Btw you don't place a mattress / cushions beneath the yaolan? i put a small cot mattress and a cushion in case the yaolan gives way.

yes, that's the qingcaoyou. It doesn't sting if the skin is not broken. Emma don't know how to scratch the bites yet. i find that it heals quite quickly cos i apply on mine and Joshua's bites also.

hi ladies! im back from my krabi trip! it was a well deserved break, away from diapers and computers! nothing much to do there except lazing, island hopping, eating, massage and boozing. not much shopping too cos most of the stalls selling similiar stuff.
aonang beach on krabi aint that fantastic, quite dirty and waters are murky. but the beaches over at phi phi ley and phi phi don are beautiful! went snorkeling and saw colorful fishes and corals. very nice!

this trip was actually to celebrate my hubby's birthday.. we're planning another beach getaway to either koh samui or bali, in april during my birthday! my hubby only likes beach vacations, even our honeymoon was at mauritius, another beach destination. he's a kampong kid who hates urban life (especially shopping, coz he'll end being my porter)

my boy went for his 2nd jab last saturday...he only put on 0.26kg and his height only increase 0.5cm.....he is now 61.5cm and 6.26kg

The weekend is a nightmare for me! Isaac decided to go on milk strike! He used to drink 150ml on four hours interval , now the moment he saw the bottle he scream. only drink 60-80ml after 1 to 1 and half hour.
I have even changed teat, from small to medium, changed brand, from nuk to pigeon, change milk, from breastmilk to formulae (secretly hoping he hate the formula, cos birth till noe he has been drinking breastmilk). nothing works.
i nearly went crazy! hope today he wakes up his idea and drink his milk, if not my mum is gona a hard time!

BBgrace, now I do. I put a matteress in a L shape against the wall so her head wont knock the wall and she wont hit the flr too. The photo was taken when she was very small so that time stikll wasnt so scared. Am contemplating to buy the motor .

poor emma ..so much mosquito bites. u use 'qing caoyou' on her? i dun like the smell lel. think u should try aloe vera gel (frm the plant one, original) better lel. i used it whe Alvis 's face is too dry, cause rashes on his faces. it's every effiecient. besides tat, his face got so many scratches by his finger nail, very fast to recover lel.

think Alvis totally diff with Isaac. although ppl said bb will got on milk strike when reach 4 mths.
but this A really 'tam jiak'. yesterday he cant sastified with his 160ml. then i gav him water, he drank 20ml. and this 160ml only last him for 2hrs nia. think he total intake for y'day more than 1100ml in 24hrs.
today i reserve 2 btl BM, each 180ml & see he will finish or not.
i just scare he will drink too much ..

yah u juz press on and Char will def produce results. me kept singing rursery rhymes when i latch too. i think i muz b the only crazy mummy tt needs to sing, dance and latch same time. sometimes he still fusses, so i wondered "issit coz my singing so terrible and he is actually asking me to stop singing by crying?!"

wah now Alvis drinks so much. hehehe... he is 6.7kg so multiply by 150ml shld drink 1005ml/day. sometimes i noticed R oso like tt. Drinks alot suddenly. i guess its their own body system to make up 4 wat they drink lesser at other times?

1 trick to combat his milk strike is to give less but more times. R used to b like tt. drinking only 60-80ml each time. so my mum feeds him once every hr or 1.5 hr, depending on his mood. so at least he drinks. dun wait till 4 hourly interval. slowly increase his intake fr 60-80ml to 100ml.

dunno lel. y'day he really drank ALOT!! make everyone so shocked. hb thot is tat he understand wat PD told me tat ask me to feed more. & then he started drink more. so tat no one will say this mum abuse his son. haha...

my A hates ppl disturb him when he enjoying his milk. even i talk to my hb, he oso will cover his ears, haha...

Crystallized, ya Char's schedule seems to improve after my 1wk effort. Last nite she slept at 8+pm with outmuch fussing. I;'m so happy my effort paid off, hope it'll stay this way.
Jasmine, I see. A is really tall for his weight. Char was only 65cm at 1wk before 4mths..

eh.. u ever come across rats at ur place?? my mum told me used to hv quite alot of rats running ard compass heights esp at e carpark area.. always tell me "horror" stories of "playing" hide-n-seek w e rats....

my maid looked after my gal and my mil came over to helped out while we were away. if i hv no maid, i dun think can go vacation too coz it will be hard for my mil to look after bb alone..

