Porky, ya.. i koe is my hubby wan my body to rest so he wans to put off BD. when i told my hubby i felt so bad dat he need to take so many urgent leave coz of me, i was extremely touched when he told me it's alrite. and though we spent so much $$ on the antenatal pkg, medication & D&C. even though bb is gone, he said most imptortant of all is i'm fine. whenever i told my hubby i missed our bb alot, he will console me n say God might bless us with twins the next time round. hope we'll be as lucky as bb08.

hi cheekz, urs is done in the clinic ? still cost the same as mine ? mine is done by Dr Adrian woodworth in TMC..i dunno why the price is different loh..the bill reflected like this..doct cost and other stuff..did not really see very clearly. but we did not pay anything in cash leh. still got received a cheque $168 from TMC wor

porky, mine was bout $1300 (inlc 1 lab test) @ my gynae's clinic in Glen E.

my friend did hers @ her gynae's clinic @ raffles med centre for $600.

i'm jus asking in case i MC again or wat...dunno if its worth it to spend so much if procedure is the same. perhaps even a govt hospital is good enough?

the breakdown is actually like tis

D&amp;C $378.89 <-- payable by us
Doc fee $620 <-- pay by medisave

u see $1100 ($620+$480) on the bill is coz $480 is wat we can claim fm our medisave for $ we spent on the antenatal package. TMC use the $480 to offset the $378.89 so we dun need to fork out a single cent. so end up we get a cheque for the balance unused fm the $480.

mi still waiting for TMC to send be my bal $101.11 and the $500 deposit. i was told it take 3wks to process.. how com u got $168 back, the D&amp;C charges increase ar?
 
bluberi, ur hb talk exactly like mine leh. also telling me next time we will have twins..that means our BB come back already..so funny. anyway we really hope our angel is fine and will come back to us one day. we must work hard ok ?

cheekz, u mean urs is not done in OT ah ? if procedure is the same then no point spent so much..ur fren one is cheap loh..i think it depends on the hospital and the doct fee..hopefully we wont need to do another time..so scary..

You are in DPO12 le ah. Soon you can test on HPT. Hope you see a big "pregnant". I think Gilian also same dpo as you. Hope she will strike too.

I am in DPO9. But I started to have a bit of pinkish spotting since DPO7. And sometimes, cramps. I hope it's a good sign but then it may be some hormonal change after the miscarriage.
 
bluberi, thanks for the detail breakdown of the cost. i did not look at the bill cos too sad and tired already after that..yes i think shd be like this. u will get the cheque about 6-7 weeks like dat..i get $168 back cos my antenatal did not claim so much..

Porky, i submitted all the receipts n it comes up to $583+.. but the inv indicated claim oni $480 for antenatal. so after offset they will return oni $101.11 to mi.. 6-7wks!! they told me 3wks oni leh.

my co. is trying to help mi claim the $378.89 fm co.'s insurance co. hopefully can claim back. i was offended when the insurance co. told my F&amp;A manager dat that i may by claiming for abortion n nt M/C!
 
bluberi, yes TMC told me is 6-7 weeks and i really got the cheque abt this time..so good, ur company can help u to claim back. but how can they said that u got abortion !!! so bad of them. so did u clarify ?
 
Porky, den TMC bluff mi by telling mi 3wks nia.

dunno la, tis stupid insurance co. suspected i had abortion instead. den my F&amp;A manager scold them. to support my claim, i submited the viability scan report which i did at TMC to confirm bb lost heartbeat. hopefully the claim can go thru.

Jappooh - oh dear... hope ur MS goes away soon. u can start to take chix essence and abit of bu ow that u are past first tri rite? maybe u try to take a bit and see if it helps..

Re: Insurance
i tried also to claim but my agent say most policies do not cover miscarriage... sigh.. not as if we want it right, cant even give financial support...
 
bluberi, hehe. actually hor..TMC very blur one..they write on the invoice that they will return me $618. i also did not ask why so much lah..scarly after we reached home 5 hours later, we received a call from TMC that they have calculated the wrong amount..then they say the cheque they will issue is $168 only..we dont even bother to say so much..dunno why they can make such mistakes..ya hopefully the insurance company can approve your cliam. i spent about $310+ for my antenatal and i did not sign the package from Dr Adrian. btw, if u are preggy again, will u go back to Dr Adrian ?
 
aileen, u test with cheapo one first. if can see 2 line then must buy ex one to confirm. lol..but i really hope u can strike loh. i also ask my insurance company leh..they also say never cover..haiz..just bad luck loh..but i never check with my company one. but my company very stingy one, sure dont have...

