i am using the aden & anais swaddles. they are quite airy, good for use in SG. day time as i dont switch on the aircon, I use 1 layer to swaddle with fan. i only switch on aircon at night. at nite bb sleeps longer before crying for the next feed.

if bb struggle, u can check if its becoz bb needs to burp. mine sometimes will suddenly cry or struggle when sleeping. then must quickly carry up and burp, after that pat a while then fall back asleep again. u can try using a pacifier if bb is cranky, sometimes they just feel like sucking something.

hope this helps ! :)
I use swaddleme but very hot. Won't bb break out of Adnais swaddle? Mine Moro reflex very strong.

Hang in there! If u find yourself crying and having scary thoughts towards baby everyday, despite having some relief from baby... Do seek some help ok? ;) just couple of weeks ago I felt pretty emotional out of the blue. I guess for some, our hormones just need some time to settle. Don't blame yourself.

I use the Love to Dream swaddle and it's amazing. Only problem is that without the swaddle baby can't sleep well at night. Haha. But I'll tackle one problem at a time. It helps with Moro reflex cos the baby can sleep with hands in W position. You can go google bout it!

I tried the Love to Dream swaddle lite version too. It does help prevent the baby from waking up so often from the startle reflex. It's better than the usual zipped swaddle cos baby has more room to move the arms. Only problem is I will have to turn on aircon to use this swaddle cos it's a bit warm fory boy when we turn off aircon. Material is quite light for our climate. I used this as a swaddle when I bring baby out. Especially useful in first two months for my boy.

Did any of you shave your baby's hair? Do you need to bring to special hair salons specialising in kid's haircut or normal salon? Noticed my boy has lost some hair at the sides so thought of bringing him for a shave/trim. Any advice?

Just got my prince hair shaved. We made a brush using his baby hair (they say its special cos the end is thinner...) from the way they shave it looks pretty normal from how adult shave... only diff is the one shaving needs to be very patient.. so i guess looking for 1 hairdresser who is extremely patient will get the job done?

Looks like most of us have a hard time letting our baby sleep in the afternoon or through the night. I was almost going crazy Coz my baby wakes the min she touch the bed or cot so I have to carry her or let her sleep on my chest. Very tiring plus she cries quite often and super loudly. And she had a lot of phlegm and wheezing sound which wake her from sleep too. I got so angry a few times I think I set her down on bed a little too hard then I quickly pass to my mom in case anger got the better of me. Really depressed on some days. My gal doesn't like to be swaddled and she gets startled so easily that she keeps waking up

My husband is working overseas so I don't have to handle him luckily but means baby is handled by me alone most of the times :(

anyone of you intending to bring your little one for a swim in a few months time when they are bigger?

I am sourcing around for swimwear and found that Konfidence babywarma seems to have rave reviews for keeping the baby warm in the pool. Saw that it is selling at Isetan and mothercare for $64.

Am thinking of spreeing directly from UK. Based on current exchange rates, including shipping if there are at least 7 orders its about SGD39 to spree direct instead of buying locally @ SGD64

Anyone keen to join? If keen, I will set up a thread in the forum Spree Section with the details.

Spreeing 1 batch only because I want to buy it for my baby. Will close batch and place orders when there are at least 7 orders.

Aaaaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhh!!! Just need to rant!!!!!

Many mummies would be like me... going back to work soon... and becos my prince now got so used to latch (successfully ditch the bottle few weeks back) he is rejecting the bottle... MIL has issues trying to take care of him alone at home but keep insisting she is OK... (cos she just ask me to bottle feed him while she has her lunch.... today i am ard... but what happen if i m back at work?) With me trying bottle feed him, it confirm fail! He smelt the milk..
Keep trying to pull my shirt... **heartpain** double the pain when u tell him u b going back work n he cry even louder!!!!

We all know babies cry and cry will till slp one ma... MIL can come in tell me he not hungry... just want to slp... i was like? WHAT?? U KIDDING ME?? He has all the hunger cues and i told her before what are the hunger cues... nvm... the worst came in... she happily took the bottle and try to feed again when he is sleeping juz to prove that she is right!!!

