sunflower: 588.50 include urine test, routine blood test, ultrasound scans, antenatal vitamins and postnatal. but it exclude hormone or other sick like cough n flu med. =) If u buy le anything happen *touch wood* they will off set for u also de. previously when i had a mc i didnt buy the package but they print the receipt for me everything and TMC can let me claim some of them =) are u intending to deliver in TMC? if yes will be cheaper as for Woody if u ask him go another hospital will have a additional charges. infact all docs are like that de la. hee. If u want u can go CCK and visit him he open at 930-12pm Mon-Sat and 6-8pm on Mon & thursday Only. After u had a 1st visit with him u will have a paper that tell u the bill of the package =) u can call 68931227 if anything unsure. WAH i keep promoting woody gynea he must give me some commission sia! LOL

babbiee: thanks for your help. I will gather more information of the gyane around west. My case is a bit different cause mine baby is a FET baby. I find waiting time in hospital is too long. waiting time for medicine at least 1-1.5 hrs not inlcude seeing dr. And they are open office hour only.

yaya: congrats. my baby might enjoy the same date as my hubby. haha... in future i onli need to celebrate one time for 2 person!!!

I think I'm having motion sickness at times. My ms peaks during evening and usually I'll ends up with no appetite, nauseous-ness, pukey feeling. So bad that I kept asking hb why do we women have to go through all these and my hb would replied that 'this is the reason y I'm still around'... >.<!

I've just tested positive so should be starting my 5th week today. I need some recommendations for gynae in the East like bedok, tampines, etc.. Anyone know of any? TIA~ =)

Btw, I have been having mild cramps a few weeks back and its much better now. But the mild cramps now come at night just before I sleep. Is this normal? Not sure if its mild cramps or stomachache though (can no longer differentiate after a period where I had mild cramps and diarrhoea at the same time. haha).

i also having mild cramp, mostly around evening time. The feeling is very scary. very worry and keep going toilet to check.

Ask you all, does your nausea cause you end up vomitting? so far mine is only wanted to gag but never really vomit out. Does anyone same situation as me?

Bbkk, so far, i vomited only once as i was also having a migraine. So i think i'm like you, got nausea but gag only.

bb Regine, dear take care and rest more. So long as GP know you're pregnant, they should give you medicine safe for pregnancy. My gynae told me if flu, the flu tablet "Chloropheniramine" is safe for preggy. If you're really sick then take it and rest more. Dont worry so much.

I've not seen a gynae. I just based my pregnancy on the BabyCentre pregnancy iphone app.

Think I'll wait till a few more weeks before I go see a gynae.

My gynae delivery package is $1400 include of deposit of $500 for the consultation and scan for each visit. My package start from week 12.
 
bb regine, prescribed by GP knowing that you're pregnant should be safe. Think your flu could be quite bad that's why doctor gave you antibiotics.

Don't worry so much. Just be happy! My first pregnancy that time i don't have ms at all, just a bit bloated at times. Baby also grew fine. No MS or no vomitting also ok de.
 
Hi sleepy skies, I am with Hk Ho too. Went to see him earlier this week cos I have bad cramps. Like you, I do not know if it's cramp or it's stomach. Dr say it could be due to my cyst or my irritable bowel syndrome. I am still having the pain the last few nights... I hoping every time will be fine...let's Jia you

I am only seeing Dr Ho next Tues (1st appt) so I hope everything is ok then. I saw Dr Ho a few mths ago for a cyst that came up during a medical checkup but Dr Ho said that cyst disappeared by itself. I hope it didnt appear again..

Did Dr Ho prescribe any medication for the cramps? My cramps were pretty strong (but not as strong as when I have my period) at the beginning but recently much better...just that I still feel it at night before I sleep. Dont know if its a sign for me to go toilet. hahah. Yes, we must jiayou together.

When's your next visit to Dr Ho? Did he share with you his gynae delivery package etc? He didnt want to share with me the other time I went to check on my cyst so I have no idea what are his charges like...I just know its not cheap. :p

Ok my paper wrote that
Normal delivery package includes all antenatal visits till delivery, standard vitamins, urine test, ultrasound scan each visit and delivery $1400 (incl of deposit)

Package start from 11/12 weeks
Deposit for package is $500. the reminder of the package is payable upon delivery and will be claimed thru hospital.

