Annie,
My DH used to have strong objection. I just nagged and nagged. Tell him to see the difference himself.
There was a period that I made Lionel wake up 10 mins earlier in the morning so that I could practise his violin with him. The improvement was tremendous and DH saw it.
A lot of things need constant practice. Cannot practise once and hope that the kids can pick up the skills themselves. They need us to guide them.
My relatives kept telling me it's a pity to be a SAHM cos my parents spent so much on my education. I should contribute to the society, etc, etc. Haha. . I told them teaching and grooming Lionel is also a way of contributing to the society. His success is my success. Kekeke. . . .think they buah tahan me. . .
With me not working, not much difference to DH, but a lot to me cos I won't have a single cent of savings. Need to trim down on HK, holidays, shopping habits, etc.
Ha3el,
You are right. We need to emphasize on character building, which I find is lacking in a lot of kids.
MB/Ha3el,
Really glad to find frens who are supportive here. Most of my family members have strong objections. Some frens don't understand why we can sacrifice so much for the kids, especially when I only have one.
