How long can the uterine lining wait before it loses its effectiveness after scratching? if it still has not come, why not try taking medication to make it come?
Dr said the duration of endo scratch is not known.
Dr wants this FET to be as natural as possible, that's why we opt for not transferring immediately after ER and do natural FET instead. Thus I'm not keen to take medicine to make it come.

My AF went haywire this time round, but probably due to my fresh cycle (no transfer) and not the endo scratch, bcos my previous endo scratch did not affect my cycle. ...

This time round, i was spotting for around 1 week after the scratch, now i wonder if that was my AF, a very light one.

Hi hi, my previous endo scratch did not affect my af but this time round was different. I was spotting for abt 2 days after the endo scratch and stop but after a few days I start spotting again and very light too. I believe this is my af but it was so so light that I dun noe whether I can proceed with my fresh cycle or not.

Call kkh n they want to have full bleed then inform them...R u with kkh? Did u inform them abt ur situation?

ya :) she stayed with me during 2ww... lucky!

LOL u won't believe it... but I actually used up all my pads during the cycle just before i started ivf and refused to buy more as a symbolic gesture of faith that it'd work out.... :)
Whahahaha... i taking that as a sign... cos my pads are finishing soon... so next cycle for me will be bfp!

I'm with KKH, have not called the hotline since I do not intend to induce AF with meds.

I slept with aircon on because of haze. well you can adjust to a comfortable temp and still sleep in aircon, so is nice won't be too warm or cold!

Can la dear... Singapore don't sleep with aircon can die, especially with the annual gift from our friendly neighbour.

I think it refers to internal body temperature. Initially I took to wearing long pants and sweaters around my air-con house (no choice cos of the haze). My mom saw and ask why I so cold. I told her I doing so to keep my body warm for baby's implantation... she laughed and laughed and laughed.

But eh, don't play play, BFP in the end can! lol

So, moral of the story? Aircon is perfectly fine. Just wear long sleeves to keep yourself comfortably warm - comfortably being the key word =)

Good luck!

Last time I always bought limited supply pads and hope that i wont use this for the next 9 months. For my last round of menses, I used up all my pad prior to first Ivf.
Did i just start another new pad trend? TaoKay start trend of giving away, I start trend of finishing it! lol!

For those who did intralipid infusion, can I know how do you know you need it? How would you know your body has an anti immune system that would attack the fertilised embryo? Is there a blood test that you can do to find out? How much does that cost and when do you do it? Thanks in advance.

Interesting! I like to know too.

Sistas DawnBB n towkayneo, would u know?

My Dr says There is no scientific evidence that it is useful, but no harm either. I'm not sure whether there is any related test. It has to be done around 1 week prior to transfer. Around $200+ at Dr Loh's clinic. I've initially made an appt but got to cancel it as my FET will be much later than estimated.

Even I sleep with aircon still sweat. Like hot flash. Maybe coz of the tummy warmer and socks.

@mesara how are you feeling? I woke up this morning, stomach felt like kanna punched ..quite aching kind. Still having brown spotting sigh...
I cramping mildly then got pain at back hand all come and go. Don't knw what's happening also gal. Just be positive and hold on ok. Our embbies are in us and we have to have faith in them till the end. We are pupo...pregnant until proven otherwise. :)

Hugs @Celestialbaby. We just have to keep trying. I did intralipid but I did not do any nk cells test. I read in the forum that it aids fertility and saw went to Dr loh and requested for it. It helped me bfp twice I think.

Sister dearie, u google "intralipid ivf" you will find clinical papers & opinions about use of intralipid therapy. As with HappyPeanuts' post, Dr Loh's position is that this treatment is not harmful (note unless u are allergic to eggs & soy) and reasonable cost at a small fraction of total ivf cost, as such he does not require his patient to test +ve APA or NKC level to apply this therapy. Cases of autoimmune issues affecting implantation or pregnancy are really rare so not suggested as a requirement to test prior to ivf treatments.

Dr Loh would suggest his patients who got BFN or m/c in first cycle to try intralipid in subsequent cycles. Only if repeated m/c yet cannot be resolved with intralipid then required to test as there is proven high incidences of high APA & NKC activity in women with repeated m/c. He will then refer such patients to Dr Choolani clinic which specializes in autoimmune tests & treatments.

After BFN for first cycle, I had intralipid for my subsequent cycles. I was not required to do before transfer and had it only after transfer same day. No side effects and costs about $200. I intend to do it also for next FET too.

