hi gillian, since u did nt went thru D&C, did ur gynae give u pills to prevent infection ? i do have more cramps for the 3rd cycle..but 1st & 2nd cycle after my D&C in feb is ok. not much cramps..dunno why the 3rd cycle feel more cramps..anyway this cycle is completed and i feel ok now. mayb u will want to see ur gynae for a scan and hope everything is fine then u can start ttc soon. take care.

Magpie, yes, im in 2ww now, but even before O, i still feel crampy too, sometime the cramp is a sharp pain that i will give a soft ouch, which i have never done that before my m/c... so, really duno wat had happened
Porky, nope, my gynae did not give me an medicine to expel out. just naturally... we only follow up closely on the blood test for hcg, no scanning after confirming that sac has been expelled, although at that time hcg level is still high..

magpie, im now DPO8.. expecting AF to come next thu or fri... if strike, i also scare of cramp.. coz cramp for my last pregnancy doesn't look good at all... hai... so ma fan hor... avocado, ya, i also feel that.. because the last scan my gynae did on me, sac was confirm gone but still having pregnancy activity at my right ovary... and now its always my right ovary feel pain... i scare i go over to the clinic, they think i da jin xiao gui, so better check with you all if this is normal

Hi Avocado, thanks for ur info on Misoprostol. Great that u asked ur gynae becoz I only heard abt this mtd after my d&c. Its quite depressing to know Singapore is still so primitive. Anyway, I heard fr my sis that she has an ex-col that went for an abortion at 6wks & her doc then gave her a pill to insert at cervix to induce a mc. She's lost touch wif tis col & it happened many yrs ago, so can't check again.
Don't thk that swimming dries up mucus fr my experience. But during my last preg, I tried to avoid due to incr risk of getting yeast infection. Even if not preg, I heard yeast infection can produce hostile mucus that kills sperm. Maybe don't hve to avoid swimming altogether but just make sure if got that itchy feel, go check with GP b4 ttc.

I had cramps when i was expecting which also ended up in miscarriage. But I still see this as a sign of pregnancy. Cramps can be normal.
Anyway, these days, sometimes I have experienced tightednss in my tummy and sometimes a bit of pulling. It cannot be implantation cos me only DPO4.

ya, actually i wanted to look for another gynae, but thinking that this current one has all my record. so if to look for another one, might have to feed him or her with alot of information, and scare i miss out anything. maybe i give myself sometime to monitor my pain, if still the same, then i will go back on my next cycle..
avocado, after my miscarriage, i turn down a few intimate moment coz wanted to give my womb sometime to rest. did not angry with him for the miscarriage because its the first time i saw tears in his eye when i was crying like mad after knowing the sac wasn't growing. i can see that he is equally upset and also trying hard to console me etc.. although i know that my health has no problem at all, whereas he has low sperm count etc

Last time,i used to tink like u..lazy to chg gynae.However,I realise my previous gynae who i've stick to him fr 5yrs,can't provide the kinda diagnose n tests which i wanna.I went to c 5gynaes fr my 3rd preggie...These gynae kept asking me why didn't my previous gynae did any test to my 1st m/c...he shld at least perform some basic test.
Imagine i repeated my medical history to these 5gynaes.I brought along all my medical records:Xray,blood tests....Now i finally found a gynae who i'm comfortable wf,despite all the hassle tat i gone thru.
Despite i've been seeing my previous gynae fr 5yrs,i still hv to repeat my medical history to him bcoz he has so many patients n he might not remember my history.I tink he oso didn't bother to flip thru my medical records.Each time i visited him,i've to briefly tell him my medical history again.since in this case,i might as well go for another gynae.
Now our lives is back to normal,don't feel like bringing the topic of my m/c,or else,it'll upset everyone...We r oso waiting for the chromosome result,then decide wat to do next.

Hi Avocado, actually I also love swimming and not being able to swim due my concerns is like having hands tied up. I also like to eat sashimi a lot...and when I can finally hve a successful preg or reach 40 and had to give up ttc, I will swim and eat sashimi everyday!..heeee..
But must take care and not overstrain ur becoz during preg, the hormones loosen our joints to prepare and if u still have some of those hormones left, u r more vulnerable to injuries. So take care.

