yah, took hcg jab 2 days prior to iui.
and on day of iui, had a progesterone jab too to prevent all the cramps.

in wat case will ur gynae ask u to do IUI or isit u requested? were u on clomid as well? me on clomid Cycle 2 and if try is unsuccessful, then mense should come between 20- 23rd.

i had a mc in 2007 dec and since then unable to conceive naturally.
15mths is too long a wait, and we decided to review our fertility status again.i should have follow-up last aug with gynae but was having faith every month that next mth, i'll be preggy.

gynae and myself both suggested iui, thou gyne advise to be on clomid and try naturally.
since i've paid a hefy sum, might as well add on $400+ more to optimize our chance.

first iui - full clomid cd 2-7
2nd iui(yesdae) - clomid cd2-5, puregon cd7-9

talk to you gynae and seek his opinions on best course for you.

I am not sure what D2 hormone test. According to the gyne, I did ovulation test and hormone test. All normal, except for 1 blockted tube.

i totally understand where u are coming from months upon months going through the roller coaster ride.... i dun feel good as well... Lets JIA YOU!! i guess with this if we are preg, we will be treasuing the kids more than many of others.... i m on CD 2-6.. what is puregon?
 
puregon is a jab that will sustain follicle growth till o day.(as explain by gynae. i didnt do research)
last iui, my follicle respond well to clomid, CD11 at 14mm, however cd13 oli 15+, somehow growth slowed.
this cycle, i requested to gynae to put me on puregon to enhance continous growth. very good result, cd9, alread 16mm!but side effect, wall lining thins, and it causes nauseous and bloatedness.
gues have to give and take.

probably i have to much medication intake compard to other girls. feel so bloated and giddy now.
will take a short nap, thou am working from home.jialat.

how long have u been trying? yah we will definatlel treasure our bb more.

i login see you all posts, but nothing to contribute leh.. not much to update too... i'm currently in my 27 weeks.. last sat maybe did too much housework in a row, got abit of spotting.. called gynae's clinic n was told to rest more n monitor.. will see gynae tmr, hopefully evrything's okay.

i'm also a tough nut to react to clomid. took clomid from 1 tablet to 3 tablets, up to 6 cycles still not successful. i'm also a PCOS patient w irregular menses... then i took a break n went for TCM n acupuncture. then after half year, went back to gynae again, thats when i accidentally conceived before starting any medicine again... so don't be so depressed n give up so soon. good luck!

u jus started with clomid only, doesn't mean u won't ovulate. there's sure a way for u to ovulate, but u'r just going step by step in terms of $$ costings. N thanks for the well wishes. u will join motherhood soon. have faith!cheers.

Hi everyone! As you can see I'm new to this board. Am currently in the midst of my 2ww too and reading all your postings helped to make me feel less lonely in this wait.
Had my 1st IUI 2 days ago and had been TTC for 2yrs+.

ceraine: I did encounter some brownish discharge after IUI but I wonder if it's due to the "friction" on the cervix when the catheter was inserted.

would like to find out if anyone's using Utrogestan (Progesterone) 100mg for vaginal route?
which part of the day were you asked to insert it? thx.

I'm not on clomid. I only took the GonaIF jab (equivalent to puregon) to stimulate follicle growth. cldn't make it to iui coz DH not ard. But tried naturally after hcg jab. Tat's Y i dun hold high hopes that tis cycle will succeed. Now on duphaston to strengthen womb.

But somehow my appetite is better now.

since it was my 1st time, it didn't occur to me that this doesn't seem to be the usual practice.
but i did read somewhere that you suffer less side effects (e.g. nausea) via the vaginal route as compared to taking it orally. correct me if i'm wrong.

i don't feel any different except for some mild cramps on my left ovary after iui. wonder if i should feel "something" at all...

my ms still very very bad. i am like living in hell.. it is so unbearable and my mood is in rooller coaster. went for appt ytd, bb is at 22mm now. edd is just 4 days apart from catmon. going for oscars next month liao. then i am officially into 2nd trim. i hope ms will subside or at least become mild.. *pray*

I had very minimal spotting aft IUI for the first day...but the nurse told me say its normal. Unless if it's heavy bleeding, then not okie.

I'm also in my 2ww post IUI..today DPO12.
But I got a feeling AF coming liaos...feeling the AF cramps.

This cycle has been a real roller coaster for me.
Ever since I started the puregon jabs, up to the IUI and into the 2ww...I've been feeling very moody, bad tempered, easily agitated, very irritable....

Anyone experience that?? Think its hormonal in balance...
Poor DH..keep asking what's wrong with me...

So, does this means i can take some kind of jab but choose to try naturally first instead of going for SO-IUI?
 
crafty, this one is natural. actually i only BD-ed on my perceived fertile period. think Day 15, 17 and 18. din use the bbt or the ovulation stick. so am quite surprised myself.

clover, thanks thanks. yeah. was a bit worried cos for no.1, detected heartbeat at 4 weeks!

All the jabs give me sore boobs and crazy moods...
I can be laughing and feeling happy this second ..and suddenly feel so frustrated and irritated..

I also have hot flushes after taking the clomid....

GonaIF has the same effect as puregon, which is jab to grow the follicles to a matured size b4 the egg is released. I had the same tot as you earlier, ie jab and try naturally. But gynae say chances are slim. So if you jab, you should be taking the so-iui route. However, due to unforseen circumstances, i took the jab without going thru iui, but got to try naturally.

normally i will experience abdominal pain but this month nothing just sore boobs.. so dunno if its a good sign.... crossing my fingers read hard man...

Utrogestan is actually Progesterone (it's just the brand name i think or its the microionized version).

if my IUI's done on the 13th, does this mean today's DPO3? i'm a little confused since the ovulation's kind of affected by the HCG jab right?

my follicles responded well to clomid. the 1st scan on CD9 showed at least 4 of size 12-15mm. the 2nd scan on CD11, i think 2 of which grew to 19-20mm. as the following day was a Sunday, i told to get a GP to do the jab for me on CD11 (Sat) 9-10pm for the IUI 36hours later, which is CD13. prior to the procedure, the scan showed 2 unruptured follicles so doc gave me another jab after the IUI.

i'm just wondering if the earlier 19-20mm follicles detected on CD11 would have ruptured (i.e. egg released) before the procedure. hence, leaving the egg waiting until CD13 for IUI

i tink it depends on ur gynae's assessment. Of course u can go thru many times, but it's the hefty costs that totalled up. With tat total cost, one might just embarked on ivf to secure a higher chance. so-iui and ivf target at diff problems. My understanding is that the former is to help spermies to reach their destination at specific timing and they do their job; while the latter screens for quality spermies and eggs to ensure fertilisation by human intervention b4 placing back inside womb.
