Hey, saw the news on the cake. The c for cupcake is it the one which has rotating cakes, and interview a young lady whose name a bit like Chinese Indonesian? The rotating cakes very nice!!! Next year will get dat! Looks prettier than PG cakes!
 
GG, ya i think she is indonesian chinese. Her brother send the cake to us, my hubby say they dun look local. They quite nice pple.
 
MTDT, oh really ah, Christy was interviewed? I missed the news leh. I met her and her hubby when she dropped by to deliver the cake. My hubby even gave her a copy of one of the books he wrote.

Next weekend finally is Ashton birthday party... But mine is at chalet nia.. Nothing fanciful...

Re : straw drinking
My bb drink from straw but everytime her bib will be all wet &amp; even her clothes will be wet too....;p....seems she is playing with the straw but she is able to drink with straws leh as I tried using the yakult straw in a cup on her....;p
She is still drinking from sprout too....;p

But she still drinking milk from bttle thou as feel she still wasted the water drinking from sprout/straw....;p

Anyone bb already drink milk from sprout or straw ? Dun use bttle now ? Do yr bb waste milk/play while drinking ?

Mmmm, dunno when shld I transit milk from bttle to sprout/straw ?

how's ur new maid? is she ok? got teach baby? since she is degree holder...hehe.
 
and I saw c for cupcakes on the news too! hopefully she dun increase her price after becoming famous....next yr I dont think I will throw a party for my gal....so no fanciful cake.

u all gonna throw big party every yr? v tiring leh!

canopyhaze, your bb is not the only one. mine also cant drink from sprout and straw. i tried sprout on him previously and he seems ok upon first try. who knows after that he like 'forgot' how to suck. let alone straw. now i let him to drink from normal open cup. will choke abit but he seems ok with some sips..
 
My girl also dunno how to drink fr sprout so i change to the straw directly. She can suck but she duno how to ctrl, so end up wetting her clothes. Mayb i shld let her try on the yakult straw since it's smaller.

Mummies, how much milk shld our bb drink now? My girl still prefer milk over solid food. Now they shld eat more meals

I use the Mag Mag straw only for water, not for milk yet

My bb yesterday drink a lot of pool water when swmimming! Everytime we put him face downwards he open his mouth and gulp water! Still cannot swim.
 
Jo, thanks!! Ya, I see the cupcakedivinity designs like v pretty and their handmolds all sooo nice, but didn't order cos not sure if taste good. End up went for PG. Next year wan try something different

canopyhaze, alicia, janiz : my bb also wet her clothes while using sprout &amp; straw.
I find using yakult straw like better.....;p

Janiz : my bb also prefer milk than solids as she takes little solids each time but she loves to snack - puffs &amp; bread.....;p
She doesnt really like cereal much now becos not much texture, so hv to try different ways to let her eat cereal like putting puffs/bread/banana etc in.

Btw mummies, do yr bb still eat cereal or juz porridge now ?
Mine sometimes juz eat porridge maybe twice or 3X/day or 1X cereal &amp; twice porridge.
 
Same here! My girl likes to snack on biscuit and bread too.

Hmmz i am still feeding her cereal as breakfast. Plus 1 teabreak and porridge At nite. Oops i think i need to reduce the milk feed and increase more meals liao. But my girl dun reali like porridge. Besides porridge, whAt else can we give now?
 
GG : use cereal as snack ? I use cereal as breakfast then porridge for lunch &amp; dinner.
Snack will be bread/puffs/fruit.....;p

So yr bb take how many times of porridge ?

Hw to encourage our babies to stand ah? Nn can stand Bt she is Nt confident. She will keep stretching to reach for my hands while standing on her own.

Alicia : Long Story! Hopefully the next one is good. Have yet to select. All i can say, it was a stressful &amp; terribly 5 days in my motherhood. Hubby &amp; I were so happy when we got rid of her!
 
Ainsley : how about letting nn to push a wagon or trolley so that she can hold onto something, and it will build up her confidence as well.
 
Ms tan, I give bb 1 slice bread w cheese or egg in morning, and 2 porridge for lunch and dinner. Or pasta. Late pm will be cereal w fruits, or sometimes fruits only, or bread or biscuits.

Wat else can we feed?
 
Canopy: wish u all e best in chosing ur new maid. Maybe next time u can share wif us esp those who wana get one on wat to look out for in a maid.
 
Alicia : thanks! really needed it! Maybe my hubby &amp; I were too nice to the maid! How's your morning sickness? No more i hope. Boss has officially hinted me not to have bb so fast! Sian~

I told her that we r planning for 2nd bb latest by 1st qrt 2012. Hopefully i get pregnant within these few months.
 
GG : ok, becos my case is cereal for bf then if she still wat more then gv her bread or a little puffs or biscuits.
Lunch &amp; dinner is porridge.
In between maybe she dun wat porridge then will gv her potato / fruit / bread etc. Snacks will be puffs/biscuits/fruit.

Think my bb sometimes dun feel like eating porridge - maybe sick of it.....;p

Tried macaroni &amp; mee suan but she dun really like. Bought pasta but hv not let her try yet.

Haa....I only intro ice-cream to her recently &amp; had let her tried pudding b4....;p
 
Btw mummies which ctry is bb friendly &amp; cheap ? I dun wat beach-like trip thou.
Was thinking of bb to travel next yr.
Btw, bb still need to pay a small fare + taxes for airlines ?
 
Canopy: my MS improved, hopefully it dun comes back. I'm now week 11, 1 more week to wk 12 before crossing over to 2nd tri. My boss has been v nice to me so far. She told me she will not load me with so much work. duno is it gd or bad but im not complaining. haha. She is v encourgaging as she herself wants a baby too but she is 37 y.o already but still dun have.

hope u get preggy soon too...;)

Canopyhaze: better get rid of a lousy one now than later. Maids r like this one sighhhhhh. I really don't like them but can't do without them. Cannot treat them too nice definitely and no need to pity them. I myself hv had too many encounters with them: 6 maids in 3 years! But one of my criteria is no indons. Kids too young to take risks with indon maids in my opinion. U will find a good one eventually but usually need to change a few to find a suitable one. My current one has been with me 1 year then recently pattern also. Think won't last long too.

Ainsley : I have one Fisher Price, and one Playskool. Quite ok, bb kiren can use them to push around the house.

Calamari : True, when the maid was around, our lives are pretty miserable. Treated her nice since 1st day but caught her using hp on day 1, gave her chance, and caught her again in the same day! then, she wanna take off on Xmas day, wanna go to lucky plaza every month to remit $$, wanna know how to go to Orchard road from my house and oso to her friend's place! She claimed that she has never cooked for adults b4, ask her to wake up 6.30am and sleeps @ 10pm, she sleeps earlier than me, she went to bed @ 9pm, i came back from work, still gonna warm up my own food, and wash my own dishes! Hubby cancelled all his meetings, and didn't work for 1wk (lucky is his own biz), MIL came to stay with us for 1wk as she doesn't trust the maid and doesn't want her to touch bb Kiren, all my friends &amp; relatives who came for bb's 1st yr birthday think that she has a very canning look, and can't be trusted. She was shocked when we asked her to wash the cars.
My last straw was when people started to call our house early in the morning; and hung up with we pick up, we don't use our land line, and we found out from the dial out list, there were quite a few calls being dialed out. And she is forever hiding in the maid's toilet to sms or make fone calls in the day. She hangs a lot of lacy G-strings in the yard, she doesn't wear bra after she showers etc. Still got lotsa things to write....