Crying and feeding him (latching) as i m typing this... (babies cries are the most stressed sound ever.. never understand hw some people can still smile and take videos send to people before passing to mummy to settle) wish i could send him to someone more experienced (yes she took care of hubby when he younger... but now... it seems pretty sure she not very competent to take care of my prince) but constrained...

baby can sense our unhappiness, so try to be happy around yr prince.
so you are staying with mil even after confinement?
how abt going back to your mother place n stay for some days too?
and do u ask ur mil to take note of his milk & diaper intake?
it will let u have a better understanding if baby is really eating well..

Hi Junetns,

My bb drinks mostly 120 ml per feed and occasionally his feeds are also drag to 4-5.5 hrs then I will give 150ml Sometimes he cries after 120ml...

How much do you give your bb?

I'm looking at placing my 3mths old gal at Zion infant care at ARC alexandra. Anyone has any feedback on this or intention to do the same?

Hi... Has anyone gone for the 3rd month vaccination and assessment? During then, my girl didn't turn to my voice or sound of rattle at all.. Zits making me very worried.. Any of you have experienced this also? Did your LO 'pass' it at the 4th month?

When I blow raspberry beside her ear, she will turn and get this shocked look for the first time but subsequent times I think she's ignoring my attempts to make her respond to sounds..just very worried if she really cannot hear or not..

Has she done the hearing test after she came out? If done and passed.. there nothing to worry... some bb development is slower.. and response to sound abit slower... or either she searching for the sound where it comes frm...

Hi all

My baby weighs 6.3kg, 3mths plus now. I used to give her 105ml FM every 2.5 hours about 8x a day. Recently increase to 120ml , is it too much ? My two friends keep telling me their baby who is about 10mths drinking 100-120ml too!!!

Thanks

No need to worry so much abt overfeeding. My gal drinks 150ml ebm per feed, avg abt 7 times a day. She latches to slp at nite too. She's 6.96kg at 3 mths 1 wk, at 90 to 97 percentile. My boy was out of range since 3 mths last time. But they r both healthy n happy. Chubby babies r cute! Anyway, when they start running ard, they will lose dat baby fat... Den not so cute anymore....

Hi everyone! New to this group as I was supposed to give birth in Jan 2016. However, due to preterm labour complications, and placenta previa major, I had an elective c section on 29th December. So my mom got her wish for an SG50 baby. My little one is 5 months now, and she'll be starting infant care next week, and I'm feeling a little sad that I have to adjust to not having her at home when I come back from work (she was being cared for by an in-house nanny while I'm at work).

Hey, don't feel so bad that she isn't at home when you come back.. Look forward to her smiling to you when you see her through the glass as you pick her up! My baby is now 5 mths close to 6, and she's also in infantcare. Everyday when I pick her up , (she can recognize me), her face spreads out in the wide smiles and sometimes she makes noises. Those little moments really make my day. So having more moments like this, variety of memories, look forward to it instead!

I am current at serangoon Thomson women clinic but will probably change gynae as she will be on leave for 3weeks around my EDD. Considering Dr poon kingfu or Dr Douglas Ong cos they are both natural.

Great place. Nice. New. Super clean. Teachers are very loving and patient. Good price for the teacher student ratio. They truly live out their values that each and every individual child is fearfully and wonderfully made. If I have a 2nd kid, I would put my child there in a heartbeat. My kid has graduated from that centre but loved it there.

Hi all mummies,
Congrats for the new additions to the family.
I am trying to conceive too after having 1 lil princess that is the 17 month and 6 days old.
The only worry is that I am afraid that I might need to go through the butchering process again (c sect ) as I went through that ordeal for my first.(unless perhaps my gynae says that it is possible to try natural but she did not put high hoped in her comment)
At the samw time, my mum (her grandma) is running her online kids' boutique fuelled by her love for her granddaughter. You might wish to browse and shop some unique dresses for your lil princesses.
Let me know if anything catches your eyes and discount can be offered.

Jiayous mummies !