And for avoiding hubby, we decided to avoid sex for at least 1 mth after D&C so no such headache. Also, 4 my case, hubby is the victim plus like gillian, I also saw him cry for the 1st time for both my mcs. So I am the so called "baddie". But I still believe ur hubby dotes on u and u two hve a great product (ur son) together and that is living proof. What ur r feeling is a common syndrome fr some experiences I read becoz intimacy reminds u of loss. So u will pass it k..

My AF is super heavy this time round. With big lumpy clots, quite similar to what I had after I gave birth (altho in lesser quantity). The cramps are terrible. I didn't get this after DnC or the 1st cycle after that.

I wonder why some periods are just heavier than others? I don't really care in the past, but now I am wondering why?

hi cheekz, same as me..mine 3rd cycle also very clotty/lumpy and lots of painful cramps..heavy flow for 4 whole days then 5th day only spotting. i thot if still heavy flow until 5th day i wanna see gynae liao..lucky it stop completely on 7th day. i hope u are fine. try to bear with it. drink warm water might help to ease the cramps. it does for me..take care
Hi ladies.. mi juz had M/C on 14jun after bb suddenly lost heartbeat at 8wks+... bb still ok on 13jun. did D&C on 17jun, so fast two weeks past liao. nt sure when AF will report coz mine was super irregular, so my gynea prescibed mi with Sunalut to take for 20days to regulate AF.
nt sure if i shd start to TTC on tis round of AF. when i asked him before D&C, he said i shd TTC on 2nd cycle of AF. TCM doc said the same.. but last week he said i can TTC on the coming AF which is oni the 1st cycle. rather confused nw.

hi bluberi, sorry to see u here..and yes. i do agree that time pass very fast after D&C. my gynae also suggest that i TTC after 2nd cycle of AF. however, after the 1st cycle, he give me green light to TTC already. he scan and say i am ok to TTC so i just go ahead. as for BD, if ur bleeding stop then shd be ok. take care ger.
Porky, my gynea said can TTC on 2nd AF cycle leh, nt after 2nd AF cycle (u mean as in the 3rd AF cycle?). but nw since gynea said i can go ahead to TTC on tis 1st AF cycle.. i'm quite tempted to do so.. but i doubt will be so lucky to strike with juz one try again. my hubby nt keen to even BD nw.. he said he will BD oni when when i ovulate during 2nd AF cycle. i koe hubby is hoping my body can take tis period recover than BD but i told him we can both be monk n nun liao if we really BD oni during 2nd AF cycle. lol

bluberi, yes my gynae also say i can try immediately after 1st AF is completed. that means still not start of 2nd cycle, i already can TTC. u can strike also even if ur 1st AF did not report. we have successful case here. hehe. but is best to allow ur body to rest first before BD lah..if u feel ur body is ready, then u can go ahead. for me, we also monk and nun for 3months. (after know preggy then lost and D&C...) take care

I would like to know that if baby heartbeat stop at 8-12 weeks. What syptom do we face? Bleeding only. Or nothing is occur until we saw the gyne?
If stop, will they perform abortion system to take out the baby?

hi snow, there is no stupid questions here. we share and encourgae each other. did u stop ur medication once u know u are pregnant ? to be frank, there is no symthoms sometimes when bb stop heartbeat. for me, i am ok for 1 whole week. and even get all the preggy symthoms like normal. then spotting for few hours..scarly doct scan and say my bb is gone..dunno how to react..my gynae suggest D&C to wash the womb. cos he worried too much bleeding will occur if i opt for natural m/c. so i just go ahead. come in and chat with u if u have the time. is best to say it out then keep inside ur heart. take care.

