while i can only understand and speak very little.. so most of e time i juz go "ya ya ya.. ok ok ok...".. plus she got 10 other children n son/daughter-in-laws.. so she pretty bo-chup us one.....

Hmm.. the cake is 1.5kg, cost $45. The deco you see on the cake (flowers, butterflies, candies) cost another $10 + delivery charge $10 = $65. Half the price of her first cake last year. Find the pic to show you later.
Flavour is Choc-A-Lot. If you like dark choco cake, you gotta try

The carrot cake is nice too but I find it too sweet.

I din send Jaslyn to gym class leh. Only send Jolene. I feel hor, if you wanna send Isaac to gym class, wait till he can at least crawl or walk. Jolene is attending her gym class at My Gym. One more lesson to her class. She enjoys the gym class but I'm stopping it after her last class.
My Gym can open our own class at our preferred timing (also at theirs) if we can get a min of 6 kids to open the class. The current class that Jolene is attending, I arrange with some other mummies to start our own class at our convenience.
I never know Jolene can be so strong in her motor skills till I send her there. She got my jaws dropped. Compare to her friends who are older (or younger), I can say her motor skills is q good. Even the teachers also commented she's good and strong. Show you a pic later.

This is Jo's 1s Birthday cake, customized by Pine Gardens. It is a 3 tier cake, 3kg. As usual, kena "nagged" for a 3 tier cake cos more difficult for cake cutting. $130 for this cake consider reasonable cos if I get Room For Dessert or other more "branded" bakery shops to do, it sure cost more than $200. If I remember correctly, Pine Garden charged me $20 or $30 for customarized the cake design to my instructions.
The decors on the cake are self provided by me.

Avocado is good as first food for babies. it has good fats for brain development.
Other first food that you can try is sweet potato. Get the japanese one, steam it and mash it up.

The gym class will have singing, playing. More for interaction and sharing and to train motor skills. I used to think I can teach this at home too, but no energy leh. Personally, I prefer gym class to those singing or other class.
They will teach parents to do sommersault for the kids. Different ways of doing.
This is one of the "stunts" taught in gym class, to train them on co-ordination on their hands and legs. Like a female "Tarzan".
