National Day 2023: 36 Sumptuous Snacks, Decadent Desserts & Fantastic Feasts
As the Lion City gears up to celebrate its 58th birthday, it’s time to indulge in all things local. Dress up in your red-and-white best, and gather your family, friends, and neighbours. It doesn’t matter whether you choose to dine out or party at home while watching the National Day Parade on TV. Either way, it’s time to mark National Day 2023 in true Singaporean style — with fantastic feasts encompassing brilliant buffets, sumptuous snacks, decadent desserts, and more — all August long.
1. The Local Table Afternoon Tea – 1864
Savour an epicurean afternoon tea experience featuring premium ingredients and a home-grown twist at 1864. The Local Table Afternoon Tea ($118 for 2 persons) is a showcase of 11 delicate treats. 2. A Toasty Shell-ebration – 25 Degrees Burger & Liquor Bar
Over at Hotel G Singapore, 25 Degrees serves up the Soft Shell Chilli Crab Burger ($20). It stars tempura soft-shell crab, chilli mayo, butterhead lettuce, tomatoes, spring onions, red chilli, and house-made chilli crab sauce. Staying true to local flavours, the burger is served with your choice of steamed or fried mantou buns. To celebrate SG58, acclaimed actress and self-taught baker Fann Wong creates a sweet tribute to the nation.
