Do anyone know wat the reason that causes heartburn???? Really can't figure out at all.. Everytime it will come on n off... I hate this heartburn... Making me so miserable.... =(

 
Jasline - I am drinking 3 times aday.So i dont have heatburnt.



But when i was in hospital i dont have chance drink milk for 3 days so my heatburn came. I buy Gavinson liquid. Take 2 days. Seemed to help.



But i noticed when i drink low fat milk daily 3 times a day, i dont have heatburn anymore.



Maybe milk can help to relief the heatburn.

i cant explain why but for a while, milk helped me but now i turn to trusty Gaviscon like CT. works like a charm. its v safe, so take it after meals.

Ya I did try to drink warm milk.. but seems to work sometime only.. Also try keep drinking plain water but only help sometime too... haiz...

As for Gaviscon, I did buy but I dun dare to try at all... I scare the taste... Think worse come to worse die die also muz try... =P

Juz can't stand the stupid heartburn.. & I think weather is sooooo hot that sometime feel my head suddenly went blank & blur...

 
Carol: I been to once.. but i never see any baby product on sale lei.. maybe i wasn't paying attention ba.



Rmummy: You buying baby monitor? I am think whether i should get. But after confinement, BB will be back in the same room as me cos I dun wan BB to be in the same room as the maid from my in law side who will be coming to stay with me for 1 mth to learn how to take care of BB.



Jasline: I also got heartburn. Hate it to the core. Gynae gave me some medication to take too. Helps abit.. maybe after I finish this bottle, i also switch to Gavinson like the rest of the mummies.



Hospital: Just receive an sms confirmation from Mount Alvernia that my delivery booking had been confirmed.



Cord Blood Banking: Had also contacted public cord blood bank to meet up next week to sign the paper.



Seems like the nearer we get to delivery date, the more things we have to do. Haha!!

i read that some of your babies have yet to turn down.. i experienced the same thing when i had my girl last year.. someone told me shine a torchlight at your downunder for about a minute a day (at night). and baby will turn.. i did that for 3 days and the next gynae visit my baby turned.. not sure if its pure coincidence, but another of my threadmate did the same and her baby turned too. but not to worry, most babies will turn down when its time.. dun fret, mummies! hi Ann, i find baby monitor v useful even though my baby is still sleeping with me in the same room.



Cos she normally sleeps at 9pm, then i will go out into the living room and watch TV. And cos her bedroom is aircon, if she cries, i won't be able to hear her unless the monitor is on.



and it is especially useful when your baby is learning to turn or crawl cos the monitor will pick up the sounds.



There were a few times when i found her crawling onto my big bed from her cot which is attached to mine in the middle of her sleep!



and now for my #2, i am gg to buy another one cos i intend to let them sleep in separate rooms in the day....

mummies help! been perspiring non stop for last two days n its worrying me.. i dnt knw y but i dnt remember eating any heaty food. shld i juz drink d coconut juice? need advice

 
Aisha: Maybe it's just the weather. Had been real hot these days and my body keep feeling hot like an oven and perspiring too. Does it happen when u are in air con room?

 
me too.. perspiring like mad... i shower at least 3-4 times a day and change PJ twice a day... even when i take nap, i will perspire non stop with the fan blowing directly at me [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif](

 
Shann Yheng: I got the same pill to insert.. its called Gyro Travogen. My infection was very bad n i had to insert twice on consecutive days. Then everything was good but within a week, I kana infection again. Very irritated with the itch below.. then realized its caused by impaired OGTT. Now no choice... got to wait till next week for my appt..



Till now i still dunno how braxton feels like leh. Wondering how contraction feels like too. I only get the tight tight feeling..but didnt rem how long it last or how it went away.. very insignificant leh

Jelly Purin- You also bought GAviscon. I only take for 2 days, now in the fridge cause after i start back my milk drinking sessions 3 times a day i dont have heartburn.



Milk is those low fat milk in the fridge ones brand Farmland. I think full cream milk will have better effect on curing heatburn, but i cannot drink Full cream milk, i am on diet scared BB to big ..

re: baby developmt

32-33 wks baby is now 2kg and i hve put on 8.3kgs todate. seems like range of babies is abt 1.6-2.3kg for this 31-33 wk period [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

 
Did somebody say they bought the Braun thermscan thermometer with Tinyshop? Is there warranty?



