then i think she realised my abit is many bitsss... hahaha...

She will say eat cold stuff, bb will be very prone to cold and coughs... blah blah..

xta - tell ur MIL no need to heat up. Will destroy the nutrients in your milk. Just pour out and let it sit for a while at room temp. Won't be so cold to drink. This is what I do for my Meiji milk.

radhika - i think good confinement ladies would have been booked by now. have you tried confinement agency?
 
hello! I am finally back online. today is my 2nd day of work, thats why can sneak in for a while after lunch to read the forum.

Rgd diapers, as i have engaged a CL, i am going to use cloth diaper for day and only normal diapers for night. Also for #1, i totally skipped the newborn size. I started with pampers S size which can be used for 3kg and up. The only newborn diapers which I had was the remaining pack from hospital. Also, as we need to change the diapers very frequently during the first few months, i didnt bother using the expensive ones. I have been using Fittis (even up to now) for day and pampers/huggies for night. They have served me very well. Nv kenna diaper rash before. But of cos i also did apply diaper rash cream every time i change #1's diaper.

BP, wow then u gg to buy unisex clothes?

My next gynae visit is this thurs! Gg to my little precious again. Dunno if the blood test result for Oscar is out anot. Hopefully everything is all right.

radhika - I used GPLS confinement agency last year. The nanny they sent was good. Pricing also reasonable. I'm going to call them again when I cross 2nd trimester.

Have not logged in for a while because of ms and fatigue. This is my 12th week and MS is still there. For my #1, my ms stopped the moment i reached week 12th. Wonder why ms is still here for this one> Has anyone recovered?

I read in the earlier thread about feeling baby kicking. I felt it too and confirmed with my gynae. She said that for #2 onwards, it is possible to feel it as early as in the late part of 1st trimester. I thought I was being too imaginative.

Daph - I have been on 4 weeks of hospitalisation leave and going on for 2 more. My boss refused to return my calls when I first wanted to tell her about my hosp leave. I am likely to get fired after I return from my maternity leave.
 
Mothers who can feel the kicking already, I envy you... until today I do not know if the bubbles is Baby E, or is my undigested food.
 
Sasayeo: You asking about calcium? I get Goi to tell you what he feeds me. But you must be able to swallow huge tablets, otherwise it'll be troublesome crushing to ingest all the time.
 
My MS has subsided a bit, no longer as bad as last week, but I'm not entirely sure coz this week I'm down with flu, might be masking or get mixed up with MS.

purplewish: I wanted to move appt with KL to earlier, but all fully booked. Oh wells, hope Baby E wakes early on Saturday morning and moves during the scan. Btw, you hoping for a girl?

Totally agreed on the mind set that when u think of puke, it will come out. But most of the time is the smell of the surrounding. Esp i living in new hse(new hse smell eewww....)

Xta: mayb u can drink the brand Annum? I aso drank that choco flavour, cuz i scare baby don like vanila flavour den wasted.

BP I used Dr Chin too when I had baby #1 in Singapore. I thought she was quite good but surprised that so few people on the forums use her.

I am 12+3 and MS seems to have worsened terribly. Threw up everything since Sunday night. Today I just eat with the mental preparation that everything is going to come out. So trying to stick to soft foods, easier to puke, hate it when the puke is lumpy and slides down my tongue on the way out. Very tearful as well. Keep asking God (and I'm not religious) when this will be over.
 
Oh BP I'm above 35. 36 actually. Are you? I find alot of the mummies are very young.. but then so was I when I had #1.

DL I believe dehydration leads to having blood in my spit and snot. Just streaks not alot.
 
sasayeo: I feed Joyce 350mg of calcium citrate. It's a more bio-available form of calcium and doesn't need to be taken with food to be absorbed. Actually, I wanted her to take 3 pills a day as the daily recommended dosage for pregnant women is about 1g from my research, but like she said, the tablets are huge so it's quite hard to swallow 3 a day.

The problem with calcium in multivitamins is that their dosage is usually very low as 1g of calcium really takes up a lot of space.

This morning my MIL dunno gimme what drink... no more heated HL milk... today is EGG water ?!?!?!

BP: My boss 40 this year, considered high risk by age. She skipped Oscar and went on to Amnio directly, she say save the Oscar $$$ since Oscar results is not reliable at all.
 
sasayeo, i had this feeling few weeks ago too. now slightly better.

today i had to keep another skirt in my wardrobe..can't zip up oredi.. i think gotta start wearing my maternity clothes very soon liao..
 
Sasa, maybe you have to try and error the different brands of milk.

For my #1, I tried all different brands of milk, Marigold, HL, milk powder, etc. Tested all and found out I can drink Meiji... But only choco flavor. Even Meiji vanilla or strawberry also cannot. Picky bb huh ! Hehe!
 
To the MTBs drinking milk: Do you find drinking milk results in more phlegm?

Xta: Make sure the "egg" is fully cooked otherwise you run the risk of ingesting bacteria!
 
@Joyce: Ok my egg water tastes sweet... still acceptable, like sweet soup. I asked my MIL.. is it cooked? She say yes... @.@
Still quite warm in my thermal flask... i think i will discard the rest later.. =x

Sometimes drinking milk in the morning i find that i have more gas... more bubbles and burps


@Sasayeo: Ask your hub to secretly add abit of milk to your milo leh? Milk shake??
 
i guess my bb luv drinking milk. I can drink almost every kind of milk except goat milk

@sasayeo , u drink horlick? horlick got calcium too. 532mg calcium for 28g (1pkt of instant horlick) based on the table

my cousin was telling me when she was expecting her son (#1), she loves to drink fresh milk and her son was born very fair..even now, after he goes under the sun, he still doesn't get dark.
then when she was expecting her girl (#2), she couldn't take fresh milk at all, she only drank chocolate milk / milo, and her girl is darker in complexion... now just slightly under the sun, she will get her tan.. quite interesting..

when i was expecting my #1, i like to drink Teh-C, my girl is also not very fair..heehee..
 
I drank 3 litres of milk per week with my #1, when she was young,s he's very fair. now under the sun she's tan. hahah.. so milk don't work for her. probably coz both hubs and I are tanned.

I drank a lot of milk and ate vanilla ice cream for my #1 but my girl still turns out tan. Haha...so it did not work for my girl too.

I started puking again yesterday and this morning. Xian...when will it go away?

I realised that I can only drink either ice water or very hot water. Room temperature water makes me very uncomfortable. Are you guys the same?

I just tried Fruit Tree Pomegranate fruit juice. Maybe you all can try it. I like it because it is a bit sour so it feels very comfortable.
 
How about drinking soybean milk , will it make baby fair ? :p
I couldn't take fresh milk , have been drinking soya milk and Milo very often ;)

I just got miscarriage..went to see gynae last week n still no heartbeat so decide to do d&amp;c. So i guess i wont be joining this thread anymore
