mrslong -- jia you.. must remind urself its the hormones.. dun let it take over u.. must stay focus.. dun worry, ur milk will come. i think u must have been reading a lot abt us bfing so naturally u will feel stress..
but all of us also were like u.. and worse, i didnt even know how much colostrum i was producing.. first few days, bb got a lot of reserves, so its a time for u to practise latching but not necessary feeding. once u practise enough, the milk will kick in and u will be ready to feed bb when the reserves are used up.
i remember in my mind was not about feeding bb cause i know if i got no milk, i got alternatives. but my goal was to be able to latch bb properly so the rest can fall in place nicely.
stay focus ya.. talk to ur hubby and let him share this parenthood with u too... [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]
Sean -- growth spurt perhaps. feed on demand. check diapers, change bb sleep position, let him latch and see if he wants more milk or not.
sometimes bb jus want body contact, even holding hands, patting also considered. try not to carry too much. if u need to, dun carry bb immediately when u hear him cry so he will be patient enough to wait...
my bb also gimme a good time last night after her cleaning session.. 9pm to 1am.. it all ended when its time for her next feed and she suckle and slept till 5am this morning and everything was back to normal.
sometimes, its also their waking time.
oh ya, do take note what time bb does this. if its colic, normally it will happen arnd the same time for the same duration de... bb tend to have colic. u can google and read about it. theres no remedy for it, but u can try gripe water..