For those who had read about the past threads.. i had a D&C done on 02 July last year, cannot detect heartbeat at 8 weeks and HCG level keep going down...
Very very sad cos its my first pregnancy and kept on blaming myself... luckily the gals are very supportive and listened to my woes and sorrows...and thats how i managed to get thru...
I'm now a mother of a pair of identical twin babes so i hope my story and experience will help those who are depressed and have little confidence in conceiving again...
My gynae said can BD after 2 weeks of D&C but TTC only at the 3rd cycle. However, i decided to 'bu' myself so went to visit a TCM and took his medication which is to 'bu' also to regulate my AF. He advise not to BD for the next 54 days and after which i can TTC liao, which is only my 2nd AF.
I prefered to listen to the TCM as i anxiously wanted to make up for the loss. I was very fortunate to conceive again in Oct'07.
I also went back to my same gynae (after alot of deliberation) and he gave me injections every weeks till i gave birth...

I'm now a mother of a pair of identical twin babes so i hope my story and experience will help those who are depressed and have little confidence in conceiving again...
My gynae said can BD after 2 weeks of D&C but TTC only at the 3rd cycle. However, i decided to 'bu' myself so went to visit a TCM and took his medication which is to 'bu' also to regulate my AF. He advise not to BD for the next 54 days and after which i can TTC liao, which is only my 2nd AF.
I prefered to listen to the TCM as i anxiously wanted to make up for the loss. I was very fortunate to conceive again in Oct'07.
I also went back to my same gynae (after alot of deliberation) and he gave me injections every weeks till i gave birth...

Porky, i had to stress to my hubby many times dats it's ok to BD n TTC den he agreed to it. the bkk trip was planned before i got preggie. tot was a chance to get bb clothes in bkk, nw is to R&R and TTC again.

ya, i also no warning when bb lost heartbeat until i went for scanning aft my 2nd spotting. oni had really bad cramps.

I do stop the medinincial once i found out that i am prgenant. To make the story short and simply. This is how it goes:
I confirm took one the medinice on the 19th April and stop. Mense come on 21st april. I think on the 2nd or 15th May I took one again and stop. ( not sure do I took on 15th a not). Then 18th May dark brown discharge maybe due to implant bleeding. ( I thought is Mense) But 21st I test I was pregnant.
The medince which i was taking and was advise to stop for one month before geting pregnant.
Can you tell advise me what to do

btw, i had brown spotting before i found out there's no heartbeat...was ordered bedrest but i was not a good gal... went to vacumm somemore then found out i got red spotting..
D&C = Dilation and cuttage ( not so sure of spelling but it's a kind of operation to remove the embroy inside)
BD = baby dance (make love)

snow, u wun feel a thing as u will be asleep during D&C. i didn't feel any pain when i wake up aft D&C though i was prescibed with painkillers. was bleeding for abt 2-days den spotting for abt a wk.
i did mine at TMC.. it cost $998.89 in which $620 (doc fee can be paid by medisave), bal $378.8 to be paid by our own. muz pay $500 deposit upon admission. i was admitted at 7am n discharged at 10.15am.
u can also claim $480 fm ur medisave for the antenatal package (remember to bring all receipts) which is used to offset the bal $378.89. they will refund the balance of the $480 if any is left by cheque in 3wks time with the $500 deposit.
btw, i was given 10days hospitalisation leave.

bluberi, mayb ur hb do not wan to BD or TTC now is cos he is worried abt your body. guys do not know how to express themselves very well. dont get the wrong idea that he does not love u ok ? hehe. my hb also feel sad abt our lost. and refused to BD with me too..at first i thot he blame me..(cos i go to wash toilet when i got spotting...) after that he told me is that he wan me to rest my body first before we start TTC again. feel so touch after hearing that..

i am back to work yesterday. Was forcing myself to work. Have very bad headache but paisei to go and take MC again. Now cant wait for 6pm another 3 hrs to go. I keep feel giddy on and off endup i dun wan to leave my desk at all.

ur DnC cost about the same as mine...actually, i didn't realise it was so ex until my fren told me that hers is only $600...
do u know why some places is more? mine was done @ the clinic by my gynae. My fren also the same but diff gynae.
