Hi all
Been following and reading this thread, so fast and cant catch up as need to work in day time.
My first gynae visit on 31th this month, using online calculator, should be 5w+. Nausea not kicking in yet, not so looking fwd but good to have also. When I had my #1, I describe it as *miserable* period.
This is my #2, #1 turning 2 in Dec. BF #1 till she is 14months old.
Just to share some experience
Pregnancy pillow, not that necessary after all, you just need to place a pillow below your tummy, more needed from end 2nd Trimester till birth
BF pillow,
I though it's good, but actually not necessary for me. Reason being - MESSY. My supply was good and when I BF one side, the other side started to leak or spray. I have to press, clean, whole baby, make sure the pillow in place..Can imagine how busy and messy it can be. So I give up. Also when baby hungry, they cant wait, they cry. It's too slow for me to put on the nursing pillow, then carry her, then feed. By then whole family already wokr up. I BF using dog style. lying down on bed, I can sleep while BF at night (haha).
Engorgement
Had that badly. You need to fully relax to clear it. I tried to listen song and sing together, it clear within 6 minutes! I was trying to pump for almost an hour. Second time, I tried to pump 3 hours, cant clear. Pain like HELL! I went to facebooking, it cleared within 10 minutes. Relax is the medicine to cure engorgement.
Massage
No massage for first month. Pls look for those specialist if you need massage from 2nd trimester onwards.
Hair drop
In 2nd trimester, your hair is the most beautiful period, no drop, smooth like angel! After birth is the worst period. Drop till I scared will bold
Outbreak
Heard if you are carrying baby boy, will have it.
Soya Bean
Please do not over drink, especially if you are carrying a boy. It contain some *feminie* stuffs.
Green bean soup or black sesame
Can drink in 2nd trimester, bbay will have blackie hairs (I tried that, my girl has many hair and very black when born)
Last but not least, Congrats to all mummies! Let's get through this period together by sharing pain and joy for sure!
