Oh.... wow.. give Armanda so many jabs... wow. She muz be really brave.

It's quite strange. But I will take note.

Xuanting seems like going to have fever after her 2nd 5-in-1 jab.. but so far we are monitoring.

Next month, be taking her 1st 6-in-1 jab and rotavirus vaccine together.. I m crossing my fingers that she will be fine on that.

Mommies who bought the leapfrog exersaucer
Can it roll around? I mean move? If bb tries to walk?

Becoz of not, dun think it is worth to buy now rite?? I mean sooner later she /he will want to follow us around.. n so walker type will be better, rite?

Exersaucer is stationery. That's the reason why i didnt join in the BP tat Rach organised. I know my boy, he wont want to station in one position for long, tats why i am considering a walker, where it has wheellers and stopper if i want it stationery. It has toys too, but not as interesting compared to the leapfrog. I am seeking comments from those mommies who bought leapfrog exersaucer, if it can fit the bb till at least 12mths? if not, i find no point buying.

hi girls... sorry mia for so long... missed out so many posting... been busy with work, work and work...

about baby walker, nix's pd advised me dun put him in walker, nvr ask her the reason but just follow her instruction. Nix's teething now... she recommened Dentinox oral gel to sooth his gum itchiness.. and also on weaning, had start rice cereal (PD recommended Nestle or Frisocrem). Got the brown rice for him, he likes it alot but i found it too sweet.

for those mummies who's bringing baby to pd, can help me ask why cant put baby on walker? cos will not be seeing pd for the next 4 months..

Jayden is also a very active boy as in he likes to move around even when he's being carried. However, he's ok when I out him in the exesaucer. Of coz cannot put for too long lor, the max he can stay inside is half an hour. To me is consider very good liao coz he can only stay on the FP rocker for 5min max.
 
Jumbo, my boy also having teething now. haha! and can tell the itchiness is getting to his nerves, but too bad he cant really hold things to smooth the itch. but i thk put some oral gel for him. For weaning my boy has already started on Frisocream and he likes it. He also eats the Heinz - carrot / potatoes puree.

You gave yr bb eat brown rice.. from where har? i also want to try for my boy lei.

As for walker, maybe there's cases of accident coz' walkers have wheels mai, so is been classified as unsafe for bbs.
 
wow.. seeing so many botaks bbs... make me miss my bb a lot.. hey hunniepot check with you do your bb starts to "crawl" mine keep trying and trying using his toes hahaha.. so funny! and he likes it coz' people will praise him.. hiazzz
 
Has anyone heard / seen the LittleTouch LeapPad learning system? I'm very keen getting one for my boy.. yesterday was at city hall - robinson i'm so tempted to get one..

Hehe I have that... but at this stage our babies are not able to touch the pad yet.. as in their fingers are not strong enough... but my girl likes looking at the poctures of the books and listening to the narration

Frisocrem? N nestle? Brown rice cereals?

My mom got the brown rice cereals from chinese pharmancy as these ppl normally choose the brown rice grains themselves and dry themselves before powdering... my sis used to have hers like tat made all by my grandma.

But dunno enuf or not?

BTW, how often re u feeding ur bb? Every meal? It is cooked in paste form? Or? How heavy ur bb now?

but of course, if you've got the time to watch over your baby, i tihnk it's prob ok, considering most of us had walkers when we were young.

thanks for yr thoughts re: solids. i guess i'm just over-eager cos it's something new to look forward to!! and also cos i was having a lot of fun looking at the bottled baby food in the supermarket yesterday!! yesterday my MIL cut a big chunk of apple and let K suck on one end, since she loves sucking everything nowadays. it was very cute cos she looked like she was really enjoying the juiciness!!
 
miu66, if i'm not wrong bb below 1 year, fruits are better to be dilute before giving them to bbs...i gave my bb drink the bottle apple juice and he loves it.. he hate pear juice hahaha!

Hunniepot, ya lor!! Mine also so cute.. he try and try and try.. only a few moves but if I help him to move faster.. he get very angry with me boohhh hoohh.. mama want to help only want. So sad. As for the leapfrog touch, ya lor.. I myself also being fascinated just by listening to the narration hahhaa..

Koalarie, I only feed him one meal that is shortly after our lunch, which is usually about an hour before his next feed.

ya...me same as you....mother side want to shave bb hair....and in-law site can't touch bb hair at all. Me in the middle really in dilema....haiz....

Any bb know to hold the bottle...mine trying to hold and she always pull out from her mouth...and she will get frustrated if she can't reach the milk...really headache. Don't know till when she can control her hand.....

My bb also tries to hold bottle recently. however, he cant really control his hands well yet. sama sama, sometimes he will pull the bottle out himself, and sometimes ended his hands got inside his mouth instead of the teat.

mom_yam, pd asked me to buy different teething toys for him (buy those bright colour one to attract him) i've bought a few, but he cant hold it too steadily so i hold it for him to "chew" or else he will "suck" my finger.. keke.. btw, where u get frisocream huh? i couldn't find it in local supermarket leh.. only nestle one..pd asked me dun give him wheat now and avoid egg till he passes 1 yr old.. for those fruit puree in glass bottle.. will intro to him later but not now.. i wanted to give baby fruit juice leh, but he got alot of phlegm.. dun think wanna give him now..

koalarie, my mum told me medicine hall selling wat u mentioned.. will get that after nix finished the whole tin of brown rice cereal.. there are 2 type of rice cereal.. one is white, one is brown.. but both with milk added.. i wanted w/o milk one but couldnt find it, in the end, bought the brown one with milk.. so sweet..

pd instructed to feed once a day to start off.. 1 table spoon each time and increase to 2 tablespoon on 2nd weeks.. just add it with warm water can liao.. it is in paste form.. Nix weighed 8kg on 5 months (last week).. slight above average baby.. but pd and nurses all call him giant baby.. keke.. but i dun him big at all..