Porky, haha.. didn't koe TMC so blur one. if they really return u $618 den ur tan-tio liao. i signed package with Dr. Adrian but paid oni $275.. the additional i claimed was the $$ i spent on the vialibity scan $90+ n KKH 24hrs clinic abt $200+. most prob i will go back to my other gynea Dr. Adelina Wong at TMC for my next pregnancy. i didn't go to her earlier coz her charges is quite exp compared to thomson womens clinic and it's more convenient to go thomson womens clinic as they haf a branch at sengkang.
 
bluberi, ya loh so blur one. lucky they found out early..hey, i also seeing Dr Adrian at sengkang branch wor. i will still go back to him cos i find quite comfortable lah. i think spa and massage shd be ok. anyway, dr adrian say u are ok already right ?
 
Hello gals,
Just want to check if anyone experience long wait for 2nd AF to come after D&amp;C. My D&amp;C was in mid-April, 1st AF came 31st May, but now still no sign of 2nd AF. Anyone with similar experience?
 
Porky, my hubby n mum dun allow mi to do massage or spa when i go bkk in a mth's time. mi comfy with dr. adrian and dun mind gg back to him but my mum n mil wans mi to switch gynea. my mum said sometimes is we gt no fate with the gynea.. dunno wat theory is dat *roll eyes*

Bluberi, sorry to hear about ur loss but also glad that u are resolved to ttc again. All the best. Maybe better not to do spa when ttc in bk becoz no gd to be exposed to essence oil (effect on preg is unknown).

Snow, don't worry too much. If worry, got more stress and that is not helping in anycase and will weak immnue system that is really what u need when preg. Things sld be fine!

Pinkpixel, my 2nd AF after my 1 mc took 39 days to come. So its really our body taking its time to regulate hormones. But say give 2 more mths still can't regulate, can consider seeing a TCM...

Cheekz, my D&amp;C bills is the same as urs &amp; somemore can't claim medisave. And during my 1st mc, our gynae asked me how many days of leave I need, I asked him how many days do pple take and he told me 2 days. I really only took 2 days including d&amp;c day. Went back office on 3rd day felt the whole body invaded by the aircond. So asked for 2 more days. For my last mc, I dare not take health so lightly again!

Jappooh, hang in there..Maybe can find some place that u can steal an afternoon power nap?
 
pinkpixel, my 2nd cycle of AF came very accurate at 28days wor. slight cramps and normal flow only. but 3rd cycle went haywire..nearly 38days then reported. super heavy flow for 4days and intense cramps. do u have any symthoms ?

cheekz, i also trying hard to forget and start afresh. if preggy again, i will be super stress too..

bluberi, ic..my mil also ask me is it Dr Adrian dunno how to check..then anyhow say is m/c..faint...but i feel comfy with him lah. do not wan to change since he knw abt our history liao mah

bubbleteahut, u only take 2 days mc then went back to work ah..then how to do mini confinement wor..i feel weak and tired after d&amp;c. cos already few days did not sleep well when hear the bad news..after d&amp;c then can have better sleep..no mood to work also

my MS is getting slightly better but still there. It on and off and when it hit i will feel so terrible. Hope it will be over soon.

i cant help but worry cos now still cant feel much of bb movement yet so dunno how is the bb doing. Cos some ppl say even when bb no heartbeat anymore still can have MS one rite. Knw abt this make me worry again.

Hi all...

i am feeling very mixed now... i just tested positive.. its a faint yet obvious + sign. am thankful that by God's grace, its a +.. but on another hand, am feeling kind of lost and worried. cos am flying off for work to HK for 4 days tomorrow. ok, i shall lift it upon God's hand and trust him instead of worrying so much.

Jappooh - glad to hear it is getting better. remember ur chicken essence tonight! set alarm in your handphone, will be good reminder

14wks can feel bb move meh? i tot muz be over 4mths leh...

when my bb lose heartbeat, i dun feel the every 2-3hrs hunger animore. oni the boobs remained sore till tis few days den normal.