But dr Adrain woodworth so far is the best known gynae in west area that I heard off.

My ex gynae package cheaper. Total $1000 incl of delivery and package start from second visit.
 
Pinktulip, you may schedule your appt this sat or next week shd be able to see the heartbeat. I saw mine on exactly 6weeks

I like dr foong to the max, he is the best gynae among my other gynaes. I have 3 gynae in total.
Hubby and I so much wanted to egage him for delivery but he dun have any package which I feel very ex. If he got package I sure go to him.
I went to him becos of fertility issue. Trying baby for few months so decided to get a fertility dr rather than just gynae so I chose him and read alot of good review.
He is very detailed and explained every single thing to you and ensure everything is correct. I would say his judgement and confident win my heart. Any patient went to him sure raved good review on him, I am very sure of that.
If you dun mind his got no package, he is definately the best choice.
 
my first child is delivered by Dr Peter Chew. He is quite good but i find him too expensive... i spend 10K on gynae n hop fees at gleneagles (2 bedded) so wanna get another gynae which is easier on the pocket...
 
Tested positive just Monday. Have slight bleeding thus when straight to see Gynaecologist. Took HCG blood test &amp; scanning(both). Can't see anything. Seen Gynaecologist yesterday. Got the HCG reading. 1st test 3000 plus &amp; 2nd test 8000 plus. Did ultrasound again but can't see the sac. Gynaecologist say little strange not able to see sac due to high hcg level.. Sob sob.. Good news is that HCG levels double though. I have irregular menses all this while.. Can't really remember when is my lM date. I think we concieve around sept 4 when we went to Australia for holiday. Do you all think is too early to see anything? I am freaking out from all the information on the Internet. Hee Hee
 
kiringal, if you think it is ard sept 4, is less than 1 mth, so maybe that is why not able to see...

maybe u wait for another 2 weeks and check again, by then sld be able to see...

Congrats! It's only 27 Sep 2012 today so I guess it's really very early for you. Probably only 3 weeks? Be patient and wait till you're about 6-8 weeks? Some people also feel it's not good to scan too early. Even if you go polyclinic, they won't scan at all until baby's at least 4-5 months in gestation.

Bbkk, yes, cause the package only include his consultation cost, i ve to pay for my urine test, procedure, scan and ALL the vitamins every single visit.

Tt is why it add up to so much....

$10k?! Wow, your hubby &amp; you must be doing well financially. To me that's a really huge amount of money. I think I spent about $2k on delivery - 1 bedder in Parkway East Hospital but probably got some cash back too, maybe about $500-$800.
But GlenE is an awesome private hospital right, so I guess that's to be expected.

I only used a cheap pregnancy test strip to test. I tested a few times too coz I couldn't believe it. I tested a week earlier, not positive. Suddenly the following week, positive! Hehe. I can imagine how excited you are as this is your first pregnancy :)
Don't worry, the pregnancy symptoms would probably kick in when you're about 6-7 weeks preggy.... then you won't really miss not feeling it. For now I still don't gag too much when I brush my teeth but that's really a characteristic of my previous pregnancies. It's a matter of time before it comes back.

First test 19
Second test 67
Third test 600+
And those numbers are during week 3-week 4.
Given by your numbers, ur hcg is high, could it be twins? I read high hcg could be twins.

Kiringal: I had my hcg tested too. I took it when I am ard 3 weeks plus 4 weeks. First reading was 1700, second reading 3054. This is 36 hours apart.. I also had high reading but mine is not twins.. I am now 8 weeks 2 days. Don't worry.. Symptoms will kick in ard 6 weeks onwards.. Just ensure that there is no spotting or bleeding.. Try to rest more and eat healthy.. Ok? Its better to go ard 6 weeks to see gyne, cos by den you should be able to see heartbeat.. All will go well for you.. Don't worry ok?
