AsRias: no. traditional nappy cloth in fact size is just nice. If u want the width longer, just combine 2 pcs. like popiah skin, one overlap each other not aligned.

put it on the bed in diamond shape.
fold the top so you have a level like a solitare diamond.
then put baby on top, neck align to the swaddle top.
fold in left with left hand inside, right hand outside, tuck the end behind baby's butt.
fold in the cloth at the legs area.
fold in right with right hand inside and tuck the excess cloth behind.
You should have enough cloth to tuck the tailend into the leg area.

buying abit waste $. cause swaddling is only for first few months. i swaddled for 2mths only. then baby was so big, he sleep better unswaddled.

Fleurfleur.. not yet. Is it too soon? I'm sure poly clinic would be cheaper, but I don't necessarily want to go there since they are usually trainee doctors and the queues are long. Probably will get my gynae to recommend.

these 2 positions r mostly used till about 6mths, while i favour the upright position, you may choose to use the nursing position for easier handling.

nattan: my hb calculated that we spent about $1k-$1.5k on total immunizations for #1.
All done @ #1's birth PD which is recommended by gynae.
We did 5-in-1, Rotavirus, MMR, Peumoccocal.
This time, we'll go polyclinic for the package.

I see on the Mothercare FB page that things are getting out of control.. don't they improve from previous yrs? Funny... why can't they hold a bigger fair at the atrium or at another venue like Suntec or Expo and get more people to man the cashiers. I definitely don't want to queue 2hrs to buy something.. they have to be more considerate to pregnant mums who cannot stand for so long!!

I did it at Polyclinic as there's priority Q for NB and waiting time was not too long. I think they offer different package depending whether you want optional jabs.</font>

Just came back from the Mothercare sale and manage to get a few items. Yes i must say the queue to get in and for payment was horrendous, luckily hubby was there to help.

It's quite horrifying to read abt the comments on the sale from their FB page. It puts me totally off going there. It just seems like they are totally not ready to manage a crowd and sale of this size which is quite odd if this isn't the first time the sale has been organized!

Have your belly buttons popped out yet? Hehe mine currently looks really stretched out and yes, very good for cleaning the base considering I've always been an innie. Hubby keeps
commenting and saying that oh look, you are going to have a third nipple sticking out.