ya, the room was quite nice but the resort screwed up leh. service, breakfast, and swimming pool was bad. think they nv clean the pool for ages, the water was yellowish and murky. yucks. but yes, beautiful scenery cos of all the limestone cliffs and turqouise sea. kinda exotic..haiz, i also cant wear bikini bottom coz of my ugly stretchmarks on my butt cheeks and upper thighs. thats y hv to wear surf shorts to cover..

my figure no gd la! i was way slimmer before pregancy, at least can see waistline. i appear to hv no tummy coz i "kek" mah.. when i sit down, spare tyre will appear liao. i put on 20.5kg during pregnancy, from 45kg ballooned to 65.5kg. now 4mths later, lost 16.5kg. still have another 4kg to go leh. my ideal weight is actually 43kg, but impossible to hit that target. the trick to lose weight is to eat as little carbo as possible and no supper!! i dun exercise so can only control diet lor..

Momconomics, so Cahr not really too short cos i saw Jasmine's A is 67cm...Actually, really dunno how fast or how much bbs shoudl grow. Bought lots of clothes for cah rthat's meant for bb who are 80cm, and my Mum told me might have to wait till Char is 12 or 18mths then can wear. Faint!

i read somewhere that our babies length and weight is determined since birth, inherit from parents genes. if u are tall and slim, chances are ur baby will follow.

staryes, the place is really lovely. but u hv to go on their island hopping tours to phi phi islands,4 islands..etc to see the exotic scenery. nothing much on krabi's aonang beach though, only the sunset. but aonang is more vibrant and touristy, with all the restuarants, bars, massage parlours and shops. but the stuff is overpriced coz of all the tourists.
i stayed at aonang buri resort. convenient location, only 10min walk to the main aonang beach but resort itself is no gd. if u intend to go i recommend la playa resort.
we spent exactly $1300 for 5D4N. inclusive of accom, airtix, taxes, 2 island tours, food/booze and massages (everyday) and other misc stuff. so its actually very cheap lor.

wah how come your knowledge on mozzies so good?!
I started with Gerber rice cereal mixed with breast milk the very first time i fed joshua cos i compared the ingredients and Gerber seems to be the "plainest" compared to Heinz. Subsequently i switched to organic ones from Healthy Times. You can get them from NTUC but they only have the mixed grains and brown rice cereal which you only feed from 6mths onwards cos they are harder to digest. There's also Barley Cereal from HT to start with but i can't find them in NTUC. I used to get mine from Vitakids at Forum or Brown Rice Paradise at Tanglin Mall.

no aloe vera plant at home. I used the pure aloe vera gel on her but no effect. So desperate and my mum says can use qingcaoyou. Seems to heal quite quickly after that.

These days no more rats already. My sis who lives at the penthouse here found rats in her house! We wondered how the rats go in. Take lift?
I think they really took the lift up cos there were 2 occasions where i found a rat running around in the lift lobby on the ground floor. It can't get out cos the door is closed so when the lift door opened, the rat ran in. Scary hor?

im quite petite. even though i lost quite abit of weight, some of my friends who didnt see me during pregnancy still commented that im fat now. quite sad lor.
actually breastfeeding still can diet. not in terms of eating less but in terms of eating healthily. less carbo (rice, bread, noodles), more fish, lean meat, veggies and fruits. u still can lose weight one, even faster coz u r breastfeeding. my gynae also told me not to eat too much during confinement even though i was breastfeeding.

yah i believe ur effort will eventually pay off.
i cant train R coz wkdays nites he is at my mum's. but my mum lets him sleep early at 9+pm. but this boy can really wake up early. on the days tt i sleep over, he wakes up at 6+am, shortly aft i do! *faintz* but its v heartwarming when he can send me off for work and smiles so sweetly. aiyoh, heart melted and i din wanna leave 4 work.

there is 1 fridge here near my cubicle so i can monitor if anyone tries to tamper wif my BM> its only when i wanna freeze the BM then need to use the fridge in the pantry since the freezer of fridge near my cubicle is not cold enuff 2 freeze. so far so gd. no signs of tampering else i will surely noe mah. bian tai sicko old man!

i am definitely guilty of eating more carbo now! same as coral, i dun intend to diet as i am bfg. i feel tt dieting can wait till aft i wean him off. and i need more carbos to keep me full. imagine i alrdy need 5 meals a day to keep me full even though wif carbo. w/o it, i dun dare to imagine i need to wat how many times a day!
and the fact i am losing weight w/o visible difference on my body scares me... so dieting is a no no now.

think maybe nid to exercise to see visible results? like for me, now im stuck at 49kg. for tummy, the only way is to do leg crunches to firm up. no amt of dieting can help reduce the tummmy, i think. coz during pregnancy our stomach muscles loosen and expand, so now hv to build up the muscles again by exercising.
