Auntie TBL...thk for ur compliment...again, mommy said lucky not like hers - OUT OF SHAPE!!!

purplebear,
I use the most primitive 'Paint' programe :p

1)Open paint programe
2)Open file to resize
3)click on 'image'
4)click on 'stretch n skew'
5)under 'stretch', change the percentage of 'Horizontal' and 'vertical' (normally, i change both to about 20-30percent)
6)save file

IF
the file size still too big to post on forum, after downsizing, I will 'cut' the entire photo and open a New empty file, 'paste' it and save under another name. works all the time.

I know my method is tedious and resolution is bad but thats the cheapest n easiest method i know :p

I would also like to learn alternative methods (but must be easy cos i not IT savvy) anyone can share?

really admire the mummies who lug the entire house overseas and still have a great time!
I dont think i have the ability, courage and ka-ching to bring potato overseas till shes start school!

Yuru,
so soon your family and friends will be meeting cindy!
have a great time at BeiJing. and dont forget pics, pics and more pics....

speaking of which...
cody,
your pics leh??? one is not enough to appease us.

Botanical Garden - Gathering #4

Programme: Need experts' advice.....

LL & Steffi
Mng & Declan
yuru & Cindy
cody & Dean

lach - argh! you caught me there, i thot everyone here would be so mesmerised by the pretty gals that my little sonny can retreat into darkness! alamak.

resizing pics:
do you have Microsoft Office Picture Manager?
after you open the pic, click on Picture.
At the drop-down list, click on Compress Picture.
You will be prompted to compress for webpage / documents / email messages.

I usually choose email messages or webpage.
As long as the file size is less than 50kb, can post here already!!

yuru:
my pleasure, let me know if you need any other info. maybe we can shift our conversation to email...

lachesiz, lachesiz, its cheaper to holiday with rae before she turns 2! between 2 to 12, they pay child rates! below 2? only pay for airport tax!
happy.gif

hi purplebear,
i use the same 'tedious' method as descripe by lach. i always thought that is very 'simple' method lei coz i dont know other method. :p

Mng & Declan
yuru & Cindy
TBL, HB, Natalie & Nathan
cody & Dean

btw for program may I suggest "newborn care" program. All ladies can be re-trained on feeding, changing and entertaining new born. I can give you my nathan for this program.
kao_biggrin.gif

purplebear,

I use Paint programe too. :p
Alternative,

1)open with Microsoft Photo Editor
2)click on image
3)click on resize
4)change the percentage of width to 20-15%.
5)save file as xxxxx (normally I dont save the original file, will save as.)

Done!
happy.gif

TBL: lol! since you offered, i'd love to "kidnap" nathan home for good too! Can? ;p

elmobbger: yes, child fare entitles you to a seat. its below 2 years when they pay only the airport tax that they don't have a seat...

Yuru:
if you want the more spacious seats ie the bulkhead seat, you need to check in as early as possible!
if you're flying SQ, can select your seats online too!
the extra space is wonderful for kids, no harm trying!
happy.gif

Botanical Gardens outing
When i brought Declan there, i just relax, and he go and run around. this time round, i will bring a ball so he can play. the last time i got a stylophone aeroplane.

yuru, i am feeling so excited for u and cindy leh.. if i am the one bringing ger for a flight, think i will be so excited the night before.. kekeke...
happy.gif
have a nice trip!

wow ... our thread is so lively this morning!

elmobbger,
ur gal really has lots of hair and they are thick too !

BG outing
hmm.... my ideal gathering would be we parents sit around R&R while the kids play among themselves with ball, balloon, bubbles, etc.

not sure if possible for my quick-freeze shermyn though but i will try.

TBL,
LOL..... u better stand by cheeks guard for Nathan if we are going along with your nb care programme!
biggrin.gif

elmobbger....Germaine so sweet. Btw, is the red chair she's on the kid's version?

TBL...hei, I don't mind lei....MISSED the bb curdle....

Cody/Yuru...izit the first row of seat where they locate the bb bassinet? I like the row 'cos itz not disturbing to any front seat passenger. The ones next to the window is PERFECT with broader leg room.

happy.gif
Dun think I know how to carry a newborn liao! Stressed stressed!
happy.gif

Yuru,

Very exciting! Hope you and Cindy have a great time in Beijing. Do take loads of photos and share with us! How long will you be there? I think your folks will be very thrilled to finally get to see Cindy!
happy.gif

KC: i was just about to ask where you were!!! didn't see you around for some time & started getting worried. glad to know you're around!
happy.gif

elmobbger: yeah me too, feel so excited for yuru & cindy! actually its MOST tiring for parents on the day before the trip and the day after you come back. so much packing / unpacking to do!

yuru: yeah, its 10% of the fair. except for shuttle flights to malaysia, then its airport tax only.

mngo:
oh yes! a ball's a great idea! but i apologise in advance first hor... my son is a ball hoarder. he LOVES balls!
just 2 nights ago, he went to bed hugging his football!
*faint*

i just learnt recently that there is a v nice open-air cafe opposite botanic garden, on dempsey road.

its supposedly v child friendly where the parents can sit, yak & eat while the kids play nearby. sounds great hor?

Hee! Thanks for the concern, I'm fine! Just that the pricking and testing 7 times a day is weighing me down a little, macham like reverse stock market like that, when it goes down I happy but when it goes up I get very depressed!

happy.gif
. Stock mkt up-down indeed!

tbl,
LOL abt newborn refreshment course!

BG,
5pm IS hot to me too. I usually like mornings 9-10:30am for OUTDOOR venues, but most pple cant make such timings hehe!
happy.gif

wow... received very good respond on NB-care program wor... :p
will not vote for the timing coz i'm ok with both 9am/4pm.

cody,
hahaha... dean so cute, hug his fav ball to sleep!! natalie always hug & say "bye" to her pooh bear b4 she sleeps. I think on average she says ~100x good bye to pooh bear each night b4 she can fall to sleep!!! **faint**

btw thks a lot for your effort to trace & resend the parcel.
happy.gif

medusa,
join us!! join us!! then we will have another NB at the gathering. the ladies need not to queqe too long for hands-on practice. :p

okie. BG has only ONE performance in the month of sep, in the evening:

Event Selected : Concert: Mus'Art Wind Orchestra
Date : 9 Sep
Time : 6pm - 7pm
Venue : Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage
Contact : Visitor Services (6471 7361)
Content : Having performed in various competitions and concerts both locally and overseas, these group of young musicians will treat you to an evening of wonderful music.

TBL,
guess i have to take Q number to cuddle Nathan.

Medusa,
come leh.. so there are more bb to carry. :p

BG timing.
I prefer early slot. I am use to detaching my fat ass from the bed an weird hours. :p
-cooler
-more daylight hours
-less mozzie?
-the day is young. can still have other programmes later.
-tod less cranky?

anyway, knowing the unpredictability of our kids , if we set it at 9, most will arrive at 10+. chinese wedding dinner syndrome.

How? vote leh...then we can start planning.

Jen: whoa you're still bfg? almost 2 years already leh!!!
i admire your patience to go on + pumping!!
think my pump / patience would have gone *kapoot* long time ago ....

get well soon!

lachesiz, that's what i thot too ... chinese wedding dinner syndrome.
cos i know i will be guilty!!
kee :p

i thot evenings will be good, cos sweat from 4+ to 6pm, after that it will be shady everywhere.
happy.gif

after that can troop over to tanglin mall macs for dinner!
happy.gif

Cody,
today no garberment?
any timing is fine by me as long as we all can meet up.
Just hope Potato don't roll off and go MIA in the dark.
