(2010/07) July 2010 MTB

Just finish seeing gynae. BB is now 36wks & estimated to be 3.7kg. Still 3cm dilated. Moreover today i have contraction. So gynae suggested maybe i wanna consider breaking my waterbag & deliver since it's safe to do it already. In fact if i wan, can do so today.



After discussion with hubby, we decided to go Mt A today to break the waterbag cos if we wait, i think most likely i would have to go for C-sec le.



Now me going home to bath before heading down to hospital.



So frighten now. I scare if waterbag break, the pain would be intolerable. Gynae say i could request for epi before breaking waterbag. I also dunno what to do. At a lost now.

i trust that ur gynae will be there to help u when u need help.



contractions will not kick in immediately after waterbag is broken. takes about 1-2hrs and u r well dilated now. think if all goes well, u shd see ur bb before the day ends.

carol: i have been feeling those symptoms for 2 weeks already! think baby getting really heavy, now i walk or stand for 10 mins the whole pelvic area gets so painful. sigh

minibean: Yup.. BB is huge.. that's why decided to break waterbag now cos if wait further, really no need to do natural.. just arrange a date for C-sec liao. Hehe!!

Today my contractions like quite regular. Even when I stand up, I also can feel the contraction. Now I am home.. doing last min prep before i leave for hospital. Will try to come into the forum later and chit chat if I can somehow manage it. Haha!!!

This morning went for my 37th week check up. All is well.

Hmm, I asked my gynae to check if umblilical cord is out of the way for my kiddo...dunno y why I asked. She did a check and found that the cord is round the BB's neck 2 rounds...She assured me it is ok... Now I gotta monitor fetal movement. Gynae did mention if I want, can induce and let BB out next week. Told her I'll like him to decide when he wants out... Furthermore, wish for him to be of enough mass b4 making grand appearance. Right now he's 2.8kg. Hope he can hit 3.kg. He's gaining like 100g per week bah despite me eating a lot this whole week.



Decided to do BW today! So I went to Wheellock place to do it. Wow! This time round it hurt!!! I don't remember the last time I did it at week 38 it hurt so much... Think this therapist not really experienced... but I gritted my teeth and did it!! Now felt so clean and smooth and ready!

my waterbag burst this morning at 2 am and I've given birth to a 2.925 kg baby girl at 4.09 am. Will update with my birth story and pictures soon.

 
u mummies got eat tibits during pregnancy?

ytd finished whole packet of potato chips with my hubby..a bit guilty..

wonder ll hurt bb's kidney or not..

I am now in my 35 wks and 4 days.

wat I am planning was if bb headdown and I am already dialate from 37wk to 39wk sure can go natural.



if bb headdown and I still havent not dialate i will go for induction cos i dont wan to wait for bb weight to get heavy then need to go c-section. (anyway will also seek for gynae recommendation)



if bb dont headdown.. confirm I will go for c-section by then weight is no longer a issue.

yes, i had titbits. i just had nachos with cheese & salsa dip day before. when confinement probably cant eat any of the things i want so i treat myself every other day eg weekend i had an icecream. last week i had a chocolate eclair whilst waiting for doc appt and i felt that many of the mommies there for appt stared @ me for eating that .. lol!

i eat tibits quite often, not only ice-cream, but oso potato chips, "bao bao" etc..

last time i ate almost 1 bottle of Lay's vinegar & salt potato chips, so salty[IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif]

ytd i tried to control my desire to eat the chips, but whenever i think i cant have all these during confinement, then cant help myself to eat..:p

 
carol, i'm also a huge potato chips fan, can finish a whole big pack of ruffles by myself. but since i got preg, can't stand potato chips anymore. problem with eating potato chips is it might cause water retention cos very salty.



ann, good luck. look forward to your birth story. 3.7kg is a very good weight.

carol, i think no need to worry too much, not like you eat 1 bottle of chips per day, throughout the whole pregnancy right? and apart from chips, you got eat regular meals, so not like your bb only get nutrients from potato chips.

 
minibean & Ann : Congrats in advance! Are you going to opt for C-section with GA or epi? Very very soon u can hold your precious one in your arms le! have a smooth delivery!



phy : you mean your doc can actually see the cord round bb's neck twice thru ultra sound? Does that mean u have to go for C-section or still can consider natural ? hope all is well with you! Tell bb be good and move or turn too much leh. Take care and hang on in there! we are all getting near each day!

Ya, my gynae checked using the ultrasound machine. A bit worried but she assured me that he is not in danger... Told me abt a case of of the cord coiling ard the bb's neck for 5 rounds...



Now I become abit kancheong.. keep asking BB to move so that I know he is ok! haha



So near yet so far ya? That's how I feel. Gynae also tole me he is in good position already. Can be anytime also. So me officially join in the waiting game..



Ak, good that you're not doing the housework. Really must protect our body... after birth it is like being run over by a car..must take care.

Guess what! While i was reading thru the thread, i was munching on a bag of chips and i saw ur post..lol..i cant resist chips!



After reading all the post of mummies popping one by one..its making me all anxious even though my edd is on 25th Jul. Took MC today and stayed at home to sort out the hand me downs of bb clothes. Gg to start washing them this weekend.

I'm from Jan2010 thread and have this Gentle Glide Portable Glider from The First Years for sale as my fatty bon bon has outgrew it. This is retailing at $149 but I bought it at only $119 from Kiddy Palace sales. Suitable from birth to 11kg. Condition for the seat and glider is 9/10. However, the hanging mobile that is supposed to be able to rotate is not functioning. Had been in this condition since I bought it but did not bring it back for change as it was during my confinement and my DH was not free. A very good place to leave your LOs in when you need to calm them down as they are soothed by the gentle gliding motion and music.



Willing to let go at $50. Free delivery in the East or Central if the deal goes through. Otherwise, collection will be in Bedok. Item is now boxed up nicely in the original box.

Went for my weekly CTG today and everything is fine.. waiting for my next appt to see gynae on monday cause today didnt get to see him..



hopefully we can schedule for induction on tues.. or if bb is cooperative.. sunday also can pop.. lol..

 
went for routine check up this morning, bb weight 3.3kg at week 36. at week 29, bb weight abt 1.5. so within 7 week, bb gain double. seem like bb gaining too much weight.

 


Yeah, looks like 1st born BB girls are popping out earlier.



Remembered someone posted b4 saying that 1st born BB boy will usually pop after EDD.



BTW, went for a haircut this afternoon and I look so much fresher. Hair feels so light & short now!
