LOl i a bit KS, as first time mum...i got a lot to learn
like sterilize the bottles and the baby needs and wants and behaviour
i just worry the CL cannot cope or make it.. at least i have the knowledge there

at home i have no one to depend on so need to get some knowledge to back up myself...

my gynae strongly recommend to take calcium, it not only for Baby and also for you... please he told me calcium can "calm" the uterus
 


Pommes - do you want to try my gynae at TMC. He is Dr T C Chang. It is not that difficult to get an apt with him. He is the Head of Fetal Medicine in TMC and he specialise in high risk pregnancy.

Dont worry about weight as long as the baby is growing. Most of us just recovered or recovering from MS so it will take a while to put back the weight. Just eat healthy.

My gynae recommended calcium too because from 15 weeks onwards (i think), the baby will start absorbing calcium from us. If we do not have enough, the calcium will be absorbed from our own storage so Calcium is really impt.

Also, a lot of mummies suffer from back ache after birth and the misconception is that the cause is from epidural but it is actually the lack of calcium, according to the gynae. I did not take enough for my #1 and I had backache. This time round, I faithfully take my calcium pills.

I usd ameda for #2, served me well, i will buy this pump again this time round. However, the bottles attached are sall, i think at most 180ml only. I got to prepare extra avent bottles at aside, if not, will overflow everytime i pump.

What kind of cream to put for the breast?? Any body lotion or got special cream just for the breast?
 
Speaking of breasts, I noticed my nipples starting to turn really dark in color on some parts and also beginning to accumulate some kind of white-yellowish sediments. Is it because they're leaking already?

By your experiences, when do preggers usually start producing milk?

i juz use the regular body cream. not sure if we could use bust cream during preg. pretty sure clarins counter lady told me not to.

me too!! and i use cotton bud to clean it.. and i smell it... it got milky smell smell
i ask gynae before, he said it normal as breast is preparing the milk thingy

heee.... my friend who going to give birth next month, she said she tried out her breast pump on herself and she said there was "something" flowing out... hence i believe our body is preparing for the baby arrival

that is said by my GP as they said the syrup although natural but is not tested for pregnancy.. to be safe better dont drink
 
Yes, exciting! But it will not "overflow" right? Don't want to suddenly have wet patches on my clothes while I'm out. Hee.

Tlow- I finally managed to get an appt with dr ho. But was told that I can't take the packages because of my condition. Nvm.. As long as I n bb in gd hands, that's most impt!

Can someone let me know how to count the maternity leave? Does it include sat, sun & public holidays???

I have forgotten how i counted last maternity leave as I was given hospitalisation since I'm 7mths preggy n followed by on the day i give birth is the maternity leave.

Yes, H4H, I read about the possibility of early contractions for women. I warned my husband not to touch them, but he says my "eyes" are looking at him. Duh!
 
Haha...Catherine, you hubby is so funny!

It is best not to stimulate the nipples as it will cause early contraction. Nipples turn dark so that the baby can "identify".

Yeah...mine are swollen and painful too. I did not wear a bra to sleep a few nights ago and my nipples had abrasion. SORE!!!

it's monday again..

recently my baby has been active ...kicking around especially in the afternoon and evening..
my elder girl has been also disturbing the baby by tapping my tummy ..quite funny..

my detailed scan is next Wednesday =) Looking forward to the scan and confirming gender to go shopping!!
 
Wow.. So many mummies going for detailed scan so soon. It marks half of our pregnancy journey is gone.

And many have felt bb kicking. While I'm 2nd time mummy... I can't be sure if those are bb kicks.
 
It's a blue day.
Every Sunday, I will start getting a headache that lasts till end of Monday. This morning, I even broke my glass mug cover.

H4H, yes, the feeling is great provided he's not kicking my bladder or somewhere that hurts! which he has been doing all morning. hahahah

for my, my baby is like doing hip hop inside me.. he or she is rolling till my tummy feel damn weird haaaa.... i prefer he or she tap me rather...