Congrats Aileen! u would be fine!

for my 1st kid i feel the kick when i was abt 4mths. This one i feel it the very 1st time when i am in wk 11. After that like cant feel much again. Maybe that time baby kick very very hard loh.

How many cycles have you tried after that incident to conceive? Any symptoms? I wish I can be like you...

Joyful - i waited for this 2nd AF before i started trying, so am thankful that i conceived rather quickly. i think people say aft DC, we are quite fertile.. no symptons at all, cos still early i guess... all the best to you too! hope to hear good news from u soon!
 
Hi all,

I'm new here. Decided to post after reading about medical insurance claim.

Most company insurance cover for accidental miscarriage up to $1,000. Which means can claim for D&amp;C expenses due to blightled ovum, missed abortion (bb heartbeat stopped). Can check with your HR on the medical insurance benefit schedule and you should be able to see eg: Room and board - $150, Surgical fees - $5,000, accidental miscarriage - $1,000 and etc.

Do note that D&amp;C done at private hospitals and clinics would require the Dr to fill up a section on the claim form. Some Dr charge a fee for it. This is for the insurance co to ensure that the D&amp;C was not for elective abortion.

My gynea filled it up for me when I had D&amp;C in Oct 07 at no charge.

So this is only your first try. That's good. So fast you conceive again. It's really a blessing. I am currently in DPO10. No symptoms at all, except for the pinkish spotting and ocassional cramps. I hope I can be like you soon. Your EDD is March I believed?

Jappooh, 11 weeks can feel BB kick ah ? thats fast man. but ppl always said 2nd BB will be more senstive to the kick. hehe.

ya but i only feel it once loh. So after that i dun feel it liao. So now sometime something going on in my stomach i dunno is bb move or my stomach have wind..haha..

So now i am still worried cos cant feel bb kick everyday yet.
 
check with ur ar, aft D&amp;C before 1st AF cycle.. is there any chance of ovulating? today feeling rather crampy all of a sudden.

I think you let your past experience affect you too much. I know sometimes it's beyond your control, but your emotion will affect your bb. Relax more ok? You are doing fine so far. Already past 1st trimester. Btw, is it going to be a Prince or Princess?

yes there will still be ovulation after your D&amp;C. There is a lady from this thread get preggie after her D&amp;C and b4 her 1st AF cycle. So teh chances are there.

Joyful - i am not sure on the EDD but i think should b March. i heard before on forum of someone who had a glob of pink discharge and was discovered pregnant so your chances are high too! keep us updated!

Thank you for being so positive for me. I tried for more than 1yr to get pregnant then lose it at 6 weeks. I always think I am not so lucky one. Now my spirit is high cos so near the end of 2ww but when AF comes, my mood go all the way down. Everymonth like roller coaster.. I tot one day I will wake up to feel cannot be bothered wif ttcing le.... But that day still not here.. Meanwhile, I continued to be tortured by all the trying and waiting... sigh... Only me being pregnant can solve my problem...
 
Jappooh, dr. adrian gave me medication Sunalut to take for 20days in order to make AF report coz i told him my AF super irregular. the previous time i had to take provera (any type of medication also to make AF report) before i started on clomid.
 
bluberi, u now how many weeks after d&amp;c ? ur cramps is it sign of AF coming ? i did not feel any cramps before 1st AF reported leh..

Porky, my D&amp;C is over for 15days liao.. i was told dat my AF will not report when i'm taking Sunalut wor.. but my cramps are getting worse nw and i feel as if something is flowing out. but juz nw i check gt nothing leh.

actually i hope for a princess cos i have a prince already. But when come to think of it prince also good cos like that maybe my 2 boys will be closer and can play the same type of things and share their thoughts loh. So end up i also dunno hope for boy or gal.

So tell myself, i will be happy no matter is boy or gal. Just wan to preg to be smooth and baby healthy loh.

i am like u have super irregular mense. But my AF still report on time after my miscarriage. Is more on the dote than my normal period. At 1st i also worried i didnt take clomid dunno when my 1st AF going to report. Eventually it report 4 to 5wks after my miscarriage.

Do you have those LH Surge sticks? You can see if you are ovulating. If yes, can bd today le.

For me, I din ovulate at all after the miscarriage. No LH surge at all although got cramps.. Was disappointed and started to think if the clomid has made me so reliant on it that I could not ovulate on my own.. Can anyone advise me on this?
