hihi, i also want to know the answer of rainy question. Anybody can answer coz i see Dr Lim for 1st consultation only.

Still waiting blood test, urine test & pap smear test result come out. Maybe Friday will have report.
 


Will clinic call us when test results are out? We had our tests done on 19 Nov but still didn't hear from the clinic.

I think you need to call and ask loh. Maybe they forget to call you. My test is on 26/11/11. Nurse say maybe report come out on Friday. Normally, 1 week the result will come out.

Ah Ching - don't know leh, the nurse didn't mention. I guess if everything ok no need to purposely make a trip to see doc. Next appointment with him can ask him.
 
Hi, Just to share.
I got my test result. Nurse told me it seems ok. So I went to see Dr Lim. Then I got to know from Doctor that my DH SA's results were not good. So DH started the cooling measures. Not sure if he needs to get SA again. He is taking B12, Folic Acid and Vitamin E now.
I remembered i also paid for the consultation for the test results.
 
yanlin-wat r the cooling measures taken by yr hubby? only taking the supplements? hw long to take the supplements b4 can embark on IUI?
hw much u pay each time u go for scan? hw many scans u went b4 Dr Lim starts the IUI procedure for u?

I only do SO-Natural. We never thought of SO-IUI. So i am unsure.
Cooling measure are those the nurse given u during your first visit.
 
From previous tests, we are aware that my hb's SA are not good. He will need to go for another test when my menses approached.
 
His previous tests were ordered by other doctors and some time back already. So need to redo to check the latest condition.
 
coyote, how long ago did yr hubby take the test? if our tests were taken 3 mths ago, do u tink Dr Lim will tell us to retake again?
 
Rainy, more than a year. When you go and see doc, bring along all your medical history reports to him. He doesn't mind to go through everything. Even my annual health checks I also brought along. After assessing, he will tell you what are the tests he need you to do. Bring along hsg X-ray film too if you have done that.
 
I went to the clinic this morning. Waited for 2 hours. Got some medications. Now I have to rest more and take things easily..
Got to visit to Dr Lim next Thursday with DH.

I was so embarrasing during the doc consulation.
LOL. It was fun. There are a lot of couples managed to conceived. The couple before me has IVF treatment and got twins.
There are a lot of Indonesian Chineses there today. I think i m the only local there. LOL

Dr lim's clinic is only open in the morning? i thot pte clinic opens full day leh. so wat does he do in the afternoon?
if he's only seeing patients in the morn, then i hv to think twice abt seeing him cos my workplace quite far from mount e & morn is quite difficult for me to take time off

Can I check with you all.. What is the first consultation is all about and how much is the cost?

Welcome to this thread. If you don't have any test report previously, Dr Lim will do a uterus scan and ovary scan for you and check also you DH. You will do some minor test like pap smear, urine and blood test. your DH will do SA test. Dr Lim also will explain detail he Plan to you.

I also don't know how much the first consulation cost coz i forget to ask the receipt. Will try to get receipt tmr from nurse coz my DH will do SA test.

My dh and I have done some tests before. Will bring all the reports along. Actually, I was with another gynea and did a lapascopy for ovarian cysts in mar this year. We sticked to him after which but still no news. Sigh.. Hoping we can have some good news after seeing dr lim.
 
i also spent almost $900. My first consultation fee are $200. Don't know it is same or depend the time of consultation.
 
Hi Saralyn, for my 1st visit i spent $700+ including blood tests. my hb didn't redo his SA test and that saved us $100+. here are some breakdown:

1st visit consultation: $200
1st visit scan: $100
Sub. visit consultation + scan: $75

Actually his charges are considered reasonable, due to his expertise and experiences. If you strike on the first cycle on Plan A, why not?

I place full trust on him, as he is really know what he is doing for us.
 
Yup.. Infact I think his subsequent visit is reasobable! I don't mind spending as long as he can help me..

Hi ladies! Been tcc for #2 for a year and no luck. my dd was striked on the 2nd try.

Went bk to my gynae and did all the test (hsg,sa,hormones test) and results are all normal.. She can't find anything wrong with me. Except hsg shows that I have a retroverted uterus.. She say If I can conceive my dd, this time also can..
I saw dr Charles lim has v good reiew, and would like to seek a second opinion about my problem... I'm currently 25( I know still young.) but my girl is 2 now. I hope to maintain the 2-3 yrs gap for #2

Need to ask u gers. After your B12 vits have finished, do you replenish it from Dr Lim's clinic or u got it from drugstores?

Oh.. rainy.. i asked his nurse about the time.. dr lim doesnt see patient in the afternoon.. Only on some days, his last patient will be at 1:30pm - 2pm..
 
Hi All, I m finally pregnant! Thanks to dr Charles and all of your support. Pass lots of baby dust to you all.... I tested 4 times to confirm. Just can't believe the fact I got the positive test! Something to share with you all, follow whatever dr lim says, if can try to monitor closely. Keep very very very calm mood ESP from ovulation on wards.. U fell loved, and u must always trust that you can do it, because you have dr lim. Trust me, this will works. No coffee, no tea, no cold drinks, no cooling stuffs and most importantly, pray hard with your Husband. This will helps. We prayed together at novena church. It's a catholic church. For non catholic, you can try too. It really works! Relax and be good to your hubby. This will help. Decorate your room into a romantic setting, this will help the orgasms and use pressed. Good luck to all of you. Sorry, didn't update the news last week, coz dr lim still haven't confirm yet. But positive test and going to see the water bag tml morning. Wil update you all again.
 


Dragon hopes, now I m really tired. Back pain, cramps, pulling sensations and luckily, no metformin from Friday onwards. I decided not to go for exams as I can sit for 3 hours in the exam hall. I m 5 weeks Peggie now and my tummy are really heavy. Changed all my bras and undies to maternity bra, coz very sore breast. You must jia you too. Remember not to argue with ur dh, very important. Try for one more month, always remember dh sweet things that he had for you. You take care too.