I am also monitoring my glucose once a week, 7 times a day. Before and after each meal, and before bedtime. The readings are very controlled coz of the deliberate diet. Otherwise sure haywire with all the ice cream, waffles, bubble tea that I was consuming previously. Because of such a healthy diet, I lost 2 kg! Wonder how bb is doing though. Next checkup at 32 weeks only next Tuesday. Can't wait!

 
Hi kat! So I am not the only one to do finger prick so many times a day. But I ve to do 6 times a day till my next appt next week. I already have quite a control diet le.. so doubt i can cut down any further. But so far.. only gain weight... never once lost weight leh. hee

i switched from those fresh milk to this but i think it's kind of heaty on me..kept having pimples popping out on my tummy or shoulder area.



any mommies here also have the same prob?

so far ok..coz i drink 1 cup in the morn when i m on pm shift then pump in alot of plain water during the rest of the day..like tt won't heaty.

 
Atomic Kitten, i only insert once, but it didn't go away straight away lei.. lasted for a few days, then heal by itself. Now no more itch le.. ohhhhhh so only need to insert 1/2 pills la.. i tot they gave me wrongly, should have more pills and insert a few days in a row..



The weather is too hot and humid, i have to on air con wherever i go.. and must shower at least 3 times a day, shower then sleep!

 
ya, weather very hot recently..wearing sleeveless to wk n at hm to help abit. heng at nite is on air-con to slep n wk also in air-con..if nt will dehydrate loh...



drinking plain water like buffalo also leh..1 evening can finish half a kettle all by myself.

 
me too, must have aircond! so hot these days. will start to sweat after every shower, and i'm taking cold shower. before i go in for my shower, i'll switch on the aircond so that it'll be cool when i step into the room. otherwise will perspire even more! these days i like to expose my tummy - to cool it down. hehehe

 
When working, mostly stay in office so still nvm.. but when going out for lunch, i can perspire a lot too. the weather really hot. at nite, i also sweat after bathing... i tried to bathe with cold water but after i come out from the shower, i still feel hot.



yest went for my checkup and i put on 3kg in 3 weeks!!! this is the most weight i ever gained cos previously i always gain less than 2kg. must be the fast food & ice-cream i have been eating recently. and out of 3kg, only 300g belongs to baby. she is 2.1kg at 33 weeks+..

ann- yes even in aircon, i think its our body heat dat plays a part too..

vivi- me too till my bil says dat i look terrible when i walk/waddle. cant help it coz its really painful arnd d v area, when i want to toss n turn on d bed also painful n frm lying position to sitting position also pain... n dnt even start with d climbing up n dwn d stairs...haiz....

Alicia cannot woh, coz the packaging is sealed tight, not those re-sealable kind. but if i remember, one side of the package is covered with the Pigeon insert and the other side is only like 1/3 covered, so you maybe able to make out the fabric. for the labels, cannot see them at all



vivi ya, both bought from KL. so weird right? same brand, same packaging, material still 100% but slightly diff. maybe the other one is old stock

i also have 2 sets of different material from pigeon bought from msia 4 yrs ago



i have pic 1 but yours look more enhanced version and i have pic 2.



for me, i think pic 2 is slighlty smaller in size.

 
autrumn ya lor. i got both Pigeon from Jusco, which is a supermarket chain from Japan, so can't be pirated kwa? hahaha! luckily only 1 pack of the Pigeon is like Pic 2



i also have 1 pack of Pureen cloth diapers from MIL and the fabric is similar to Pigeon's Pic 2 but Pureen's thread count is even "lesser" than Pigeon's Pic 2 i.e. more "holey".hahaha. so overall, Pigeon still better la

i shined my phone at my tummy last night - switch off lights, set phone brightness to max - to see whether baby would follow the light as i moved it lower down my tummy. no lor, instead she moved away from it - maybe too bright

 
vivi no woh, Pic 2 is the same size as Pic 1 after wash but becoz of its material, Pic 2 can't be folded into a nice little square

 
ica, so your baby will be wearing cloth nappies? not diapers? i'm also thinking of getting pigeon cloth nappies. wonder how many i should buy.

 

babycoco my mom wants her grandchild to wear cloth diapers. she said better - old school thinking mah. i was thinking maybe at nite wear disposables but she said for at least 2 wks, let baby wear only cloth diapers. ok lor, since my mom's up to it. hehehe. but i also bought 1 pack NB disposable diapers, just in case both of us cannot tahan with the cloth diapers. hahaha!



i bought 3 packs cloth diapers + 1 thrown in by MIL, so all together, 40 pieces. should be more than enuf