So how's the procedure when dr loh did the intralipid for you?
The infusion is in liquid form (looks like milk) and administered intravenously. Dr Loh or his partner doc (who is available in morning at his O&G Specialist Clinic) will perform the intravenous injection and connect to the bottle via tube and the liquid feeds into your body like drip. You just sit at the clinic waiting for drip to feed about 100ml or amount according to Dr Loh's memo. 100ml roughly takes about 20-30min.

Celestial agree with dawnbb. Dr Loh mentioned to me that intralipids cost only 200 dlr and no harm to drip. If you take the blood test it is also going to cost few hundred dollar. The drip is once before ET, once BFP and two weeks after BFP.

Oh and I drip few times and each time the drip timing is different. I asked nurse and she explained that cos our veins opened differently each time and some of the time liquid just flow faster thus shorter amount of time needed. The dosage is actually the same.

Many thanks sis to explain in details! I could consider the intralipid for my next cycle. :)

Hello everyone, can check how long shld we do double boil for the chicken breast or black chicken? Not sure if I have missed any message.
Anyone can advice ?

Hi ladies, just did ER this morning, still feeling crampy at the area, wonder how long it's going to last..managed to retrieve 14, which was lesser than 17 that were previously retrieved from my first fresh cycle..sigh hopefully the quantity can be compensated by the quality of the eggs..tentatively ET will be on Monday..

Hi Sistas, I remember reading somewhere that our body might produce a kind of hormone that might reject implantation. Can someone pls provide more detail about what this is and what treatment or procedure we can do to help in implantation. TIA
hi think is it 'prolactin'? My case my proluctin level it was pretty high at about 700. I always have had very nice looking embryos and linings but then suffered lostsa early miscarriages in 1st trimester or just implantation fail--slight slight positive lines then thereafter af came. Nuh prof wong gave a pill carbergoline to lower it down. 2 small pills costs ard $70..only took 1.5 of it (over a period of 3 weeks-1/2 pill once a week prior to the fresh cycle and my level went to below 20!

Hi lambi! I m also with prof wong. How did u found out abt prolactin?

Prof wong din mention i need this.. i had 2 failed ivf cycles...

cos i miscarriaged many times and i asked another doc for a series of blood tests, from there they said my proluctin high but they(another hospital/doc) refused to give me any medication to lower down despite me researching and read that it is important. Then that cycle of course fail despite really good embryos and such. Then when i changed to prof, i mentioned to him this and he straight away asked to retake my test and same thing the level is almost the same high and from there he jotted down the prescription without me asking! Perhaps you can ask if they did this blood test before prior to your cycle? If not can request to prof?

just to add, i think for pre ivf blood tests are the usual normal ones like 'HIV, Hep B' this prolactin test is not included. Personally i feel tests like this should be included as we only hv 3 chances and it took me so long to get to pinpoint this ..after so much 'YUAN WANG LU' (unnecessary long route).

I only had minor cramp in the endo scratch day, no significant pain after that. Spotting for few days. If u r with KKH, probably you wd like to call the hotline tomorrow.
Thanks for your advice. I think I started feeling better from Tuesday. So 1 week of cramps. I am much better now. Im with private so I was worried. If i had done with KKH I think I would feel more secure..

U did ur endo scratch at day 12? I thought shld be 1 week before AF? Same as HappyPeanuts I only have spotting after that. U might want to call the clinic to check. R u with KKH?

Thanks Lambi for sharing. The intralipid therapy is meant to be helpful in case for those who may hv high APA or NKC which may though rarely hampers implantation and causes high risk of miscarriage. The prolactin issue is not the same and it's seems a concern too. Didn't know about it before so really thanks for sharing. May I know on which cycle day did you do the blood test for prolactin? I checked my D2 baseline hormone blood test result done before ivf, it does include prolactin. Can this be relied or do we need more tests?

I cannot remember which day i did the test though..hmm since your test did include and doc didn't say anything means yours should be ok ba?

Dearie, must stay positive & root for your eggies & embies. Now focus on getting body ready for ET. Eat healthy, include more protein rich foods, keep well hydrated and hv good rest. All the best. Jia you!

Thanks sista. Yes, my doc did put a tick on the report against the prolactin result along with the other hormones which are also ok, so guess it has been checked. I just found some doc info online about high prolactin, a few also mentioned the same treatment drug, ie. Cabergoline, which your Prof Wong prescribed for you. Sharing some good reads so sisters who are concerned can find out more and ask doc if needed
