Ethan_ehel,
Hugz too!! My infections was the same as u. I was also treated 2 rounds, took swab test but gynae not concern of the results. He say I took med so is ok. My nausea also everyday issue, 24/7. Super depressing... I feel best when I slp and can forget nausea, but now in second trimester, I dun slp as much

welcome larson. never heard of moo moo kow!

hubby and i chose gender scan instead of amnio when we were told our risk for DS baby was 1 in 91 (cos it's non evasive). but have decided to cancel that appt as we got the all clear from today's detailed scan

what about you? how come you need? have heard lots of good reviews re dr ananakumar. yup they want to test around that time and you have to bring any results of any other tests you have done with your gynae too, for comparison. are you waiting for a slot? want to take my appt time? 1130am next tues 6 dec.

Pink, my gynae is not pro detailed scan as my Oscar result was superb, he advocates minimum scans. Since I've asked, therefore they fixed my appt on 21 Dec, I've checked with clinic, I should best test between 22-27 Dec, I've waitlisted myself on 22 Dec, while I'm taking my time to think if I want to do it.

Mossie,
Ya, gynae said that just make sure infection is clear 1 mth before EDD can already..
My #1 is a boy n vomited till 5 mths, after that Gestational diabetes gotta control diet n do prick test 7 times a day..but think I forgot all the discomfort the moment I see him on my chest after delivery...
This time round, was hoping for a ger but gynae scan n saw something between the legs thus 80% is a boy.. Probably that explains why I'm vomitting like mad as #1...

Mossie: Guess u r not alone. For #1, I vomit till ard 6mths. For now, I still vomit at times but not as bad as d 1st trimester. Most of d time I vomit due to overeating which causes indigestion n belatedness or intake of garlic..

Sorry mummies for all the discomfort that comes with this pregnancy. BEAR HUGS.

I do not feel anything with no.1 who is a girl. This time, though I do not "merlion" badly, just 2-3 times, till now, I still cannot do fish, not even fishball!!!

Aall along I thought detailed scan is compulsory cos everyone seems to be doing it! But it's nice and reassuring to see all the organs forming nicely. It's so amazing that we can see so much thru the scans. Sonographer could even tell me "your baby just emptied her bladder"

First thing I said when I went in was "hopefully we can find out gender today". She said "hope so too. 99% of the time can tell, let's hope you're not the 1%!". Then who knows, the moment the scan started, 3 distinct lines appeared on the screen"

Congrats Smoke on having twin girls! you'll have so much fun dressing them up. From my experience, girls just know quite early on what they want to wear! My boy was so bochap at the same age. He only started choosing his clothes when he turned 3 plus and even then he has little aesthetic sense. He just wants to have the t-shirt with the cars/trains etc.

Garlic and onions are like poison to me. I stay clear of them as well, along with lots of strong smelling food and fish too.

Because of the nausea, everyday feels like first trimester to me. I hate it when pple ask me why I still puking, hello?! I also Wana know why. Even mum said that... Esp she witness me going through all these with #1.

I'm so looking forward to the birth of the baby. Now mentally prepare myself that I may have to go in alone as dh may be overseas. I just hoping the time can fast forward itself and we reach apr soon. Heeheee..

mossie i try not to use the vomit medicine, only when i travel. I notice weekend when i dun hv to work, i feel less nauseous, prob with more rest. But no choice still have to work. 1st trisemester i ever vomit blood trace before, gynea said cos too much vomit the veins in the throat were affected or sth like that.

Mine both girls. People always tell me becos carrying girl so i have more severe morning sickness. Guess it doesn't apply for you
happy.gif
Dont mind can I ask your tummy was round or pointed?

I also have yellow discharge but no discomfort so dr said should be fine. Just got to wear the daily pads.

I also developed sensitive skin, very itchy and uncomfortable, which only happened to me towards the end of the pregnancy for no 1
sad.gif
Any mummy here have that? I have to use a cream with steroid to ease it, a bit worry it will affect baby.

Let's hang in there together ya.

Miumiu - I have itchy skin on the belly too but it eased off when I used oil instead of cream to moisturise. Seems like cream was not good enough!

Steroid cream should be ok in small quantities. I have to use on my boy too as he has eczema. Do you still use moisturiser on top of the steroid cream?

yes, i either put calamine lotion or QV lotion on top of the cream - thats what the skin specialist told me to do. my gynea asked me to go see one when the skin issue persist for more than 1 week

i had it at my back at first, have to control myself v hard not to scratch, cos scratch already the affected area will expand. after i put the steroid cream it gone. then few days later appears on my buttock. then when it gone, appear on other areas. So frustrated. all in all i have used the cream for abt a month so a bit worry
sad.gif
but if just apply the lotion, doesn't help much.

El & qiqi, the itchy at belly maybe due to belly being expanded? I actually have many red spots in the affected area, not just feeling itchy. It's different from the stretch mark kind of itchy. I experienced both. My stretchmark can just appear overnight which is rather depressing.

If you don't see any red spot maybe it's due to dry skin, should put stretch mark cream instead? Or could also be you are sensitive to the current stretchmark cream. Many people, including me have allergy to Palmer stretchmark cream, be careful ah.

Miumiu - I tried QV lotion on my boy but yes, it doesn't work well without putting the steroid cream first. As long as the dermatologist says that it is ok to use the steroid cream when pregnant, it should be ok and your gynae also referred to him right?

I can get red spots too when it is too itchy on the belly and I scratch. So I started to use Argan oil and now I use body butter from PURE cosmetics. The lemon belly butter smells so good and is totally natural and vegan too so I feel safe using it!

Miumiu, I try not to take med for my #1 and puke until very bad. Partly becoz my gynae medicine was useless to me anyway. This time, this gynae assure me the medicine are ok so I went ahead to take. Esp my gastric giving me lots of probs and most of the time I vomit the gastric juice, there are traces of blood.

My tummy looks round to me, but my original figure is round to start with. Lol

Sensitive skin on tummy- I experience that with #1. It was due to using palmers stretch mark cream.

I'm allergic to Palmers Stretch mark cream too! Clarins Tonic Oil is still the best. Hoping for no stretchmarks for the third time round!

For those with sensitive skin, try using Jojoba Aloe Vera gel. Natural and soothe the itch and cooling when applied. Can get from Guardian.
