babycoco, i haven't started H on porridge yet. haha. will be going to the wet market this weekend to get bones/meat to make stock.
sweetkiss, if that's the case, then i think still have to blend/sieve the porridge together with meat, if any - to make the minced meat small enough so that baby can swallow and not choke. or you can cook the meat (in big pieces) with the porridge and when done, take out the meat, blend/puree then add into the porridge. theoretically should work. hehe.
fish porridge: think i'll do it this way - use pork bones, etc to cook porridge. fish will be steamed separately. so when cooked, will sieve/mash/blend the fish and add into the porridge. or when porridge is all ready, then only add in fish, scoop whatever amt needed and sieve/blend/mash. my theory again [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]
baby check-ups, if baby had the final dose of the pneumococcal vaccine when baby went for the 6-month assessment, then no more going to the PD till 1 yr old. H only had her 1st dose of prevnar during the 6m assessment, so she'll be going again in May, then final one in Aug (i think)
rice cake: it's really, really bland - it's just rice and nothing else. so some babies may not like it. but it comes in other flavours - apple, raspberry (some berries lah). but must give it under supervision - H will lick the entire rice cake to make it soft and put the whole thing into her mouth! had to dig it out of her mouth