Mrs Ho, i've asked pd about fever and teething connected.. she said this is not the case, baby wont get fever during teething but because their gums are itching, they will put everything into their mouth and cos of dirt, watever put into their mouth might make them fall sick.. stomach upset, vomit, etc..

urs is paste lo?

Mine is the brown one.. that is brown rice picked one.. Inside got also Si Shen that aids bb in digestion as well.

I saw two chinese physicians - one my mom's and other is me &amp; my hb's one. Both told me that the chinese pharmacy's brown rice cereals actually got no taste but only nice smell. So bb may not like it as the taste not as good as FM/BM. So they told me must add tian nui if made paste (Sweet milk - dunno condensed/evaporated milk; but my mom said last time she fed us like tat too.) Only then bb will take.

Yet, I dun think I should add this yet though both of them claimed that is safe for bb digestion... so add into Xuanting's FM. She now takes abt 5 meals except for 1-6am that one is pure FM.

One thing I must say, the poo really smells. Told my PD abt it yesterday.. she said is normal. =p

Re: Teething
I read tat some mommies gave bb bao yin dao will help bb during teething periods le.... so far, my gal taking bao yin dao since her 3rd month (only a quarter of the small little container each day).
 
Wait... jumbo.. the one i got, got no sweet taste le.

Actually no taste at all.. but the smell is ... wow.. very nice smell.

But coz no taste, my gal doesn't like it when my mom made the paste form for her to eat. PD said is normal as they not ready n ask us to try again few weeks later on the paste.. but adding in milk, is fine so long she's still getting her other nuitrients.

U can consider cutting the hair really short?

That's what I did for Xuanting yesterday.. Brought her to the hairdresser becoz her back hair is shedding quite badly. So no choice, else can see a patch here and a patch there.. =p

Jumbo, I bought the Friso from NTUC in Tampines. in fact, I saw Shop &amp; Save &amp; Cold Storage also selling now.

Koalarie, mine is in paste form. We will put him a high chair and feed him spoon by spoon. Say about 10 spoons but actually i think he only consume 4 spoons, the rest will be on his bibs hahaha. thk is norm coz' PD told me he is still "sucking" instead of eating. is just intro him bit by bit each day.

Where did you buy bao yin dao har?

Teething, "touch wood" at this moment my boy dont have fever but he has a lot of silver and keep rubbing his gum.

Jumbo, ya he will suck my neck, my arm and my neh neh when he needs to ease his gum, very itchy lei hahaha!

koalarie, the bao yin dao u mentioned.. is it similar to the bao ying dan selling at yu-ren-seng?
 
Jumbo, we just change his clothes.. coz' putting on bibs he will pull it hee...ya ya... when he bites really pain. I wil just stare at him and he will burst into laughter.. so funny!

I want to bang my head on the wall liao... my maid "sack" me this time! told her last fri evening tat agent will bring her for thumb print and also she will stay over at agent's place for training on sat, she got worried. "Asked me why she needs training again??" Also, I told her tat I cant apply a SIM card for her, as she is still new, then she not happy. So, on sat morning, when agent picked her up, she packed her luggage and told me she wants to change employer! ask u ar.... u send ur maid to IL' house on mon to fri?? does ur maid help in housechores at ur IL's Place?

yes, she does.. but i did ask her whether she is alright with the idea as my mil is old cant really do much house work. and i told her many many my house no need to do housework from mon to fri expect washing some bbs clothings &amp; bottles. Which she does it without me telling her to do so.

Coz' back to my home, her main duty is to look after my bb if both me and my hb is busy with work or bathing etcs... Sometimes my bb cries too much, she will take over and coax him to slp.
 
Anyway, agent tried to appeal for her, but i cant accept her anymore. She was the one who back out 1st. Count urself lucky, ur maid really has the initiative and focus on work.

1) homesick and talks to herself!
2) always go neighbour's place,talk to other maids
3) no initiative at all, take short cut

just my luck!!! haizzzz....
 
Tiffany, then you better send her home.. no good.. ya of coz' i have some prob with her la, she do talk to other maid esp same country. but i tend to close one eye. anyway, thk she scare of my hb coz' big size mai.. hahahaha maybe she think big size = fierce.. :p

The photo has to be in white background with no shadow, 400 x 514 pixel, not more than 60k. I just snap some picure and crop to a correct size with photoshop.

Compasspoint got a lot of toys now at the 1st level. I walk one round and my hands are itch, feels like buying toys for KJ again. I saw the leapfrog exersaucer priced at $249. You all got yourself a really good buy at BP.

Ryan initially looked blur blur when i 1st put him in..gradually he likes it n figure with it by himself.. think he likes it leh.. to me i find it worth buying lor.. like wat hunniepot mentioned..perhaps different bb different lor..

Regarding the HealtyTimes cereal...althought 10% discount, think the absolute savings not substantial / worth the effort to do the spree. 'cos food product, cannot stock up too much and the retail price is cheap as compared to big items like the exersaucer.

Tempted to get the exersaucer, but hubby not supportive.
